If I could give these guys 10 stars I would cause they more than deserve it!! Absolutely Amazing work & finished everything the day I called! We are renting and took on the DYI project of putting down pergo floors in the living room and tiles in the bathroom. After a series of unfortunate events & the ceiling coming down we are now 3 days from moving with the toilets in the bathtubs with no tiles down. I told my husband I would figure it out and when he went to work today I researched local companies then found a yelp review for Tile Plus and someone in my situation. I read all the reviews on Yelp and decided on Tile Plus, and I'm SO glad I did. The only negative reviews on here didn't even get tile work done! This may be a bit long-winded, but here goes: I had 2 bathrooms that I needed to get done, and also in a certain timeframe. I am also living in the house while the bathrooms are being done... so that can also be tricky. The day that I called Tile Plus, I already had Ariel at my house measuring and putting together my quote ( I received it the same day!) which I found to be outstanding. My father is a contractor, and thus I have learned how to spot small, minor details that most people miss. Throughout the entire process, Fredy, David, and their master Tilers Caesar and Lucio were fantastic. They were very patient with me while I asked a million questions and pointed things out during the production of the work. Not once did they get annoyed with me or roll their eyes at my questions, they gave their opinions but were always clear that the decisions were mine to make. They communicated with me every step of the way, were always on time, and worked diligently throughout the job. I can't say enough about the quality of their work! After finishing the guest bathroom, and moving to the Master, I noticed a few tiny holes in one of the grout joints in the Guest Bathroom... they fixed it that same day. I expressed concern about being able to get the vanity tops done on time, and with one phone call they had the guy out measuring and templating my counter tops. (this isn't even their company making the counter tops) They had my bathrooms, and additionally my laundry room finished in plenty of time for my deadline. I should have submitted this rave review a while ago, but better late than never. Tile Plus did amazing work on my two bathroom remodels! I was having the worst experience with my general contractor but luckily my GC contracted David and his team at Tile Plus to do the tile work. I picked out really beautiful Carrara marble and I was really worried about how the tile would look because of the terrible experience with my GC. However when I came home for the first time after the tile was done in the first bathroom, IT LOOKED PERFECT! They cut the tiles to fit perfectly. They even custom made shelves out of my tiles for my recessed wall unit. Not only that, in the master bathroom they suggested that I get a large piece of marble for the top. I said it would be great, but I didn't know where to get a piece that size. The next evening, they had installed a beautiful piece of marble which they recovered from their scrap pile from another job. Bottom line, these guys went above and beyond and I couldn't recommend them more. Amazing work by the entire Tile Plus team. I had to have my tile/bath walls redone because of a water leak, so I called many contractors but Tile Plus came out quickly and gave a very reasonable quote! In general they were good to work with. They helped me to select the grout, and I really, really love the end result. The shower looks gorgeous. They came on time and were professional. The only problem I had was that when hanging the shower doors, water came out from the shower and made a giant puddle on the floor. Of course this would ruin my marble in time if it was not mopped up, and they came out several times to fix it. They were unable to completely fix it, and so my mother in law came over with her sealant gun and fixed it. Now there is no leak, anymore. It needed to be sealed more to prevent the water from leaking. Other than the door problem, everything was great. read more

Ernie at Tile Plus was recommended by our contractor and he was very easy to work with. We changed our design after Ernie had quoted the job and although the final design required lots more cuts, Ernie did the job for his original quote. My only criticism was that the tile setters weren't a little more careful with our layout. Some grout lines are a little bigger then others but over all we get lots of compliments. Sooo disappointed - what a total cluster**** this experience was. After reading all the great Yelp reviews I called these guys to come out and give me a quote to replace my master bath floor with marble tiles. It took me about a week to actually connect with Ariel, but once I did he came and was very quick & efficient taking the measurements, and promised to send me a quote via email. A few days later I call to ask where's the quote, and am told they already emailed it. Apparently they took down my email wrong, so no biggie I give them the correct email and voila! I get somebody else's quote for a completely different project. So I call back to explain they sent me the wrong quote, and get into an argument with a guy (the owner?) about whether this is the right quote or not. Boy, if we have this much trouble just getting to a quote, I hate to imagine what it would be like getting the project done. No thanks - I'm looking elsewhere :-/ read more

Tile Plus was our subcontractor for all the tile work in our whole house remodel. David and his crew are experienced and do good work. David's project manager Fredy was responsive and carefully went over tile layouts and grouts with me before starting installation. They did a very professional job with our tile, shower niches, and Schluter details. Hiccups are to be expected in any construction project, but a few things were frustrating: the original project manager who handled the planning and tile quantities left without any warning; I can understand that being unexpected and frustrating for the business owners as well! When it came time to install, the quantities which the original manager approved ended up being too small for many of our tile selections. David and Fredy handled it though, and graciously went to the trouble of ordering and picking up whatever additional tile was needed (our vendor Tileshop was excellent on this front as well)! Two other issues factor into my rating: First, because Tile Plus was so busy, our tile work had a very delayed start, which pushed back other dependent work (baseboard trim and paint, plumbing trim, and shower enclosures). Second, related to the earlier incident with the first project manager dropping the ball, Tile Plus' labor estimate increased significantly compared to the original approved estimate without explanation. Perhaps the first manager just didn't calculate things correctly, or perhaps the company's rates increased in general, but I think Tile Plus should have stood behind the estimate that we had approved and signed. If that would have been infeasible for the business, then I think I should have received an explanation for why the estimate changed and a goodwill cost adjustment (split the difference?) to acknowledge that they were changing the estimate that we had mutually agreed upon. In the end, we are happy with Tile Plus' installation work, and David and Teri make a great team, we just wish the estimate/contract and the scheduling had been handled better. read more

I just had my fireplace retiled by Tile Plus and I am 100% satisfied with the end result. It looks amazing. Working with Tile Plus was a great experience from start to finish. I have a hard time saying that about many contractors I have work with in the past. I picked out the tile, but they handled the ordering and picking up of all the materials. We had our tile in the bathtub/shower combo done by Tile Plus at the end of last year. They did a great job!! In order to reduce costs my husband and uncle did the the removal of the old tile and the installation of the cement board. However, we couldn't finish it by the time they were supposed to come to install the new tile. So I called and delayed them another week, Charlie was very understanding (I am sure it was annoying to them!). Charlie was our estimator and was so nice and explained things well to me. I usually do my own tile work but was pushed for time so decided to hire somebody to tile a bathroom for me. The guy who came to do the estimate was helpful and came out a couple times due to issues(not related to them). They showed up a lil early to do the tile work and finished it in a day. They then came back the next day to finish the grout work. I am pretty satisfied with their work. Only complaint i have is a couple of the harder cuts i wish were better cut/looking. I needed a small repair to a yellow travertine floor. The company got back to me right away, and while my tiny job was not really worth their time, they had an employee who was willing to do some free lance work on the weekend. I hired him and his coworker. They were on-time and had good communications with me. The work they did was flawless and the filler used was perfectly matched (not so easy with this color floor!). They found a couple of places where the grout needed repairing, and I was happy to add that job to the list - I hadn't even noticed, but they did, and it looked much better after it was done. I thought I'd have to steam clean the floor for some thick, odd stains that tenants left, but they did such a good job cleaning it, I didn't have to after all. Price was very fair and they worked with me on the schedule to come out two days after first contact, which was fabulous. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find someone to do the work in the time I had, but they saved the day. I would definitely use this business again!! read more

When I get a thought into my head over what to purchase or who will be doing the work, I will obsess over it for hours, day, months over the material and/or the service people we use. We live in a condo unit on the third floor which creates extra work for contractors having to go outside and up and down elevators. I was looking for the "perfect contractor". One who was reasonable and good quality work. I called and looked around for weeks and last but not least called Tile Plus. I spoke with Ariel who always is available by phone. He came over and gave me an estimate that was the most competitive. I mentioned to him how picky we were and he said that Freddy (installer) had been doing tile work for over 20 years and was one of the best in the industry. We wanted our hall bathroom floor replaced and back splash installed in our kitchen. We signed contract and work was begun exactly on time. Ariel always calls before hand to let you know the exact time that the installers would be there and they were always on time. None of taking off from work waiting around for contractors and work isn't started for 3 hours later because they were on another job or whatever excuse people have. Always, always punctual. Like I said we live on the third floor of a condo and never did Freddy complain of the extra work this created. The bathroom floor has some weird angles and my husband was amazed that they never said the tile they cut was good enough. No, not for Freddy. He is a perfectionist and up and down the elevators he went until the tile was cut just right. We love, love our bathroom floor and how great a job Freddy did. The back splash in the kitchen was done flawlessly as well. Whenever we would ask a question or make a suggestion of what we wanted; we were treated with such great respect. Tile Plus is easy to work with. They are punctual, very competent, easy to get a hold of; and we would use them again for any of our tile work. I called Tile Plus to get a bid on my kitchen back splash. Ernie called me back within a few minutes and made an appointment to come out that evening after work to take a look. He took measurements and then answered all of our questions as we discussed the details of the job. He had a crew come out to start the job the following Tuesday. They did a great job of preparing the job and protecting our new counters and appliances. The tile we chose is glass tile with a color backing. I've talked to several tile people who say it is much more difficult to cut that kind of tile without having it rip the backing. These guys did an amazing job of cutting and installing it. Before they cut a single tile they laid out every detail and discussed with us where they would place full tiles and where the cuts would be. When it came time to do the grout, they noticed that the epoxy grout we bought did not have the exact proportions of A and B material. We purchased the wrong bags. They called a foreman to come over and discuss it. He told them that rather than measure the proportions themselves they should go back to the supplier and get the proper packages so they would get the exact mixture. It is that kind of detail that impressed us. Before they cleaned up and left, two different foremen came by to inspect the work. We could not be more pleased with the quality of work. read more

From the estimate process to the installation of the tile, they were all exemplary. Ernie came right out to take a look at the project and a day later we had an estimate which was at a fair price. A few days later the installation took place on a Saturday morning. Freddy and a colleague showed up at 7:30 am precisely as agreed upon, they worked diligently all day and were done at 3 pm. I called Tile Plus for an estimate in August got the bid right away but didn't get on the schedule for over a month. When they came to do the job I was informed that the guy that gave me the first bid for them was no longer with the company and had given me a low bid but they would honor it. From then on I felt it was a rush to get the job done and collect the money. The young man that did the install worked his heart out but was not prepared for the special type of grout I purchased so... there was grout stuck everywhere because it dried much faster than he expected it to. Before he left I looked around and had to have him refill areas that weren't completely filled with grout. I thought I got them all before he left but as luck would have it the seam between the hardwood floor and the tile had none. I grouted it myself with the leftovers and it ended up working out but I still had grout stuck on much of the tile so it looks dirty. They seemed to have good intentions but I felt like my job was not a priority and I had to work at making sure it was done completely to the point that I had to insist they rehang the doors before they raced out of here. Doors that they took off! Thankfully, it only took 15 minutes. I figured out how to get the grout off the door jams but some of it is still stuck on the tile. Eventually I will get it off and all will be well. Bottom line check the work thoroughly and don't pay until you are completely satisfied. read more
