My husband and I came in here expecting to get ice cream but was actually thrilled and caught by big surprise that they had açaí! We were even happier because their açaí seems like it's Brazilian based which is even 10x better because Brazilian açaí is literally the best. The place is quite hidden because you see the ice cream shop sign and have to walk down this little path and the shop is on the right side! It's so cute, they're open pretty late and they also sell chocolates! Would definitely recommend the açaí to satisfy the craving but haven't tried the ice cream yet so we will be back for that! read more

delicious açaí bowls. i ordered a refreshing small cup topped with nutella, strawberries, banana and peanut crunchies. the only reason i hold back my five star rating is because of the dangerous outdoor seating situation. two benches. one working umbrella. we sat at a table with an umbrella that is nothing less than a fire hazard, tilting and shifting with the breeze. mini ants were annoying too...like grow up and be a real one. read more

Stopped in for afternoon ice cream. I had the peanut butter Oreo scoop with hot fudge on top and it was delectable! The ice cream isn't too sweet and it is a little firm, which is the way I prefer ice cream. The portion size was also good, I ordered a scoop in a cup, a small, and it was a sizable large scoop! My dad had the pistachio and the double chocolate scoops and they were delicious! Can't wait to go back! read more

Gone Chocolate has the best ice cream in Osterville (possibly even better than The Four Seas in Centerville). The candy is alright, but the reason I didn't give Gone Chocolate 5 stars was because of the owner, who really creeps customers out with her mannerisms. The crowd of people outside during the summer is always fun to be a part of and Arnold Schwarzenegger has even been here (there's a picture on the wall). read more

Love this business they are open year round and their ice cream is absolutely fantastic. I get the Chocolate Chip with Vanilla ice cream. The chocolate chips are dark delicious chocolate rectangles that are thin but spectacular. The vanilla is superb creamy and absolutely divine. Tiny shop, big selection. Of ice creams, anyway. Gone Chocolate is an Osterville institution. Not for legendary frozen desserts (premium but far from outstanding) or an outrageous service model (high school frosh clunkily scooping your goods), but for being really the only kids on the block dishing ice creams and froyo during the summer's steamiest months. Is the product good? Yes. My peach scoop sat fat on a sugar cone, with chunks of fleshy fruit and a fairly high melting point made for easy munching while strolling down Main St. Hand-packed pints (we got two - mocha chip and vanilla) were the far better value, running only 40¢ more than a large cone, and the creamy richness of the flavors shines through. There are also caramels, turtles and other candied delights in a case to the left, while beverages sit coolered to the right. There's nothing in the supper afterlife that doesn't exist here, and for that, our cooled tongues and sweat-free brows thank you, Gone Chocolate. read more

Ahh! So good! If you're looking for yummy homemade ice cream with a bang for your buck this place is it. A small is a giant sized/multiple scoop come or dish. Legit believe it's better than Four Seas a couple miles down the road. Creamy and delicious- cotton candy was amazing! Can't wait to go back! Tiny shop, big on personality and good crafted "beach town" chocolates and confections. I am not a fudge lover, but I really was into the texture and the "not sugary to kill", well balanced fudge. The boy walked out with peanut butter fudge, always a favorite. Delightful, and much better service than many of the snitty other establishments I visited during this trip. read more

I'm a big fan of truffles, and all I can say about the ones at Gone Chocolate in Osterville is, Wow. No, they aren't made on the premises, and yes, they are pretty expensive (about $2.00 a pop for some of them), but they are tremendous--about the best I've had anywhere--and well worth the money, in my opinion. read more

Been coming here for a few years since making this discovery and it really is a great place from the fudge to the candies and the awesome saltwater taffy which is a bit softer than other makes without that feeling your fillings are on barrowed time. Ice Cream also really good but prefer the raspberry yogurt with chocolate chips and did I mention how nice this place is inside & out?? Top notch, above and beyond service. The worker was incredibly accommodating. We wanted a root beer float split between our two little kids and she was more than willing to figure out how to make that happen. She was such a positive person with a strong desire to satisfy the customer. Instead of being "put out" she figured out a way to problem solve. And then when someone knocked my daughter's float over by accident, she quickly rectified the situation and even offered to buy her a new one ...on her! Who does that?! And the coffee Oreo ice cream is awesome. Such a strong coffee flavor and wonderful combo of flavors. Go here! You won't regret it. read more

I wouldn't even give this one star. I am absolutely appalled by the service at this establishment. This used to be the best ice cream shop on Cape Cod. Now it's run down, a mess, visibly not clean. The teenaged staff is annoyed that they have to help the customers, clearly forgetting they're at work. We ordered ice cream to go, and the girl helping informed us were out of covers for that size cup. We simply asked if she could put in a bigger cup with a cover. Visibly annoyed she scoffed and rolled her eyes. Never once said thank you after she swiped my card and slapped the iPad towards me expecting to select a tip for her. While the three other girls behind the counter sampling the food just stared at us. Clearly this place has gone down hill since the old management/owner was involved. Yes, you blink and will miss it. You have to know what you are looking for and where to look as it is offset from the main street shops. I like this slightly better than the more famous Four Seas. The wait is just as long, but maybe it was my choice in ice cream. The pistachio at Gone Chocolate is really good. The candy and chocolate look good, but everyone is there for the ice cream. read more
