    Gomez turtle with Chicken

I used to live in Cincy, now in Cleveland and I dream of this place its so good! Every time I am back in Cincy I try to make Gomez a stop! This is truly a gem in Walnut Hills, and if you were to drive by it you wouldn't think much, as it is a small place, but once you realize how delicious this place is, one look and you'll be craving a turtle for weeks! Since this place is so small, it gets busy fast and it is really hard to find a place to sit and eat as it is on a first come, first serve basis. You order at the front and wait for your food to be ready. If there is a table open, RUN to it! I ordered the Southwest style turtle with barbacoa and my friend ordered the Gomez style turtle with chicken. Both had amazing flavor to them, but both so different at the same time! The sauce was sooooooo yummy, it brings the whole dish together! We also got a side of their new Elote dip, which (by no surprise) is also delicious!! It is a lot of food so you can either eat it all at once, or save the other half for later. I can't control myself around yummy food, so we did in fact eat every crumb!! I definitely recommend giving this place a try! I truly believe no matter what you order here, it will be delicious and it will not disappoint! I can't wait to drive 4 hours to come get a turtle again!!

I decided to visit this restaurant with some friends for the first time. This restaurant is small and quaint. The person who took my order was pleasant, and the restaurant was clean. There were 4 of us, and the wait was short. The Peach Margarita was good. The Turtle (sans onions), which was the special currently - was really good. It was a fried burrito folded to look like a turtle shell. The ingredients were fresh and hot, and the steak well seasoned. I had a good experience and look forward to coming to this restaurant again.

Gomez is a lovely joint. We ordered a carnitas turtle and a Gomez chicken bowl - Baja style. We also tried the new elotes dip. First, the technique is there. Everything was cooked well. For the price though I expect more. 1. Better than bag chips 2. More flavor, everything was mild and grew less interesting with each bite 3. The cheese game is disappointing. The Baja bowl has a lot of potential. Dumping shredded Mexican mix cheese in it downgrades the whole dish. Gomez you're almost there. The elotes dip was the best part. More flavor please.

Small little establishment serving Tex Mex style fare including tacos, burritos, and a familiar Taco Bell-esque favorite. What is Gomez's claim to fame, The turtle is everything you wanted in a Crunchwrap supreme dialed up to 11. You can customize it with various meats and heat styles. I went with the Diablo carnitas turtle, and boy was it delicious! So flavorful and so hot! Good choice for spice lords looking for a kick in the butt! We also got a side of chips and salsa verde, and it was fresh and tasty. Ambiance reminded me of an old pub or friendly bar. Service was decent and fast!

I had to check our Gomez as it was high on the food list and everyone mentions the turtles. It wasn't too busy when I arrived, so I had time to decide what kind of fillings I wanted. I did order a turtle, of course, with carnitas and once of the spicy sauces. It's a definitely a fast food vibe, where you order at the counter and seat yourself with no frills in between. I found a table while I waited. Once I got my order and dug in, man. It was delicious and very filling. I only ate half of it, so once I was ready to go I did have to go back to the counter to get a to go box.

I had heard a LOT about this place. I ordered three of the baha tacos which I was pleasantly surprise by having pineapple in them. It gave it a nice tropical feel and was tasty! My friend ordered one of their famous turtles which looked INCREDIBLE! Something I would definitely take a gluten ease pill and sacrifice the dairy for. I'll definitely be back to order that one. Great atmosphere. Not easy to find parking, but if you can, it's worth trying out their food!

This was another awesome place my cousins took me when I was visiting Cincinnati. We had just completed an Adventurous walk across the city and took in so many fun sites. We were craving Mexican so everyone recommended this location. I had a tasty house margarita that was very fresh and not made with that one mix that is chemically and hurts my stomach. To eat I had, what I'll call the ultimate crunch wrap supreme, I loved being able to try a version that was tad bigger and had fresh ingredients with just the right amount of spice. Awesome service and atmosphere! Can't wait to visit again.

This is a little gem in Walnut Hills is definitely worth a try. It's a different take on tacos. Two tacos were quite filling. You have to order at the counter and pickup when your number is ready. The patrons were a mix crowd. The have multiple seating areas, and it's easy to get your food to go.

I love stopping into Gomez for a turtle when we are in Cinci. We were driving through so had to stop! We split a turtle with barbacoa Gomez style. It was packed with flavor and the perfect size to share for a heavier snack (we missed lunch) they have many options, but their turtles do not disappoint!

Went to Gomez the first time the other day and took it home to eat. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Turtle Southwestern style. He enjoyed it and said that's one of his favorites. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I ordered the chicken turtle Gomez style. The Gomez style includes rice, black beans, crema, corn salsa, Gomez salsa, lettuce and cheese. You can pick your protein. I LOVED the marinade on the chicken! It truly is a glorified crunch wrap supreme that you could get from Taco Bell. The only difference is you can taste the freshness of the wrap and the quality is fantastic. Would highly recommend coming to Gomez if you are craving some great Americanized Mexican food! I'm looking forward trying the other options Gomez has to offer!

I heard so much about Gomez and I finally made it there. I was nearby and I was starving so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and it wasn't too busy, i wasn't sure how it worked, but we order at the counter and then bring you the food. With this type of service you already you it won't be the best service. I felt rush to order so I got 2 chicken plane Jane tacos, chips and salsa verde and a pumpkin beer. Honestly, the best part about this meal was the beer and the salsa (keep in mind is tasty but not spicy at all). The tacos were okay nothing really stood out for me and my total was 30 dollars, I usually never talk about price but definitely way too high for 2 chicken tacos and a beer. I don't plan on going back.

There was a DJ & a dance floor, but very few people were dancing, which was disappointing. The place itself was cool with colorful lights & fun graffiti-like walls, but the aesthetic was let down by the lack of people. We enjoyed the free popcorn & I really liked my drink, the downside up, although I realize it's probably too sweet for most. Unfortunately, the cocktail & popcorn didn't make up for the dead atmosphere & we left pretty quickly. I would be interested in going again & seeing what it would be like when it's lively; I imagine it would be a fun spot when the dance floor is full!

It was a nice night so we took advantage of being able to sit outside. I love all the random art and set up of the back. To drink I had the chunker, which was gin in a San Pelegríno it was a very refreshing drink! Deceptively doesn't taste like alcohol. I noticed some people with white claws and little airplane bottles so naturally I have to have a strong claw as well. On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.
