We used this business to design and install cabinets and countertops for our kitchen. Warning: Creative Kitchens and Baths resents as a contractor.. this is a cabinet designer only, yet we didn't know this up front. Designer unlike a contractor expected to get paid up front and did not prioritize this project past delivery to completion though implies having their own expert installers who will install all of the cabinets, counters and tile. I originally gave this one star, yet I do still like the design, features, and materials.. yet I should.. it was a very expensive kitchen. Here's our experience: 1) Cabinets unmatching colors and 7 weeks late 2) Installer had to remove all of the drywall from our kitchen to fit the cabinets as measurements were not correct. 3) Installer late every day and no call/ no show 5 times. 4) Installer did not protect floors 5) cabinets wrong size and took 3 months to install. 6) Designer ordered 3 broom closets.. no shelves took over 4 months to get shleving for them 7) Installer did not remove trash including 100 square feet of drywall removed to fit cabinets and cardboard boxes all the cabinets came in. 8) Designer ordered wrong faucet and told the plumber to charge us for delivery. 9) Designer tried to get out of fixing the wrong mis-matching colored cabinets.. took over 4 months to get them stained to match. 10) Designer unresponsive to numerous calls from us and the installers the entire 130 days of project 11) Designer changes plans, called off installers and held up the project multiple times. 12) Designer completely forgot to order the hardware, countertops and tile holding up the project or creating stress as homeowner had to run to home depot to purchase emergency hardware, pick up the farm sink at the showroom, and do these things, or call multiple times. Bottom line: this designer represents quality manufacturers, yet doesn't know how to measure properly, order matching or useable cabinets, follow through with or manage a project and has very poor customer service. Find someone else and save yourself a headache. PS. The plumber, and countertop installers were great, as was two other carpenters that helped out.. thank you all for that.

We had a really great experience with Gilroy Glass, and especially with Steve…read more We did a pretty large project with them. They installed new glass shower enclosures in six bathrooms, about 5 very large mirrors in our home gym, and a glass enclosure for a wine display. The quality of the work and the installation was excellent, but what impressed me just as much was the communication and consistent excellent customer service.  One of our bathrooms had a somewhat unusual situation because the shower door is the same for our sauna. We needed a special handle that was metal on the shower side and wood on the sauna side. It took some work to figure to find something that would work, and Steve really went out of his way to research it and come up with a solution. Months after the install, that handle unexpectedly started to corrode. I brought it up to Steve, and there was absolutely no runaround. He took care of it right away and actually had a new custom handle made so we wouldn't have the same problem again. The new one looks even better than the original. We also had a couple of small things that needed attention after we moved back into the house--some sealant and a couple of the plastic water seals around the shower doors. Again, they were responsive and helpful and took care of everything. That kind of follow-up means a lot to me. It is one thing for a company to do a good job when they're getting paid to do the original project. It says a lot more about a company when, a year later, you call them with a relatively small issue and they are still just as responsive and willing to help. I would absolutely use Morgan Hill Glass again and would highly recommend them for shower enclosures, mirrors, custom glass work, or anything along those lines. Steve was exemplary to work with.

Demo and level old flooring and install new flooring in all the rooms. The kitchen and dining room floor was not leveled with the rest of the house, so James and his crew had to tear out the old floors and install plywood before installing the new floors to ensure that the new floors are leveled. We are completely satisfied with our new beautiful floors. 2. Install baseboard and chair rail. *Finishing is an art.* James has incredible attention to detail. He ensured that each baseboard fit perfectly, even the baseboards that hugged the kitchen cabinets, fit underneath the dishwasher and the spaces between the wall and door trim. He ensured that we were happy with the end results. 3. Brick up the old fireplace. James is a mason and his experience in this department showed. Transformed old fireplace into a plain wall. 4. Tile new fireplace. We chose big slabs that had to be mitered. James, through his connections, was able to save us money on the tile that we selected. Completely happy with our new fireplace. 5. The installers had to deal with my unusual requests to make two pedestals for paper hand towels to be stacked on, out of small, cut slabs. Also, a hole in each vanity, located just so, like at a fine restaurant, to discard the paper towel in, because there was a trash can underneath. I had very specific instructions and they dealt with the custom order.

He started stammering when I asked if he knew anything about the trees I had considered contenders. He fumbled with his walky-talky to try to find someone else to help me, but spotted (who I found out later was the manager) watering plants in the vicinity. He asked her if she could help and she replied rudely with "WHAT?" as she clearly saw me (the customer) asking a question. He stammered nervously and she followed up with "What do you want?" I jumped in and asked my questions about which is best and she said, "They're all pretty much the same." I asked if any were better for our climate/environment and she said with an attitude, "We don't sell anything that doesn't grow around here." She then curtly turned away and went on with watering the plants. I did not feel copacetic with her "customer service," so I bought my tree and decided not to go back. I would rather go to an establishment with less selection, but better service. Also, the prices are on the higher side for some things, but reasonable for others, it just depends on what it is. Either way, Home Depot works for me from now on, and if they don't have what I want, I'll research somewhere other than Johnson's. It's a shame, too, because the place is like walking through a botanical garden, only the vibe given by the staff is that "it ain't big enough for the both of us!"

Johnson Garden Center -- nobody does it better…read more Their replacement 10 gallon Photinia is an inspiration to my OG hedge row. Beautiful quality, incredibly healthy, already nearly taller than the established shrubs, and very reasonably priced at $129. They helped load it, answered questions, and made the whole process easy. All I have left to do is widen the hole I already dug. You can see a dip in the existing row from an earlier Photinia replacement several years ago from Costco. Love Costco but sometimes you don't want to wait. Thanks Chris!
