Jo Ann is an amazing colorist and stylist and as owner takes care that everything is clean and professionally handled. Omar can create a style or follow your wishes. I I don't know the others but it is always a pleasure to see and experience the improvement as people leave and to enjoy the special care given here. Do Yourself a Favor and DON'T GO to Fay Teller's Salon. I made an appointment. and they called me a few hrs. before to cancel. They gave me an appointment 2 days later for one of the services I was supposed to have originally. I showed up for that appoint. and they couldn't accommodate!!!!!! They had No Record and No one to help. Fay came over and offered Nothing. Only excuses. As a longtime small business owner, I know you can't treat customers this way in a small town. I should have read these Yelp reviews first. The technician was very nice but did a horrible job and seemingly had no skill for manicures. She kept spraying my nails with an industrial sized bottle of rubbing alcohol, never used cuticle oil or water to soften them, used a beat up washcloth to remove polish, sort of rubbed my cuticles for a while hoping they would take shape, used a clearly used nail file on me, rubbed cheap lotion on only one hand which flaked all over, and shaped the nails using the dull side of the file (so there ended up being no shape). It took over an hour for a regular manicure and clear polish. I was able to get my old gel polish removed but nothing of value after that. Honestly left feeling like I spent money for nothing and feeling less than clean. I strongly DO NOT recommend. read more

I used this salon twice for a manicure a few months apart. Terrible experience both times. The technician asked me 'what color' (from a very small selection) and that was the extent of the interaction. I'm not interested in a lot of conversation. But a pleasant hello and good-bye would service. The woman did chat it up with other employees around us, and then got up, and I had to ask if she was coming back or not. 'Not' was the answer. 'Not' is also my answer; Lots of other places in town. read more

I visited Fay Taylor Salon summer 2014 in August while on vacation in the Hamptons. I did not have an appointment and was welcomed as though I was a regular customer. Everybody was extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Having to attend a benefit dinner and not having enough time to visit my salon in the city before I left, I decided to have my hair cut and blown out in Bridgehampton. What I got was an expert cut, and blow dry. I think they are so good that I am going to make Fay Teller Salon my regular hair stylist during the summer and make the trip out there in the winter. the first time at salon told me I must purchase certain items for pedicure-I was told that I could leave it with name on package at the salon so that I could use that the next time when I returned and would not have to purchase again. When I did return I was told they did not have and charged me a second time for equipment. Overall, staff and technician were rude and unpleasant. Never did they apologize for loosing this stuff or for second charge. read more

Pulled a dirty hair-filled brush out of a drawer and tried to put it in my hair. Besides being disgusting this is against health dept laws.

i came for an appointment and the lady was incredibly rude and since my hair had been dyed prior she kept going on about how she didn't want to do all the work and the layers of bleach and would rather just put dye on top of my already light brown hair. i insisted i just wanted it a little lighter and i didn't care about damage or if it's close to what i want i just asked that she try. she told me to think about it and left me sitting prepped FOR AN HOUR!! never came to check on me and when i decided to leave because i had to go to work my mom said after i left the women there was speaking poorly about me. never again i left crying. try somewhere a little more authentic these people are in believable. read more

After using salons in Sag, EH and Amag. and not being pleased with either the price, the cut, or just the general vibe, I finally found a salon I love. I have used Fay Teller Salon for many years now. I get highlights and cuts there year round. I have gotten many compliments on my color. People are often surprised to learn that I color my hair; Joanne makes my blonde look very natural (but I have seen some very edgy color done there as well). The salon has recently been renovated and the new look is serene and spa like. I have also enjoyed getting manicures and waxing done. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a place where you can relax and get great consistent service and an excellent cut every time. read more

I recently revisited the Fay Teller Salon in Bridgehampton. It's a great location and the salon looked refreshed with the new renovation. However the shining star was clearly Marc Zowine and the incredible color he did on my hair. Even my husband noticed! Best I have had ever whether in NYC or out East. read more

Went in during the off-season for a cut. It was my third time. I figured hey, it can't be bad, my hair's pretty easy. So it was mediocre, quick, relatively cheap. But on this particular occasion, the owner was getting a pedicure and she and the pedicurist were practically screaming at each other they were talking so loud, as though the rest of us weren't there. Um, inside voices, please. Then--get this... after the owner leaves, the pedicurist gives HERSELF a pedicure. No thanks. That was it for me. I get it, it's not Manhattan, I can't expect Manhattan-level service. But, er, that is just plain nasty. read more

I would follow Marc Zowine to any salon but Fay Teller is the most comfortable, clean, peaceful and spacious salon in the Hamptons when I can't see Marc in the city. He is truly an artist with color and cut. read more
