When that customer left they focused back on me like hawks waiting for their prey. Was planning to buy a new full set of XXIOs, but that experience convinced me to just buy it from the xxio website instead. This is what you get when the employees are also the owners - no corporate policies on customer treatment, no consequences on their predatory behavior. PGA Superstore and Golf Galaxy are not only cheaper, but they are angels compared to these hawks. It's laughable.

In my experience, the first bay has a lot of trouble reading club data even after applying the stickers to the face. As soon as I went down in loft from my wedges, that data was never picked up. In the third bay, however, it read that data around 80% of the time with stickers. The third bay is closer to the window, so I think the natural light helps the camera pick up the clubhead better. The second bay is the one that James has been using for club fitting and lessons. They use Trackman there. The 4th bay is also GC3 as well, but I haven't hit in that spot yet. Golf balls are tour balls, but are a little beat up. I suggest bringing in your own. The screen you hit into is very close to the mat, so expect golf balls to fly back and out into the shop regularly. James put down a pool noodle training aid behind my bay to help, but know it'll happen. The shop also has a short putting green with SAM Putt Lab to help you get fit. There's a small sitting area and some golf equipment as well. Definitely a place I will regularly visit when I can't get outside!

I brought a friend who's new to golf to try some irons. We were told to wait, and after about 10 minutes, an employee named Dan took us to a simulator. When my friend said he wanted to "hit balls," Dan immediately got condescending and reprimanded us, even though it was clear my friend was new and simply misspoke. Later, when I asked to try a couple clubs while my friend grabbed others, Dan asked if I planned to buy anything. I said possibly, depending on the data and pricing. He responded with a sarcastic comment implying I was just there to "bang balls," then walked off saying, "have fun banging balls." The entire interaction was unprofessional and left a really bad impression. Unfortunately, I won't be returning after this experience.

This was thanks to my fitter, pretty sure his name was Carl (sorry about the short term memory), who found a set that I hit consistently with my current swing. He also helped me greatly with my wedges. I even walked out with a putter with some more advice from my guy. The price of golf clubs is also gonna be "the price", no complaints there. From the start, the fitter took time to understand my current setup, typical ball flight, and what I was hoping to improve. Instead of rushing into swinging clubs, we talked through my strengths, weaknesses, and playing habits. The fitting itself was very detailed. Using launch monitor data, we tested several different club heads and shaft combinations. I was able to see real numbers like ball speed, spin rate, and launch angle. Doug explained everything clearly and adjusted clubs throughout the session so we could dial in the best combination. I am excited to get the new clubs out on the course and play!
