I must say this is a gorgeous track with top notch facilities. The course if tough but fair. The greens are absolute perfection. Fairways are manicured. I think having mandatory caddies really help with the upkeep. Our group's caddies were Keith and Eric. Each caddy manages 2 bags. I suppose you can get a caddy for yourself, but I haven't played in months. This was just a chance to hangout with friends that I haven't seen so my game was below average. We played from the middle tees which is 6,156 yards with a 71.0/138 rating/slope. Pretty respectable for member's tees! After the round we enjoyed a nice Riesling wine accompanied with cheese and various small bites. I recommend sitting outdoor so you can take in the spectacular view. Their locker room is top notch complete with showers, steam room, toiletries and friendly staff to clean your shoes. Pro Tip: * Come early and hit balls at their exceptional range * Their range balls are Pro V1s * Seniors can ride/walk as needed * Tip your caddy $130 * Tip your shoe cleaner * Bring some cash and take care of their great staff

I hosted numerous business meetings and events there as well as friend & family meals. The Staff go out of their way to make everyone feel special and every need attended to. The members are very friendly and welcoming. The grounds and buildings are kept in impeccable condition. I would highly recommend this Club which has so much to offer for those who maybe like me aren't golfers.

This is mainly about golf. The Valley of the Moon course (West) is in real good shape. They finally…read moreput an effort in getting the course back into it's old self. The Sugarloaf course (East/executive) course needs work. Rumor has it, they intend to work on it in the coming year. I sure hope so. The course is extremely challenging for a shorter course, but it's not fun playing in poor conditions (no sand in the bunkers for example). The new company in charge has done an admirable job. Prices are pretty much on par, maybe slightly less, than other courses in the area. The price of the range balls keeps going up though. Not sure why, maybe it due to the new mats they keep replacing. The food / drinks at the restaurant are outrageously priced. I sure hope the local residents get a discount, because I'm not sure how they can afford to go there on a regular basis...and you'd think they'd want that regular built in, community draw. The courses meander through the Oakmont community. Houses line course, and occasionally come into play if you're off your game. The scenery of Hood Mountain in the distance is very nice. There is usually a lot of deer and rabbits along the course. It breaks up a bad round when you see mom w/ a little bambi (or two) in tow. Both courses are worth playing. The longer, Valley of the Moon more-so now that it's looking and playing good. Don't let the shorter, executive fool you. That's an extremely tough course. There are two separate club houses for each course. They are a short driving distance away. The driving range is at the main course.

There's a lovely wall of windows are you enter the dining hall with a dance floor. Most everyone danced. It was super fun. There's a large outdoor space for seating; it looks like you'd need to call ahead. We were there 1/26/26, so perhaps it was just the winter set up. It was extremely difficult to find with a GPS. Even calling the club, the gal who answered couldn't help give directions. That was really frustrating.
