Coastal is a great source for SO MUCH. Heres what weve shopped there: Clothes Work shoes Dog accessories and self serve dog grooming Vet care Household and garden tools Grilling and BBQ IF coastal had groceries I literally wouldn't need to shop anywhere else. Its a big store but doesn't have a lot of sales coverage. Now, in my opinion, for MOST of Coastal niche market, there doesn't need to be a huge sales floor presence. You will need assistance for several back of the store items. Griils, fueled heaters, guns, and tools. So plan ahead by ordering online, or ask for help once you're in the building. Be patient the folks here really do try to help. On a recent visit, there side door was damaged. We went outside to look at garden clearance stuff, since nothing had been posted prohibiting going through, so we went out and the door locked behind us. Some customers were walking by and let us back in. We mentioned it to the cashier, and a floor manager over heard and authorized a discount on our purchase. Very unnecessary, but nevertheless appreciated. Besides great prices, and products the self serve dog washing facility is clean and simple and great if you have fur babies that would drown your home bathroom out trying to wash them at home. All in all, a wonderful place, and if you find yourself going there for a reason, you wont be disappointed.

Several White Leghorn chicks were actively pecking at and eating the vents of other chicks. Three were bleeding severely, and we immediately separated them while my mother ran to get help. Instead of responding with urgency, the employee who identified herself as Shawna became confrontational and accused my mother of being rude for the tone she used while trying to report an animal welfare emergency. When you're watching baby chicks being seriously injured, you expect staff to focus on helping the animals, not criticizing the customer asking for assistance. The store manager, Garrett, later spoke with us and acknowledged that they had more chicks than they were selling quickly. The enclosure we observed was overcrowded, contained mixed breeds, had no food available, and very little clean water. Those were the conditions we personally observed, recorded, and photographed. I reported the incident to the city, which informed me they would be monitoring the situation. I also spoke with the regional manager afterward. He apologized, asked for my mailing address, and said he would send gift cards as an apology for our experience. I provided my address, never received anything, and never heard back despite the promise. The gift cards aren't the reason for this review. The real issue is how the animals were being kept, the dismissive response when we asked for help, dishonesty, and the failure to follow through after acknowledging the situation.

My husband passed away in 2022, and can no longer book a single, even if they have open tee time, they just refuse to fill them. I live out of town and they tell me to drive in and see if they can accommodate me! Are you kidding? Last week, I golfed this year with my granddaughter and required a handicap flag due to a severely broken femur making walking extremely difficult for me especially on uneven ground. If you have any type of mobility problem, Tumwater valley is NOT ADA ACCESSIBLE with a cart. They purchased these carts and software that beep and then the cart comes to a complete stop if you get to close to where they think you should not be. No signs that indicate "NO CARTS BEYOND THIS POINT " like normal golf courses, which would give you some idea that your cart would quit. Then you have to reverse to get out of it and the direction to go is not always obvious. Very frustrating. I hit my ball on a par 3 and it only went about 50 yards on a 160 yard par 3. My ball landed on the opposite side of the cart path near the woods and I thought I could drive across the fairway to my ball since I was no way close to the green......No way, my cart was programmed not to go across any par 3s. It was extremely difficult for me to walk to my ball. For a City owned course not to be accessible, is I believe against the law. I called the office a couple times because my cart got stopped and was told that it was programmed for the easiest access, but still nowhere enough for a mobility disability. I have been golfing a very long time and I know not to drive on the green, but now, I sometimes I have to get to the back side of a green and the hilly part was very difficult. These carts explain the large number of walkers I saw on the course....more than I have ever seen in my life time of golfing at this course. It appears golfers would rather walk than deal with the annoyance of these carts. I will never play Tumwater valley again. They tried to bring me a different cart, but since there is apparently no way to turn the program off if you have a disability you just cannot get reasonably close to your ball in some instances. I would not encourage going to Tumwater Valley. Find a different course. Their no singles policy is also ridiculous. They can always book a twosome of threesome with a single like other courses.

I'm usually intimidated by specialized stores, especially when I'm new to something, but I was made to feel so welcome here. Kurt helped me get into my first pair of running shoes. He was patient and knowledgeable, no sales pressure at all, and offered a lot to think about when I was being indecisive. I had been wearing random athletic-esque shoes for my recreational jogging, and running shoes made all the difference! I was worried the shoes would have a higher retail markup because it's a smaller store but they were just at regular retail price. Yes, maybe I could have saved a few dollars using a coupon at rei or something, but I wouldn't have been able to run around the spacious interior and I wouldn't have felt comfortable spending over an hour trying on possibly every shoe they have in multiple sizes multiple times. That was more than worth the nominal savings to feel confident in my purchase. But even if I wasn't, they let you exchange used shoes within a month if they aren't working out for you. The other thing I appreciate most about them is how present they are in the local running community. They sponsor a run club and a training group that I joined and for the last race we ran, they sponsored free photo downloads from the race! During the training, we often met inside the store hours before they were open, which was so nice on cold mornings. I'm so happy there's a store in our area that's so supportive for long-time and beginner runners alike. Great place to get your first or hundredth pair of shoes.

We were immediately greeted by Maja (pronounced Maya) and she got us started with some scans of our feet in order to narrow down the selection to our optimal choices. My wife and I have peculiar feet sizes, and Maja made it feel easy. She kept getting us different colors, widths, etc and never once seemed overwhelmed or exhausted in the process. She laughed a lot and made us feel incredibly comfortable. Don't hesitate to pop in for new athletic shoes. Spending a little time to experience Maja's customer service and get settled into the absolutely correct shoe for your foot will be worth it!
