I started seeing her in my very early 20s when she worked at Bon Secours I followed her to TPMG. In the beginning, she was the best doctor. She asked a lot of questions, appeared to be attentive, showed she really cared about my health which is why I have continued to see her. As of the last two years since shes had her "own" practice there has some sort of a switch here. Shes "cold", shes rude, and when coming to be examined I was getting attitude and she wasnt really even examining me. I remember my ear was a problem she barely put the scope in my ear at all and said it was fine I go somewhere else and it was problem. Same with-other stuff she told me my health was fine but I see specialists and their wondering why my doctor didnt do this or that. When questioning it she still didnt have much response. I also inquired about a test result from hospital and she would not answer a simple question on the portal on what the test result that came back "negative" she actually ignored my one message I sent on it and said if I have questions on this said negative result, I had to make an appt. MAKE AN APPT TO GO OVER A NEGATIVE TEST RESULT? All I asked is what it meant? Im looking for a black doctor. Not sure if race is related to this but not coming back here. Wish I would've seen about Dr. Kumar. I also sent her a message about her not caring or responding and no response again. Usually a response same day. This was days ago. I would not recommend anyone is see her! Once you get in good with her for a little while you'll end up having to find a new doctor!

She used to be great, but perhaps she has gotten busy and lost her quality of care. It takes months and months to get an appointment and you cannot schedule with another doctor in the practice if you are in a jam. I went in on June 19 and today, July 5, I'm still chasing down numerous prescription REFILLS. In fact, none are at the pharmacy and someone that just looked at my chart, only sees 1. I was told to arrive 20 minutes early and then waited almost 55 minutes for the doctor. No problem. Honestly. Here's the problem. When I didn't have my prescriptions 10 days later, I was told by her nurse, "I don't need to know what you and Dr. Brawley talked about; I need to know what you need." That is a quote. When I told her she was being rude, she told me, she wasn't rude. She was busy because she had a patient to see. This did not sit well with me in light of the time I patiently waited. It's Friday, at almost 2 and I'm sure I'll go another weekend without my prescriptions. Do yourself a favor and skip this practice. It's a shame because Miss Amy that draws blood drives from NC and she's amazing! The girl that sits on the right (can't remember her name) is fabulous if you can get lucky enough to get her on the phone. She pulls the voicemail, so I'm almost thankful when I do leave a message.

They offer a range of specialized services for women throughout their life journey to include fertility, general GYN, and menopause and hormone replacement therapy and care. Dr. Jennifer Balderston was highly recommended to me for ongoing care to follow-up after my upcoming surgery. I was easily able to make an appointment and see her. She's very personable and has a hands-on, honest approach to your care. I especially appreciated the ability to tell my specific wants/needs and thoughts and work with her to try to structure an approach that felt tailored to me and my specific needs. They have about 4 different location throughout Hampton Roads and are growing this newer practice, I expect it to continue to grow throughout the years and am excited to have found a place to land for years to come.

Both kind, didn't rush our appointments, answered all my questions, and it felt like they genuinely cared. I can say there were two that I absolutely disliked, from their condescending attitudes to their awful bedside manners. I thankfully never saw them again, and neither were on rotation for my birth. Dr. Butts, whom I didn't see during my pregnancy, delivered my baby. She was great. Very calm, and professional. I actually really liked her, and I'm glad she was the one who delivered my baby. I had a great experience. The front desk girls are helpful and kind, and though some were training, they immediately went and asked others for help when they weren't sure. When trying to make an appointment or reach the office, I wouldn't try calling after 4, because very rarely did I get someone to answer.
