I am writing this review regarding the treatment my mother and I received from an R&R Towing driver…read moreafter our Dodge Ram 350 camper van broke down in Lynnwood on 8-17-2026 We were stranded and needed a tow to a local repair shop approximately 2.5 miles away. An R&R driver named Coda/Cota was dispatched to assist us. From the beginning, his demeanor was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told us that he had previously been called to tow our vehicle and had refused because of the generator and plumbing in the camper van. This statement was completely untrue. We do not live in the Lynnwood area, and this van has never previously been towed. We have no idea why he would make such a claim or treat us as though we were attempting to do something improper. He told us that he could not tow the vehicle with the flatbed truck he had brought. He took photographs of the van and told us that he would contact R&R and have a different truck sent to handle the tow. He then left. We never received another call from R&R. We were left stranded for approximately five hours before we finally contacted Dick's Towing. Their driver arrived within about an hour and successfully towed our camper van to the repair shop without the problems or accusations we had experienced with R&R. I find the entire experience extremely concerning. We were already in a stressful situation, stranded in an unfamiliar area, and simply needed assistance getting our disabled vehicle a short distance to a repair shop. Instead, we were treated rudely, accused--at least by implication--of having some sort of questionable vehicle or situation, and then effectively abandoned after being told another R&R truck would be sent. Why the tow could not be performed with the truck he was operating, and why no one from R&R ever followed up after he left is a mystery, but was probably because it was a AAA call for a short distance. Customers who are stranded and requesting roadside assistance should be treated with courtesy and professionalism.

Saturday, August 1, while driving on I-5 south near the Tulalip Outlets just off exit 200, it was…read morestop and go traffic on the highway. Cars had slowed to a crawl and I came to a complete stop just as cars in front of me were stopped due to the early afternoon weekend traffic jam. And as I was stopped a light green Prius had crashed into my car completely damaging my rear bumper and pushing my car into the car in front of me further damaging my front bumper and hood. The shocking part was the driver of the light green Prius did not stop to check to see if myself, my passengers, and the driver in front of me were OK. The woman driving the lime green Prius had left the scene and drove off without taking any accountability or responsibility for what had happened. It looked like she was distracted and on her phone during the accident. Luckily, none of my passengers were hurt or injured during the accident. And the woman driving a 2017 Lexus in front of me was not hurt either. Her car did not sustain any damages either, just my 2005 Nissan Maxima SE. I had called 911 to request assistance and seek advice from a state trooper on whether my car was safe to drive home. It was fortunate that I did, I was still shaken from what had happened and still in disbelief the women in the light green Prius had driven away making it a hit and run accident. Soon after speaking with the state trooper I had called several tow truck companies in the area. Richard's Towing was one of two who responded immediately. I called and left a voice mail message with my name number and details of the accident. Richard had called me back and was very professional. He asked me specific details, where I was located, where I would like my car to be dropped off, calculated the total distance between Tulalip and Bothell (25 miles) to provide an accurate estimate, and he also provided an eta when he was able to pick up my car. Richard provided clear and transparent pricing, professional service, and I was also able to ride along in his tow truck for the drop off. During the ride home, Richard was very personable and shared his knowledge and experience with similar accidents. The accident was a bit jarring and the conversation helped me calm my nerves and get my mind off losing my car or no longer having a reliable car to drive. Once we arrived at my home, Richard safely unloaded my car, accepted my payment via phone app. He was also able to provide and email me an invoice for the towing service so I could submit a copy to my insurance company. I highly recommend Richard's Towing. Richard earned my trust by providing clear and transparent communication. His pricing was fair and accurate based on the miles calculated and rate for the distance traveled. Richard was also very personable and showed much needed empathy and compassion after my accident. Luckily it was still daylight and we were able to comfortable hang out until the tow truck arrived (they made good time). The tow truck driver was incredibly helpful; before towing our car, he explored more than one reason the car might not be starting (trying to avoid a tow); he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He in fact correctly identified the problem within a couple of minutes (as we found out the next day from the mechanic). Once it was for sure that we could not get the car going, he obliged to tow the car to our chosen mechanic and once there, he even helped us park the car and fill out the overnight paperwork. Amazing service. The best I've ever had from a towing company. Highly recommend.

Hal answered his phone right away and was able to talk me through the issue I was having so he could pick me up quickly when he arrived 30 minutes later. I was surprised he made it to me so quickly because I called AAA, and they told me they would not be able to assist for 3 hours! Hal was calm, respectful, and all-around nice when he arrived. He helped diagnose my vehicle and even took it to the mechanic. I couldn't recommend Lynwood Towing and Hal more, and I hope Yelp figures out how to change the negative reviews going to the wrong company.

Unfortunately, the driver, who claimed to be the owner, was extremely rude. He insisted that the address given by USAA was incorrect, despite my clear note about being at the post office. Initially, I requested just a jump start, but after a helpful stranger at the post office tried to assist and it didn't work, I submitted a new request for a tow. The driver told me I needed to submit a new request, even though I had already done so. He had not even arrived at the location yet and said he was going to put GOA. Which means gone on arrival when I asked what he meant. He truly did not care about me my family. I had two crying kids in the freezing cold, and he showed no concern for our situation. He ended up hanging up on me, which left me feeling disgusted with the service. I have reported the entire incident to USAA, including the text messages
