It had been a while since my last wax as I went back to shaving due to inconsistent travel for work so needless to say my lady parts were a little rough around the edges. I'm also Caribbean with really course thick hair that grows in a bunch of different directions (TMI I know). I have to say this was the least painful wax I've ever received in my life, Oksana was so gentle and chatted with me throughout the whole thing and her energy is just super familiar and comforting. I booked a 90 minute massage immediately followed by a facial that I can only describe as a religious experience (Olga was AMAZING and I recommend her highly). I have used Dr. Brandt DNA (Do Not Age) products for almost 3 years, and they suggested trying a few products from their all-natural organic Eminence skin care line. I was never a believer in products that advertised they could make you look years younger after just a few applications, particularly with ingredients that you might find a chemistry set (except maybe for my religious daily application of Retinol that my dermatologist prescribed). I can say this with reasonable certainty, Eminence products are the best I've ever used. My day cream has sunscreen mixed right in, and combined with the retinol, things are greatly improving on my desert-worn face. Check out A-Studio. An awesome spa day awaits you. This has never been the case anywhere else I have gone for pedicures- I was shocked by her comments and didn't appreciate being spoken to in this manner, most especially in front of other customers. Secondly, I was not allowed to use a Spa 27 gift card, since my appointment was booked on line with my credit card. Receptionist was rude and not willing to help with this. Unfortunately, my visit to Spa 27 was unpleasant. I will not recommend nor will I return.

I am drawing a blank on the name of the woman who did my hair, but I was told she was the best for up-dos. My hair was flawless and I didn't have any issues for the entire day! It was so intact it was perfectly in place the next day :) Elena did my makeup and one of the best compliments my now husband gave me the day of our wedding was how natural I looked - he was worried I was not going to look like myself. Elena went above and beyond and even came over to the venue before our ceremony started to touch everyone up. She didn't know where the callus remover, top coat or bathroom were. I asked to add on a massage to which the front desk girl said she would check it she had time. I didn't get a massage and the nail place has cleared out and she has no clients so not sure why my request couldn't be accommodated. While we waited 10+ minutes for the manicurist to actually show up for our appointment, we wound up having to explain to the one manicurist there how to remove the OPI gel currently on our nails. (Forgive me, but isn't that nail salon 101?!) Instead, they decided that we should just soak our nails in BOWL of straight up acetone for the entire length of our pedicure. (Pretty sure our skin is still burning and our fingers are still flammable days later.) The pedicure itself was fine -- the polish came out OK but the foot massage was lackluster and there were flies that flew around us all the while. As for the manicure, WE scraped off the gel remnants ourselves before they started on our nails. Again, the polish was fine but they definitely could have done a better job painting to the edges and removing the last bits of gel. The kicker came when we went to pay. They had the gall to charge us $73 for a basic manicure/pedicure and proceeded to mock us loudly when we questioned why it was so expensive. All that to say, NEVER going back there again.

Not only were several of the extensions applied crooked--so poorly, in fact, that the technician had to remove and redo four of them--but my natural nails were aggressively over-filed, leaving them extremely thin and damaged. The final result? Nails that are actually shorter than my original ones. Completely unacceptable for an extension service. To make matters worse, when I politely addressed my concerns with the manager, she responded with visible disdain, rolled her eyes, and dismissively stated, "I don't care," followed by a sarcastic, "Anything else?" The level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer experience was staggering. I would never return and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Staff and management are RUDE RUDE RUDE and expensive. Polish does not last even a few days.read more
