So happy I decided to buy my flooring from this local Shop. Hannah is the best! She listened to everything I wanted, made suggestions, contacted sales reps, got me larger samples since I could not pick an entire house of flooring with a small sample, made the impossible possible and was just amazing!! I seriously didn't know customer service like hers still existed. When it was time for me to see the flooring I ultimately chose, she left work and drove to the warehouse nearby with me to show it to me. Dan came out to measure and provided some good input, was very friendly and helpful. They matched a lower price per sq ft and got me my 1500 sq feet of flooring before I needed it. Daniel and his team were absolutely amazing! We purchased specific flooring and they came out and installed the flooring without any issues quickly and efficiently. Very friendly, answered all of our questions and even after requesting multiple changes, they did it all with a smile. Very competitive quote. Daniel even noticed that after purchasing the flooring from Home Depot that we were given two different lots of the same product causing the flooring to not look quite the same. (Great eye on his part as we didn't even notice it). He saved us from a ton of headaches. Can't say enough good about this place. Recently moved to Morgan Hill and my wife found Floors Plus after getting a quote from our previous well known company. We were trying to find a specific model number from an outdated floor. So this project is in re-do process, so please stand by for an update. I would normally wait until something is done...but this started in May of 2022. I met with Dan and Hannah, who both appear to be super nice and amazing people. I think Hannah especially has great customer service. So we went ahead and decided to get flooring done through them for a 3400 sq foot house. They fit us in for our timeline before moving in, where then after we moved in we saw issues that revolve around leveling floors and poor workmanship in areas they didnt think we would see (under dishwasher, under built in cabinet drawers, etc). We have squeaking, popping, floating boards and areas needing caulking. I called Dan and had him walk through with "JV Flooring Install" who did the install. Not sure what the disconnect was but neither Dan nor JVs didn't really own the issue or actually say I was right in how I felt etc. Although they agreed to redo the areas I marked. It was weird. I am a manager and owning an issue and making an amends is typically how I remedy an issue. So a crew came in (Mind you I repainted my entire interior of my home) and it was a disaster trying to do this while we have all our furniture in. The worker Eddie said nothing was leveled. They simply put floor over old floor without self leveling. He showed me a leveler and called the initial installer who said he was directed by Dan to just throw it on top and not level. I have not heard back on Dan's side, as now Hannah is helping me, but I imagine someone made this call. I was very clear I wanted level floors (Plus who the heck wants new flooring with issues???). They came in to do the initial fixes with self leveling, but I ended up with a lot of damaged baseboards, my cabinets by the floor are damaged and have self leveling stuck to it. You can see uneven cuts and no caulking to even try to hide it. They focused on patching areas I FOUND, instead of just self leveling everything right. The kitchen area they pulled (to get to the two areas I flagged as squeaking/popping) is not level. So I am pretty frustrated. THE ENTIRE HOUSE HAS TO BE REDONE. WITH ALL OUR FURNITURE in. What is sad is there is no management going on here. If there was issues, as a manager, I would go verify work is done right...check in with the owner...apologize for the inconvenience...make sure the owner knows the damaged trim (if that was expected) would be fixed. I even have some drywall and door paint damage. There is no oversight going on for my project other than some logistics on who is coming. Typically you even offer a discount for the nightmare...but I havent even got to that because I Just want this over with. I hope this all gets fixed and I can end this story with a compliment. For reference, I have done a complete build of a home...a complete separate renovation, and on a third house new flooring as well. So three other complete flooring projects and have NEVER seen this happen to this magnitude. I didnt know I had to tell them what needed to be done. Photos attached are only a few. I was looking for a small amount of carpet for a project I was working on. I called Floors Plus to see if they had remnants I could buy, and the gentleman who answered the phone truly went above and beyond. He thought they might have some in their warehouse (which is in a different location), went to the warehouse and brought the carpet back to their store for me to come get - in less than an hour I'd made the call, gotten a call back, and drove to the store where the very nice woman working at the front desk insisted on carrying the carpet out and loading it in my car for me. Dishonest? You decide I received an estimate and then I decided to change the color for an increase in material price. Which I was fine with until I got the second estimate with an extra 2000 snuck into the estimate with new line items. I called to enquire about these extra charges and the salesperson could not explain. Called the owner Dan Harris and he promised to itemize and get right back to me and it's been 6 days and no response. If there was an omission on the 1st estimate and it needed to be changed - I would have been fine with honesty... Not happy how they tried to tell me it was a material price when the math doesn't add up and they avoided itemizing. read more

I had a great initial experience with the owner Dan, sweet, friendly and extremely personable. He worked with our pricing, matched the price of a competitor and was fairly cool. The breakdown happened when I had to get my contractor to pick up the floor, the product was no where to be found. I called a bunch of times. His timing for his floor delivery was off by a few days, which delayed our project and his communication was lacking. I'm not pleased with delays but I'm reasonable, it was still during the COVID supply chain issues, just please communicate it with me. He then had my contractor running around to pick up the flooring, giving him the wrong time. My contractor waited around for a few hours. What was worst was that he told me that the floors I picked would have a squared-off stair finishing piece, so when I ordered I made sure to confirm it with him. He repeatedly said yes and ordered it. Guess what? They don't make it, it's only a rounded finish. Well, my contractor picked up what I ordered and installed it, thinking my order was based on my preference, why wouldn't it be. When I came home, I was upset because half of my stairs were done and it was the finishing piece I wanted. Once again, I wish Dan had let me know. Now the floors is nice, but I just wish he was more communicative with mishaps. I don't want to beat him up, he is a nice guy-ish. My husband was said I was too nice. He got into it with him and doesn't agree with my opinion. My mom is about to do her floors soon and now I'm a bit hesitant to go back to Floors Plus, the pricing is good, but the service and aftercare is lacking. read more

THIS TEAM WANTS YOU TO BE HAPPY! I'm really pleased with my experience with Floors Plus. I loved working with Lily, Dan and Edgar (not sure if I spelled them correctly). I went into the store and it's wall to wall selection (head spinning honestly)! Adam and Dan helped me choose from their selection. I was able to take a couple home and play on them a bit before my measure and purchase. My job was done in 2 stages but only because my carpet wasn't shipped in yet. They carpeted my entire upstairs by lunch and removed and upgraded base-boarding by 3 or 4 pm. The attention to detail upstairs was awesome. I didn't even think to do the closets. Well, they did. My job was 90 percent done in one day. We ran into delays...my husband broke out in rashes all over so we put a hold on the job. We thought we'd have to rip everything up and start again as he was allergic to the carpet (I now loved). Endless patience and understanding for Dan and his team. They were very kind and accepting of this, waiting for him to recover! Finally, we completed the job after doctor's visits AND...I didn't love the look of the carpet on the stairs. Again, endless patience, I picked a patterned carpet that was short and difficult. He sent another team of expert installers to look at my job. They reassured me that it was done properly and will last awhile (have a little one). I somehow do not believe Home Depot or Lowe's or Sear's would have done that....Also the price was EXCELLENT. I wanted to shop local and I'm so pleased I did. They wanted us to be happy they were a success. read more

Recently I had Floors Plus replace the floor covering in my downstairs/basement and they did a GREAT job. Project Manager Craig Johansen recommended using vinyl planking and it looks great. First the furniture was moved out and the 25 year old "Inexpensive" carpeting was removed. Then the crew had to level the slab which was no small chore. After installing the "lock together" planking sections the new base molding was put in. The crew was very professional, replaced the furniture and cleaned up after the job so there was nothing I needed to do except enjoy it. Yay! I have beautiful new floors thanks to Floors Plus.My friend had purchased a new home and needed new floors and shopped around for price and materials. Floors Plus had the right engineered hardwood that she was looking for and gave her the most competitive price. About a year later, found myself with a similar story. I wasn't in a rush to get new floors so the process from start to finish took several months for me. I went into Floors Plus one late Saturday afternoon and Katy greeted me promptly. I told her about my price range, lifestyle, type of home, and longevity in the home. She showed me around the small but VERY full showroom with different types of materials. I never felt like she was trying to upsell me but she did keep me informed about options on the higher and lower range. She is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about flooring product and installation process. Eventually, we ended up where we started with--Coretec, a luxury vinyl floating floor which is beautiful, durable, and moderately priced. She connected me with Craig, her sales rep/estimator. Craig was very accommodating with my schedule to do the estimate. He is also very meticulous, double and triple checking to ensure he didn't over or under order product. I went on to get estimates from other stores and it was really a toss up between Floors Plus and another local company in San Jose. Craig asked what he could do to win my business and he was willing to beat the other estimate. Before the install process, I had issues with getting my HOA to approve the installation which caused a delay but Craig and his installers were very accommodating and worked with me to get things done the following week and even came on two Saturdays. Craig worked hard to track down the installer license and insurance information so I could forward it onto my HOA. Jeremy and Enrique were my installers and they did a beautiful job. They are both very hard workers and almost never took breaks. They ate standing up and went right back to flooring! Jeremy takes his craft very seriously and created a custom moulding for my hallway and spent about 45 minutes shaving a single piece of moulding that was barely 3 ft long so that the moulding would rest properly on some uneven tiles. I'm not going to say the whole process was smooth sailing - there were a few small communication hiccups with getting a response back on some documentation and there's even a small section of flooring where I'm a bit annoyed but didn't realize it annoyed me until 3 days after completion (an aesthetic issue where there are 2 short planks that are placed next to one another, have the same pattern, and are at the same height which makes them look odd as they are not staggered and the same pattern.) I'm trying to learn to live with it but I know that Jeremy did a lot of staging with the other planks to ensure they were staggered and had alternating patterns. I'm not sure what happened there with my two planks and I never complained about it. These hiccups aren't enough for me to lower the rating for Floors Plus. If you are thinking about getting new floors, I think it is worth seeing their flooring options and getting an estimate. I really enjoy supporting local businesses that have great products, great people, and do fabulous work. read more

4 1/2 years ago the bamboo they put in looked great. Then the problems. Bowing, shrinking and pulling away from the baseboard. Been calling them and going in to have them come out and at least look and see what i'm Talking about. Finally I got them to make an appointment. After shopping for flooring at several large flooring stores we went to Floors Plus because of a recommendation and because they are local to Morgan Hill. They were great from the beginning. Unlike other stores, they were very knowledgeable about their products and recommended the one that would be best for our needs. The bid outlined every item and we were able to select items to either do ourselves, ( removing old baseboards, easy to do) or that we did not need. Saved us over $500. Their installers were great. neat, clean, efficient, and did all those little extras that make the completed job look great. Very careful attention to all details, the ones that make the job look great. They worked extra long one day so they could cut the time in our house by a day. We bought a house in February and the carpets needed to be replaced. Dan Harris was our salesman and let us take samples home and advised us what to look for. We opted for Royalty carpet as it was very soft and seemed to be high quality. Turns out we were wrong - the carpet had strange lines in it like the die had issues. Dan tried to fight for them to fix but they didn't. But he is a man of integrity so he at least tried to settle with us to "make it right". He and this company understand the concept of customer lifetime value and so we will recommend him and Floors Plus to anyone and everyone! read more

This is a couple years late--so much has been going on for us--but I promised to write a review. Floors Plus installed our floor in a large living/dining area in our home in 2016. We had a handscraped laminate and loved it. Craig Avila was our guy and was very enthusiastic, communicating with us promptly whenever we had questions and tried to explain everything so there would be no surprises or unreal expectations. Our subfloor was not level and they needed to level it with that leveling concrete stuff (which took time to dry). We were also getting windows replaced during this time. Joaquin and Chris were the installers and did a great job. They worked hard around our delays and any unexpected prep to get everything finished on time and were very careful. Everyone we worked with communicated well with us, which is very important to better control the stress and expense of renovation. We have since moved but if we need to have floor work done again, I will definitely go to Floors Plus first. read more

I had Floors Plus install some carpet in 2 bedrooms and greatroom/game room in the lower level. I then had them install tile in the lower laundry room and bathroom. After a year the carpet at the threshhold came loose on carpet they installed. I had them come back to repair. The person they sent stated it was not properly attached when it was installed. They still charged me a service call. This should have been covered under workman ship warranty since it was not properly tacked down. read more

Noted some items that would need special attention, like the height of the plinth blocks and baseboards and made sure he had a solution for that which looked great in the end.
