Granite Outlet is a gem! We were looking for two remnants for our remodel project and they had a wide selection. The owners were kind, informative and patient...spending considerable time with us on 3 separate visits helping us choose the best pieces. Prices were extremely reasonable - a fraction of what we were being quoted in other stores. In addition to remnants, they have full slabs, various brands of pavers and outdoor hardscape and a well-appointed showroom with interior tile and trim pieces. Highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again for our next project. read more

Long overdue review. I needed a source for some granite or quartz for matching powder rooms, and was pleased to see Granite Outlet right in our neighborhood! Went in and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and the helpful service. In my case, I worked with the owner to get something on hand, so the delivery would be quicker, and ended up with Quartz. The installers had to deal with my unusual requests to make two pedestals for paper hand towels to be stacked on, out of small, cut slabs. Also, a hole in each vanity, located just so, like at a fine restaurant, to discard the paper towel in, because there was a trash can underneath. I had very specific instructions and they dealt with the custom order. read more

Huge selection of stone, great prices, extremely responsive and helpful staff. They installed my quartz countertops as well and did an excellent job. Fast turnaround, less than two days to schedule and one day to install. My only complaint isn't their fault; I wasn't able to see the quartz slab prior to purchase. Policy of the manufacturer as it is special order. Almost perfect, literally only 1 tiny flaw less than 1 sq mm, if that, out of nearly 60 sq ft. I'm sure that had I mentioned it, which I did not, Ila would have fixed or replaced it without hesitation. I chose mother of pearl quartz and couldn't be happier. read more

Really good prices on granite and quartz slabs. They had a large enough slab that we were able to complete our kitchen project with just one quartzite slab. read more

Today I purchased a prefab slab of quartz for my bathroom vanity top. The selection of flooring, tile, slabs for both bathroom and kitchen are amazing! So many different options, along with many options within the same color or stone type families. The owners are very nice and have answers to all your questions. They may even know a fabricator that can help with your cutting! Prices are comparable to what you would pay anywhere else, so I suggest giving Granite Outlet a look and they may have just what you need! read more

Home renovation is so overwhelming and having the best team makes the difference. I was so impressed with Granite Outlet and the amazing selections they have. The owners are amazing (and their grandchildren are adorable)!! Ila was so helpful, kind, and made the entire process painless. I found the most beautiful slab of quartz for our new kitchen countertop. Their fabrication prices are also AMAZING! Let me start by saying that Harish is one the nicest people in the Granite business. His kindness and patience is well known and comes highly recommended by others. We bought two slabs of white ice granite and had the offset ogee edge done. The price was very competitive compared to other places. At the time we purchased there was only 1 slab, but Harish said there was more on order and should be arriving in about 1 week. We put a very small deposit down to hold the slabs and when they came in he called us right away and let us pick which slabs we wanted. He even moved them so we can look at each one. We ended up going with sequential numbered slabs from the same shipment. Again Harish was very patient when we were looking at the slabs and we did not feel rushed at all. We decided to use the in house installer Manuel, who is also a very nice guy. If he was going to be late he would call and let us know. Manuel was upfront about what he was able to do and what he can not do(such as plumbing). We let him know up front that we wanted all pieces to have NO Seams(One of our countertops was 10 ft long), and he let us know that we have to find certain dimension slabs to make that happen. The demo process took a few hours, there was some slight mishaps from demo debris (small scratches) but nothing major that could not be fixed. A few days later after the Demo was template time and once the templates are made no more changes. We changed our sink to a farmhouse apron sink and extended our island for a breakfast bar area(had to do the Corbels on my end) and it came out beautiful. Manuel was very patient with the changes we made although it was after the initial visit but before template. After template it took a few days to cut the slabs and they were installed in about 6 hours. Some cutting is done onsite and drilling for faucets is done on site, so it can get very dusty. Total down time was about One and a half weeks. I did all the plumbing and all the faucet fixtures myself, as Manuel was upfront about what he could not do. Overall we are very happy with the end result. What else can I say, Get quotes from other places then go to Granite outlet. Also I was very involved in the demo, installation, and clean up process. read more

We had a smooth experience and a beautiful outcome with Granite Outlet. We changed our 22 year old granite tile countertops and installed a new slab countertops. Ila was very helpful and the process went exactly as she described beforehand. Comparing costs to Home Depot, we saved money but the real benefit was how fast the work could be done. I felt much better about dealing with an owner rather than a big box store. read more

I chose a white piece of granite for my bathroom vanity. The installer put in an UGLY brown piece in with a big stipe down the slab. When I presented the picture to the owner she said it was the same. When I went to school brown and white were different colors. She said for a few hundred dollars I could pick out another piece. At this point I couldn't trust them to put in another piece and I wouldn't pay for their mistake. I was told the correct piece was given to the installer, but what did he do with that piece? read more

I walked in off the street to check this place out, having driven by it so many times. We were looking for soapstone, which is not that common. Ila located slabs in the East Bay and So. Cal., and actually had slabs shipped from the East Bay so we could check them out. We chose the one we liked, and she got a fabrication and installation bid that was better than a competing one from a less expensive area. George did the install and it is beautiful work - he was great to work with too. I highly recommend Granite Outlet! read more

I will be back again! The granite outlet was the cheapest and fastest at getting my kitchen countertops and tile installed. They have a big selection of granite, Quartz, and tile. I was working within a budget and Felipe and Ethel were so helpful and kind throughout the entire process. It went very smoothly. Manuel Cazas was recommended to us from The Granite Outlet for our Quartz, and he installed our countertops and glass tile backsplash all in one day. It turned out beautiful. I can't say enough about him and his crew. He made sure the job was fully complete and everything was clean and perfect. He is a very friendly man. I will use him for all my future remodels again! For such a small, low-overhead shop they have a tremendous selection of granite slabs, pre-fab counters, stone/ceramic/porcelain tiles, mosaic backsplashes, stone veneers, and outdoor fixtures. Their prices are very reasonable and their service has proven dependable. Purchased a pre-fab granite counter for our laundry room at 1/4 what we were quoted at Home Depot (Note that HD was up-charging for their min-order which resulted in an absurd price on qty 1 counter top). Granite Outlet's recommended installer, Jorge, delivered and installed the next day, very smooth transaction. More recently, purchased 1100 sq ft of porcelain tile. Was the most beautiful tile we found anywhere (after an exhaustive search), and the price was comfortably under HD/Lowes similar quality. It was a special order item and we were quoted 2 wks for delivery. The tile came in earlier than quoted but unfortunately their supplier shorted the shipment by 32 sq ft. We thought we could get by, and were offered a refund for the shortage, but ultimately we needed those tiles. They were able to get them for us within a few days which kept my tile contractor on schedule. I suspect they might have had them air shipped, but regardless was very pleased with their responsiveness to the situation. Highly recommend. read more

Did several jobs with them and as usual Murphy is alive and well, 1 Slab broke right in front of the home owner when installing. Last slab too, but I assured the owner they would fix it and it would be stronger than original. They repaired it right and owner was happy, looked but could not find the crack. Sink placement was a little off and they also make the necessary adjustment. Another job, the kitchen came out beautiful but the fireplace was off. They returned the next day with the altered full piece granite front, installed, and it was just perfect. The owner was very happy. We have more remodeling for this client on the books now. We will continue to use their fab and installation crews. And that is why you use a General Contractor who cares and know their stuff. This review took some time to write as I could blather on on about how good my experience was with Ila and Harish. I am a gilroy local for 20 years and own a commercial painting company. I qualify this so understand my opinion is based both a contractor and homeowner. Pricing: I solicited pricing from 5 different companies in the South Bay. After confirming Granite Outlet as more then competitive I contacted friends at both union and non union tile and granite companies. They all said the same thing. If they can do it for that price use them. Ila is wicked fast returning pricing and does a great job with follow up. If you think she is calling to close the deal, think again. She is just following up to make sure she is on top of what you might be forgetting about during this stressful time. Selection: While they do effort to have a good selection of granite on site you can always go to MSI in Hayward which is one of there distributors which has football fields of granite to choose from. Installation: Jorge and crew are top notch. Their workmanship and eye for detail rivals any job site I have been on, which includes locations such as Apple and Skywalker Ranch. They are quick, clean, and thorough. They are so good we added granite we weren't planning on doing originally. Jorge is also a phenomenal sounding board when it comes to granite accent pieces. It becomes really easy to leave a piece out or add to much. Whether you choose to heed his suggestions or not I would suggest soliciting his advice when he out there. The minor adjustments he suggested regarding shelving, window sills, and shower accents made all the difference. There is not enough good to be said about Ila and Harish. They manage to leave with the feeling that you are working with friends and not a contractor. No question goes unanswered, The additional work we requested required yet another slab to complete. For no reason other then good will they sold it to us for even cheaper then their already low price. Our scope was a complete kitchen, master bath, guest bath, powder room, laundry room, and dining area as far as granite goes. due to a delay on our cabinet delivery schedule we are delayed 4 weeks. Even with this delay the only they had to say was let us know when your ready. As both a contractor and homeowner I can only tell you that you cannot go wrong having them on your side when tile and granite are part of the scope of work you need done. You have a customer for life Ila and Harish. read more

I just can't say enough about this place. I went to Lowes to look at getting granite for my kitchen countertops, and it would have cost over $7,000.00 not installed. I would have to drive all the way up to Oakland to look at the selection. It would have been a real long process. My sister found this granite place basically down the street from where I live. I didn't even know it was there! I went to another place that we found in Gilroy as well, and their slabs of granite were $7,000.00 and up. When I got to Granite outlet they had a nice selection. The slabs weren't as big as the other place, so I had to get three of them. After I made the purchase, they had installed within 3 days. I couldn't believe it!!!! Rodolfo -I hope I'm spelling his name correctly- was amazing. He and his workers did an excellent job. I had a separate counter that they even made another piece, so I kept it too. All of it was cheaper than going through any other place, and the guy who came and cleaned and sealed it, put a seal on it that last for 10-15 years, for only $200.00. I can't be more pleased with their work and service! They owners are very nice people too! Thank you so much, Granite Outlet. My kitchen looks magnificent! I took pictures, but I guess I can't post them here. Too bad I can't, but I added to their photos. I forgot to mention, they did our fireplace too, it's beautiful now! read more

As they say "drive a little, save a lot". This certainly holds true for Granite Outlet. They have a wonderful selection of mid range granite, quartz and marble. They really don't have super high end products. All their prices are great. What would have cost me $2,000 at another granite store only cost me $800 at Granite Outlet. And it's beautiful. Just what I was looking for.The staff is super nice to work with and the fabricator, Manuel, that works with them is wonderful. He did an amazing job in only a week. They are located in Gilroy but they service a wide area. My job was in Monterey. Do yourself a favor and save time by going to Granite Outlet first when you need countertop products. read more

They have the same stone slabs (or can order it) that almost every other granite seller in the Silicon Valley has, and they do it at lower prices. Good selection, nice people. The big kicker? Fabrication and installation costs were bundled as one, resulting in labor being HALF OF WHAT IT WAS IN SAN JOSE! They have tile, stone, you name it. We purchased two full slabs of beautiful stone, had the demolition, installation, and fabrication all done (Thanks Jorge) and it turned out beautifully. Saved us THOUSANDS by going here. Harish (owner) is awesomely patient btw. Big picture is that if you buy your stone someplace else, you're throwing money in the toilet. read more

I got quotes from lowes and Home Depot. To put granite in my kitchen only would have been $4800. Granite outlet put granite in my kitchen and two bathrooms for the same cost. They also added four under mount sinks to the bathrooms. My husband did the demo, removing the builder grade white tile counters. That for sure saved on cost. Granite outlet also gave me the beveled edge on my counter for same cost. At the box stores it's an additional charge per linear feet.. I picked green safari granite and needed two slabs. Manuel from Caza customs did the template and fabrication work. He is an awesome polite guy. Very easy going. He came in and did the template for my kitchen and one bath. In a week the counters were ready for install. Manuel came back with a crew of three guys. His crew was really friendly and were even respectable of my young children I have. Harish from granite outlet is also just as friendly and acomindating. If I need anything else I would go back to granite outlet for flooring or tile. Demo always sucks so just be prepared to not have a kitchen for a while. My oven and backyard bqq saved me. I did keep one bathroom running. I'm waiting on demo and install in my other bathroom. But I have no worries. I'm enjoying my beautiful kitchen thanks to granite outlet and Manuel. read more

Ila, Harrish, and Jorge were such a pleasure to work with. We had been searching for months for a countertop for our kitchen and had spent hours and hours looking at samples and driving from place to place. I happened to drive past Granite Outlet one day on a way to my son's basketball game and took my partner back the next weekend (we don't live in Gilroy). Based on our experiences elsewhere, we didn't have much optimism, but that sure changed once we started talking to these folks. They are so straightforward, helpful, and really kind. All that wouldn't matter, however, if they weren't good at what they do. After months of frustration dealing with various builders and such, it was almost shocking to see a price quote turn up in my inbox only a few hours after I asked for it. And then to have Jorge come out so quickly to the house and measure, and then install the new countertop, well, I was amazed. The whole process, from my initial contact with Harrish, to the finished and installed piece, took about a week. A week! And it looks fabulous. Jorge and his crew were fast and so thorough. The best part, though, is that our quartz countertop is beautiful and was quite a bit cheaper than other places we looked. Can't say enough about this business and we will defiantly use them again. read more

I bought a fixer home in Gilroy and desperately needed to finish the kitchen. After my contractor skipped out on me, I was stuck with a half built kitchen with no counters. I looked at a lot of granite shops in San Jose, but the problem is most just sell granite and don't install. Also, many of these shops for whatever reason are cold and often arrogant because they only want to deal with contractors. Lowe's? Yes, I went there, and after almost 2 months of back and forth, many calls, they quoted me $8800 (no thanks). I happened to Yelp, granite in Gilroy and was lucky to find the Granite Outlet in Gilroy. They have an excellent selection of granite at better prices than San Jose, way better than Lowe's, and amazingly, they install. I was skeptical given my poor experience with contractors. The Granite Outlet folks were incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and offered a number of options. I chose two slabs for my counter and peninsula on a Friday. The crew came to measure Monday morning thereafter, and installed it on Friday that same week, in a morning. It was unbelievable. The quality of the installation was superb. The material matched the cabinets perfect. They notched complex geometry, mounted the sink, drilled the holes for the faucet, installed the counters, peninsula, and installed a 6" back splash throughout, complete with seam sealing, and caulking. You can't even see the seams. I chose a pencil edge and it looked super, they buffed out all seams and edges. To be honest I had no idea a bad situation could turn out this good, but Granite Outlet did it with amazing quality and customer service. They really took care of me and saved the kitchen. I still really can't believe it, I really was just kind of speechless when the install was done. Out of courtesy, I can't post the price, but it was better than San Jose, and 1000's less than Lowe's and they can install. Lowe's would have taken 3 months from start to finish. Granite Outlet did it in a week. If you live in this area, Granite Outlet is really the only choice. And, they install. Amazing! I'd give 100 stars if I could. Thank you, Ila, George, and everyone at Granite Outlet. You were really a pleasure to work with and a gift to find. read more

I'm very pleased with their work. The installer(Adolfo) is very professional and cares about his work, he went above and beyond to meet and exceed my expectations, and was happy to answer all of my texts and questions. What a great experience we had buying granite for our home. Ila couldn't have been nicer or more professional and is extremely knowledgeable. She took time with us and walked the lot helping us pick out a slab - no rush, no pressure. The entire transaction went very smoothly and we even purchased a new stainless steel sink along with the granite at a great price. We did our own demo and prepared the counters with plywood. The installers (George and crew) came on July 5, made the template and on Friday July 7 it was installed! Couldn't believe how fast and painless the process went. George was friendly and knows his trade. We had one minor issue and George was back the very next day (on Saturday) and took care of it. We would recommend Granite Outlet to anyone who is in the market for granite. The people, service and pricing are far superior to the other places we shopped. Thank you Ila! Tom and Mary read more

I bought one of their "prefab" counters for a bathroom remodel. They had a really nice variety of them to choose from - not the usual granite you see everywhere. They were nice to work with, and flexible after I changed my mind on which stone I wanted to use (before final fab started). I was amazed at the selection of slabs they have on-site too. The prices were reasonable. They have their own fabricators, which makes it very convenient. I plan to use them for another project soon. read more

My husband and I needed to replace our undermount sink due to rust, and with that, the countertops. We explored getting pre-fab pieces, but after realizing one peninsula was not a standard size and with installation would cost about the same anyway, we heard from a friend to check out the Granite Outlet. We're so happy we did, because we had a GREAT experience. Harish was extremely patient with me as we looked at all the beautiful granite slabs they had. After settling on White Ice, we got our kitchen measured and realized we needed 1.5 slabs! This made us really sad since we were trying to only buy the "orphan" piece. Harish and Eila, knowing that we only needed one piece and a bit, worked with their contractors to find a piece from the same batch. Luckily, Tiburon aka Manuel Cazas had the exact piece we needed. He was able to cut the piece within 3 days and came out to our house on Saturday for the installation. We ran into an issue when he installed the larger peninsula, it wasn't level since the plywood from our previous countertop wasn't level. Tiburon, Jesus, and Juan worked super hard by shimming it up (after of course telling me about it) and making it perfectly level with the rest of the countertop. They helped us mount the sink (it's a HUGE, heavy sink) and even helped me move the cooktop into place. Tiburon was really patient with me as I asked him a ton of questions! I highly recommend Granite Outlet. They are so super friendly and very professional; we had just about the greatest experience with them! read more

Even after looking through the very large inventory at Granite Outlet, I couldn't find the exactly right piece for my kitchen remodel. So Hamish arranged for me to go to the granite wholesaler in Hayward, where I found three slabs of an absolutely wonderful quartzite. They recommended the installer Jorge (George) and he was exceptional. He measured very closely and I was able to do everything I wanted with 2 slabs, making the overall purchase less expensive. He took great care and did little touches that I would never have thought of. The entire experience was great and my kitchen looks incredible. read more

Good store to buy material, but their installer Manuel Cazas was a nightmare to deal with. He is a young guy and I think is preoccupied with things than his work. He talked up his work a lot, and then when it came time to install they ruined one piece by making a bad cut and the one they did install contacted my drawers so they would not open. this meant that the material we loved and picked out was ruined :(. I should also mention that they guy shows up late habitually. I spent over 6 hours of my life waiting for him to show up. He came by and humbled himself so I decided to try him again, since he is a young guy starting out and we all make mistakes. He came back with new material and this time instead of having zero seams, i had two a fact that he was deceptive about. Luckily they were done the outsourced shop and not by him so they turned out nicely and almost unnoticeable. He finally finished the install and my wife and I were having a kid so I did not want to mess with it any more, so I paid and sent him on his way. A few days later I put a long level on it and checked it for level and squareness. Overall the shop he uses to fabricate does a good job, but the skill work that he is required to do onsite gets and D. A seam is 'hidden' near the sink, but the sink makes it lift up a little meaning there is slight peak where the material comes together. He should have shimmed it up better to make it continuous and monolithic. Bottom line is that this guy rushes to get it done so he can get paid or go home and hang with friends. He is not attentive to detail or getting the job done to perfection. Wait for an installer that has a backlog as their is a reason this guy was so available. He rushed and his work is junk. He will probably get better when he is older. He also did not caulk the back of the stone against the wall as he said the backsplash will cover it. True the backsplash will cover it, but that does not mean I want water or other liquid leaking back there... lazy... read more
