I was immediately met with a cold, condescending attitude from the lady who was doing my pedicure…read more She embarrassed me in front of other patrons by announcing that I had polish on my nails that needed to be removed and she would not have time for the pedicure I scheduled. This has never been the case anywhere else I have gone for pedicures- I was shocked by her comments and didn't appreciate being spoken to in this manner, most especially in front of other customers. Secondly, I was not allowed to use a Spa 27 gift card, since my appointment was booked on line with my credit card. Receptionist was rude and not willing to help with this. Unfortunately, my visit to Spa 27 was unpleasant. I will not recommend nor will I return.

After a salon in HB destroyed my healthy nails with a toxic polish removal process, Betty saved…read morethem. First, she removed the previous manicure with a much gentler process. Then, she explained how the shape of my nail bed calls for a slightly different nail shape, and she filed them expertly. The new gel manicure has lasted for weeks without chips, and my nails feel like they are getting strong and healthy again. My only surprise was an extra $10 for polish removal. Everywhere else I have been, the removal was included in the gel manicure charge. Nevertheless, the quality is exceptional, and I will return. Thank you, Betty!

My wax specialist was named Oksana, the SWEETEST, and I mean, S W E E T E S T woman. It had been a while since my last wax as I went back to shaving due to inconsistent travel for work so needless to say my lady parts were a little rough around the edges. I'm also Caribbean with really course thick hair that grows in a bunch of different directions (TMI I know). I have to say this was the least painful wax I've ever received in my life, Oksana was so gentle and chatted with me throughout the whole thing and her energy is just super familiar and comforting. I feel fresh and beach ready! 10/10 recommend!!!

After 3000 miles of desert riding on a Harley Davidson, my face was starting to resemble an old…read moreleather shoe. Sun spots were popping up all over my forehead and temples, and the lines and crow's feet wrinkles around my eyes seemed as pronounced as they have ever been (possibly attributed to 127 degree scorching temperatures through Death Valley and cheap gas station sunscreen. I decided to splurge a little and let the staff at A-Studio try to fix me up, and I'm glad I did. I booked a 90 minute massage immediately followed by a facial that I can only describe as a religious experience (Olga was AMAZING and I recommend her highly). I have used Dr. Brandt DNA (Do Not Age) products for almost 3 years, and they suggested trying a few products from their all-natural organic Eminence skin care line. I was never a believer in products that advertised they could make you look years younger after just a few applications, particularly with ingredients that you might find a chemistry set (except maybe for my religious daily application of Retinol that my dermatologist prescribed). I can say this with reasonable certainty, Eminence products are the best I've ever used. My day cream has sunscreen mixed right in, and combined with the retinol, things are greatly improving on my desert-worn face. Check out A-Studio. An awesome spa day awaits you. I recommend it highly!

I had a gel manicure and gel pedicure, and my daughter had acrylics removed, gel manicure and a french pedicure. I really wish I could say I had a good experience here, but unfortunately that wasn't the case…read more I went in with an appointment and brought a very specific reference photo, which I showed to two stylists to make sure we were all on the same page. (I'll attach the reference photo.) I was very clear that I wanted no more than two inches taken off. Instead, at least four inches were cut, and I left with choppy, uneven layers that looked like a combination of a blunt cut and an uneven mullet. I tried styling it for a few days to see if I could make it work, but I couldn't. I was devastated. When I returned to the salon to explain the situation, one of the two stylists was there. As I was describing what had happened, the stylist who cut my hair began telling the other stylist in Spanish that I had never shown a reference photo, never mentioned the length, and never said I only wanted two inches cut. Thankfully, I understand enough Spanish to know exactly what she was saying. I told them that I absolutely had shown the reference photo and had been very specific about the length. At that point, they immediately backtracked and switched to speaking to me in Spanish. Rather than acknowledging the misunderstanding, they told me it would be too difficult to fix and that because my hair was already so short, the only way to correct it would be to cut it even shorter. I left with no solution, no accountability, and in tears. More than anything, I was disappointed to be treated as though I was lying when I had gone out of my way to communicate exactly what I wanted. I had very long hair, and this wasn't a minor trim gone wrong--it was a significant haircut that I did not ask for. I wish I could get my money back. Based on my experience, I would only recommend coming here for a blowout, not a haircut.
