When it was time for a bathroom remodel we chose Gonzales Tile in Morgan Hill. The owner, Craig actually did some of the original bathroom tile work 15 years ago which was beautiful. So our decision to have Craig and his crew do our current project was easy. We knew it would be done to our satisfaction and it turned out absolutely over the top beautiful. From the tear out to the finishing touches everything was done very professionally. We had a designer help us with the layout for the master bathroom. We had a plan, but Craig suggested some functional changes in the design; some things that designers sometimes don't consider which contributed to the final layout. We went with the changes that Craig suggested in the tile layout as he obviously had the experience and knew what he was talking about. He explained everything he did and listened to any concerns we had and answered all our questions. My wife and I are perfectionists and in the end the craftsmanship of Craig and his crew exceeded our expectations. A month later we had Gonzales Tile do our guest bathroom! Thank you Craig and team for doing a fabulous job on my bathroom. I really wanted a top notch bathroom and my design was very detailed. I decided to go with a curbless shower (62 inches x 42 inches) shluder design, Spanish tiles (floor and subway Spanish tiles for the walls), tile spanning the entire bathroom walls. The floor underneath is completely water proofed due to curbless shower. The bathroom is 8 feet by 12 feet and attached are my photos. It's hard to find contractors in this economic upswing and more so quality. One of the most important things to remember when selecting a contractor is asking who is doing the work. Many times you hire a person or company and the person initially hired doesn't even touch the job or has no idea what to do. They hire sub contractors. No! Don't settle for this. I'm proud to recommend Gonzales Tile due to their professionalism and ability to set tile but also take the quality time in waterproofing. Craig Gonzales did a FANTASTIC job installing new tile surrounding our alcove bath. I've worked with several tile installers over the years and Craig was the best by far. He did the tear out, preparation, and installation himself, and did a meticulous and beautiful job every step of the way. When I turned out the tile we had ordered wasn't available at the last minute, he gave us some great advice on where to find some great tile in stock (at Bullnose Tile in San Jose). Craig has been setting tile for 20 years and you can tell he knows what he is doing and has a real commitment to craftsmanship. He got high praise from the people I spoke with about his work both at Bullnose Tile and Tile Fantastic. The shower nook he framed and built for us came out beautifully with the chrome Schulter trim we chose. He had great suggestions along the way to make the tile surround look minimalist and modern, just like we were aiming for. Also, Craig is a really nice person, professional, and respectful. Craig and his crew were professional from start to finish. I replaced the carpet and tile in the downstairs of my home which is roughly 1,000 square feet with a beautiful porcelain tile. I also ended up having Gonzales tile replace my baseboards. We had originally planned to do all of the demolition of the old tile and carpet ourselves but we ended up needing Craig and his team to assist with some of this last minute which added some extra unexpected days to the project. Craig and his team were very accommodating in regards to the extra work required to complete the project and were very respectful of my time, home and our furniture. I ordered the tile from one of the stores Gonzales tile has a partnership with and from there, Craig and his team handled the pick up of the tile. They also got rid of all of the old tile and carpet for us. The tile itself looks beautiful. It definitely exceeded our expectations. It is high quality craftsmanship and looks professional. My husband and I built a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house from the ground up without a General Contractor. We subsequently chose and juggled the gamut of sub-contractors. He provided a free estimate and was willing to take on a small project (3 hours of work on 2 separate days). He was good about returning phone calls, answering questions and showing up at the scheduled times for work. That is half the battle with contractors in the trades and I appreciated this immensely. Craig and his brother did the work themselves. There was a small glitch in matching the color of the grout to the existing grout, but Craig came back and fixed it to my satisfaction. We needed to replace our entire downstairs old carpet along with failing tile (that our builder put in). I have seen some of their work in other homes so I knew the quality of work was going to be amazing but they also accommodated our two dogs and two kids staying in our home while they worked. We first got a reference for Craig Gonzales through a plumber over a year ago. Called him and he came out and gave me an estimate for re-tiling my 1970's shower. We were thinking of moving at the time, but after seeing how good the shower looked, we thought of having our guest bath (floor and tub surround) done as well. We called Craig a second time and he was able to accommodate our busy work schedule by doing some of the work on weekends and in the late afternoon. This year, we decided that moving was not worthwhile in this economy, so it was time to replace the ugly 1970's parquet wooden floor in our kitchen/familyroom. We called Craig once again and he was again able to accommodate to our schedule. We selected a more unusual tile pattern (5 different size tiles that weave together) and it looks great! By the way, tile for all three projects was purchased at Bullnose Tile (off of Brokaw in San Jose). They seem to have the best prices and the folks there are down-to-earth, not "salesy" like in some of the commercial places. Glad we were able to support two local businesses three times! read more

I needed someone to make a couple of cuts in my installed Quartz kitchen counter top. I emailed Craig to see if he would do the work and he replied that evening. A couple of days later he stopped by to look at the job. He said he would be back the next morning at 8am to do the job. We had them install porcelain tile in our Kitchen floor and entry way also had them come back since they did such an AMAZING job to do our Kitchen backsplash with marble tiles. Awesome, awesome experience. Terrific service, excellent workmanship, solid pricing, and very responsive. We found Craig through Bullnose Tile, which we used to purchase porcelain tile and grout for a new tile floor (~200 sq ft) for our kitchen renovation in Feb 2016. We actually talked to quite a few tile contractors and encountered a wide range of response times, lead times, references/work examples and pricing. As an aside, it seems that everyone needs at least 2 weeks of lead time for scheduling, so plan accordingly. Gonzales Tile was the clear choice for us after going through all of that. We purchased our materials through Craig and was able to get his discounted pricing from Bullnose. Craig and Brett actually made two trips our to our place prior to installation: once to provide the quote, and once after demolition to assess the floor to determine whether anything needed to be replaced. The installation process itself took about 4 days beginning to end. They were very good about putting up plastic and tarps and a zipper door in advance to protect our carpet and keep the rest of our place tidy from dust. Before installation, they prepped the floor and added a ton of screws to eliminate some persistent squeaking in our floors (we have a 2nd floor condo). After grouting, they came back and addressed a few touch up areas. They cared a lot about our satisfaction with their work, and we were very happy with the results.
