I have not yet received a tow on the car in question, I am currently in the process of pre-planning for "worst case scenario" when we go to move our broke down POS car to our new apartment (just in case we can't get it started, it is a BMW after all...) Today, I made four phone calls to get quotes for towing it - three other local tow companies and these guys, Payton Towing. Out of respect for Payton, I will not be providing any details on my experience with the other three tow companies. I did want to put in a review for Payton, however, to let people know of my "less than ideal" experience trying to contact them today. The issue is that when I called during normal business hours for a quote, they did not pick up my call. I left a message, expecting a call back within 20 minutes or so. No call back, and more than an hour has passed. Again, this review is based entirely on the lack of a call back. If anyone does manage to get ahold of these guys, perhaps they can leave a better review letting others know of their actual service and prices, but I would say that I won't be calling them when (or if) I do need a tow, since I cannot rely on prompt service from this company based on my experience today. The gentleman who helped me out today, (I had called no notice) he came to me right away with no wait time. He was so patient, so kind and genuinely wanted to help me out of my crappy car situation. He even let me ride with him to the car place which was nice and saved me the expense of having to order an Uber. Instead of just pulling my car out of a terrible situation which would have done a ton of damage to my front bumper, he spent a half hour grabbing rocks off the beach to fill in the gap under my tire and then drove it out without having to tow me. I called John to find out about towing, and he suggested before I spend any money, I try to pump some gas up into the engine. I had a siphon on the boat already, so I sucked some fuel up, and the engine started on the second try!
