SERVICE. This is the…read moresecond time I have contacted "Bert" (the owner) at First Option Plumbing to provide residential plumbing services. Following a camera inspection and receipt of a competitive estimate from Bert, I hired First Option Plumbing to remove cast iron drainage pipes concealed in the walls of my home. In the absence of any complications, the job was expected to last around three days. QUALITY. On the day of the re-piping job, Bert and his team of plumbers arrived on time and wearing professional uniforms. After placing protective booties over their shoes, they immediately placed multiple protective coverings on all floor surfaces and taped large plastic tarps along the ceilings and walls to minimize dust and debris. Then they removed the cast iron drainage pipes from several bathroom areas, laundry area, work sink and kitchen. After each cast iron pipe was removed, a brand new ABS drainage pipe was installed in its place. When they were done with the work, they cleaned-up each worksite and didn't leave any of the old cast iron pipes or debris behind. TL/DR: Bert and his plumbing team completed all of the re-piping work efficiently and very quickly. VALUE. I was very satisfied with Bert's plumbing services - highly recommended - thank you!

I explained that I believed we had a leak in my Mom's shower. They looked at the water meter and climbed up in the attic. Told me they could not find the leak and that the water meter does not indicate one is happening. I told them we believe it was when the shower was turned on, they told me they had to call their boss to get permission?! To turn on a shower?! Is that not part of investigating a leak?! I told them to go ahead and go and I will have someone else come. They proceeded to send me a bill for $150. I called the owner and he did not make me pay it, thankfully. I had another plumbing company come out a couple of hours after, who found the problem within 10 mins from simply turning on the shower, something the techs failed to do. I cannot believe this company was referred to me and am even more shocked with all of the great reviews!!

My dishwasher wasn't getting water--a dishwasher appliance guy and two water softener installers told me I had major issues under my kitchen sink and likely needed valves replaced and angle stops put in. Turns out, Bryan just gently yanked the cold water knob, discovered the dishwasher's water supply had simply been turned off, and fixed it instantly. Then I asked him to look at a slow bathtub leak I've had for years that other plumbers didn't want to touch. He changed out the valve stems one at a time to make sure we weren't replacing anything that wasn't broken and, voila, problem fixed. This guy is timely, efficient, skilled, and honest. He recommended we call someone with a camera. We called OCD&S. They said the pipe is too small and too many right angles for a camera so they tried other methods. They used a camera to check the pipes. This one was a little tricky because the toilet drain pipe had a lot of 90 deg turns at the beginning. The camera showed gunk clogging up the pipe. In this case, they had to cut a hole in the wall to access the vent pipe to cut into it and put in a tee fitting to give better access to the drain lines. They hydro-jetted the pipes, first passes with a stronger pressure head, followed by several passes with a smaller head. They then stuck the camera back in and showed that the lines were clear. Since they had the camera in, James snaked it all the way to the front of the house where it meets the city sewer line, just to make sure there were no other blockages. James and Ty were very nice and friendly. They answered my questions as they did their work, and let me see the camera video as they did it. They laid plastic sheeting along the path through the house to protect it as they were using a hose run from a pressure washer in the driveway to the bathroom in the middle of the house. They always used shoe covers and cleaned up everything when they were done. James also texted me the camera video of the pipes before and after the hydro-jetting for my records. Price-wise, I don't know how good of a value it was, since they were the first plumbing company I contacted for this problem, based on their good yelp reviews, but since they came within a couple of hours and I really needed it to get unclogged, I went with them. I am very satisfied with their service. Will definitely use Iron Mtn in the future for my plumbing needs.

He came out, inspected both lines, and gave me a competitive price. More importantly, he was honest and straightforward about the work that needed to be done. Robert initially came out to hydro-jet the line, but during the inspection he discovered that the main sewer line under the house was rusting and thin in several spots. He explained that hydro-jetting could potentially cause bigger problems with the pipe. He showed me the camera footage and clearly explained what he was seeing, noting that the line would need to be replaced sooner rather than later. He also did not charge me for the diagnostic visit. I really appreciated that Robert took the time to educate me and explain everything thoroughly. His passion for his work is evident in the quality of service he provides. Robert and his crew replaced the sewer line from my house to the street, and they were extremely polite, professional, and proactive--especially when it came to making sure my dogs stayed safely in the backyard. I will definitely work with Robert again when it's time to replace the sewer line under the house. If you're looking for a quote, I highly recommend calling Robert before choosing a plumber for any sewer or drain issue, large or small.

They are vague and seek to take advantage of a crisis. My tech yesterday even claimed he was "required" to have our drywall tested for mold. On another occasion, the tech wanted to replace far more than was necessary - but I pushed back and he only replaced what I originally contacted them about.
