Came in at opening just a couple of people there for blood work. So it was quick to come in as a new patient. I have tried going into patient first before - but cannot stand that place, so I tried a new spot hoping it would be a better experience. And it was! They did vitals and all, thankfully no Covid. They sent me to the pharmacy like a single store away, and I got antibiotics quickly! Will return with any issues I have.

Dr. Werwath is very knowledgeable and makes me feel welcome the moment I step in the doors. I know I can get a straight on honest answer about my concerns when going to see him instead of a run around . Only the necessary tests needed are given and I respect the way this office is ran . Today I came in with concerns that have literally kept me up at night and to have the doctor look at me and reassure me I'm fine , everything is fine and he's confident this will pass really just gave me the peace of mind I needed . I've recommended a few friends to this practice and recently I had a friend thank me because he was the most thorough doctor she's been to . I will most definitely be back if I ever have to be with confidence my health is in the best hands .

I have been going to Dr. Asuncion for about 30 years or so and cannot say enough about his kindness…read moreand compassion for his patients. I hope I never have to find another PCP because no one in my opinion could replace him.

Is it a natural part of the passage of life when you review more medical practices than night…read moreclubs? Sigh.... If you want a doctor who is not just knowledgable & caring, but also has a fabulous dry wit sense of humor, then Dr. Christopher Asuncion is your man. His "one liners" make going to the doctor a much more relaxed experience. My using Dr. A as a Primary Physician began years ago when my internist retired. A number of people at work went to a large, well established group in the Beach General corridor. So that's the practice I chose. Gradually everyone at work gravitated to Dr. A, a member of that practice at the time. When he left to found Mid-Atlantic Family Medicine, we all followed him. Dr. Asuncion isn't the type of Doctor you feel is rushing you out of the exam room. He will listen to your ailments & symptoms as long as you want to talk. And he remembers not just your medical conditions but also your family, interests & activities. Whenever I have one of my semi-regular sinus infections he will make sure that his staff works me into his always full schedule. And he will do his best to knock it out in the shortest time possible, especially if I have an important upcoming activity planned. It's quite humorous when he walks in the room & the first thing he says is "Got it again?" His decisions regarding whether you should be referred to a specialist for a newly diagnosed condition are prompt & correct. I've always been very happy with his specialist choices. An on-site lab technician eliminates the hassle of having to go to a hospital for blood work. Electronic transmission of prescriptions eliminates the need to carry a script to the pharmacy & make a return trip to pick it up, Access to the doctor is extremely easy. He is available by email, either responding by email or having his nurse or the office staff call. All are responsive & pleasant. The only down side to a one man family medicine practice is that he does need vacations & time off. His PA handles the chores in his absence. But of course I prefer Dr. A. The office is located in the Bon Secours Medical Building off South Plaza Trail, just north of Princess Anne Road. Both the building and the office convey the feelings of new, nicely decorated, clean & well lit. The spacious glass walls offer one an outside view that makes waiting in an exam room much more acceptable that four closed in walls. And the exam rooms are a nice size, rather than claustrophobic. Parking is plentiful and laid out so that it's always an extremely short walk to the entrance. Regular parking spaces are just as convenient as the handicapped slots. There is a covered drive-thru at the entrance, so one can drive an elderly or infirm patient directly to the door. Wheel chairs are available in the building lobby for their further use. Walk into the door at Mid-Atlantic Family Medicine and you are greeted pleasantly by your name. (Does this mean I go to the doctor too often?) It's a much more pleasant experience than the check-in ogre's at some medical practices who give one the feeling that you are interfering with their day. There must be a check-in ogre school, since so many have the same technique. Now I'm thinking of the one liner Dr. A would come up with if he read this review. I'm pretty certain I know exactly what it would be. So I'll just close on a serious note. Thank you for taking care of us Dr. A. You are very much appreciated.

After going through their list of doctors, I chose Dr. Meagan Roenker. I've been seeing her for years and I have not been disappointed. When she is unavailable for an appointment that meets my sporadic schedule, they are able to set me up with Physician Assistant, Karen Patterson. She's been exceedingly helpful throughout the years as well. Most major insurances are accepted here. They provide a range of services. What is great about going to TPMG is that they have a range of branches that cover most specialities you may need. When I was having knee issues, I was able to see Dr. Saunora Prom with TPMG Sports and Osteopathic Medicine who helped me tremendously with getting back on my feet after a knee injury. TPMG truly cares about their patients and are always striving for a pleasant and easy experience. Their receptions are also very polite and helpful (which can be rare in today's day and age). Across the board, this is a well rounded establishment that can help you with almost any of your medical needs.

It is impossible to get a doctor to return a call. The staff is incompetent....they mess appointments up, don't answer the portal in a timely fashion. Sadly, Dr. Balderston has slipped, too. Uncertain if everyone there was hit in the head with a rock but...... My first appt. with Tara, she ended up being out sick or something and Tracy Leonard filled in for her, 6 months later (next appt.), I get a call and was told she won't be around and they have to change the appt. The nurse told me I wouldn't be charged for the canceled visit (Really? I hope not....). A week later I get a call to make sure I'm prepared for my televisit? I told the nurse "You and I spoke last week, you canceled the appt. and moved my lab and visit appt. Silence....."Oh......OK". Then my visit rolls around (did my labs previous to the visit). I usually get the call before the televisit, but no. I called the office....voice mail, three times. Received no follow-up, nothing. My records were alo requested. The person requesting them, had to repeatedly make the request due to no response. I called them and Tara Bedard's nurse must've been hit in the head again with the rock from before! It took them forever to finally send the records off. The nurse actually asked me how she should send them? I asked if she was given instructions DUH! I already found a new PCP. Having a few chronic health conditions, I try to surround myself with good, competent medical providers. Princess Anne Family Practice couldn't find water if they fell out of a boat. We have found this facility to be A1 for care, efficiency, customer service, and cleanliness…read more I highly recommend this family care center when in need of care for minor ailments. The office staff, however is rude and lies. When I moved back to the area they were a close provider and I noticed on their sign that they are also a family medical practice provider. So when I went in for my first visit I asked that I be established as a regular patient and that they be my PCP. "No problem." they said. My second visit there I was presented with a huge bill and when I questioned it, I was assured I was being billed for primary care services. After my ER visit I went in to be seen to let them know what my final diagnosis finally was and that I needed to get some medications refilled that had been prescribed the ER. It was THEN I was told that they only provide "Family medicine" services for those who need like 3 months of medications at a time (you know the easy things things they can bill crazy high prices to the insurance companies for I imagine). So, now I am sick, have multiple health problems, had been told by them ON MULTIPLE occasions that they were my PCP but was then left high and dry. I attempted to find a PCP, but since they have all my records and are the provider I had been seeing, when I needed paperwork filled out because of a need for an ADA leave from my job, no one else would see me or address the situation. So I went BACK to them to explain and the office manager punched into her computer and advised that I had only ever been seen as an urgent care patient. I said that can't be right because I specifically asked, and was told that they would see me as my PCP, "Well that's what's the computer says....lol" She said . She advised that Dr. McDermott was no longer accepting patients for primary care, and I helpfully suggested they may want to add that to the "Family Medical Sign" and was rudely advised that they can put anything they want on their sign (evidently even when it is misleading at best and false advertising at worst.) Needless to say, I will be contacting the Board of Medicine to report this as well as to my insurance company as I was told I was being changed for PCP services and NOT urgent care, and will also be seeking relief in small claims court with the assistance of my attorney to try to recoup the money I already paid and/or at least have my bill reduced to the PCP rates. I may not prevail, but them having to answer the complaint from the medical board and attend a court hearing should MORE than make up for the inconvenience they have caused me. SO if you need MINOR (and I mean minor) care, and are willing to pay ridiculously high prices, by all means go here. Dr. McDermott and the nursing staff are very very nice. The office staff and manager, however need some serious training in customer service, ethics and transparent and correct billing practices.
