I undertook a significant amount of research on Golden breeders in the extended area, focusing specifically on hobby breeders that had wonderful sir and dam lines that were well documented and highly reviewed. Tammy and Dream Golden Retrievers fit the bill. From the first series of communications, Tammy was awesome. It is so clear that she loves Goldens, and she provided us with a WEALTH of information. Everything from how to prepare our home and children, to the best vet to select, to the best trainers in our area. I can't imagine doing this on our own after having Tammy's support. Visiting the litter it was clear she had such an amazing Mom (Willow) and Dad (Doc) - https://k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=1081443. Tammy was very thoughtful in selecting our puppy with our input, and our sweet girl Scout has been wonderful. She is a blast at home, very smart and picks up to training quickly, and even our trainer has told us that she "fell in love" with Scout! We provide a VERY strong recommendation for Tammy and Dream Golden Retrievers!!!!! Some pictures of our beautiful Scout :).

How I came to know about San Jose Bengal Cats and Rene was at the Campbell farmer's market where…read moresomeone had a cat in their backpack. I reached out asking so many questions earlier this year but the timing just wasn't right. Rene actually reached out to me because he knew I was looking for one without spots. Naturally, I asked for a photo and just HAD to go meet her. Rene is very patient and cares deeply for these cats. You can see his engagement with these babies and how much he cares for them. The day he reached out, I was able to visit the cattery and that was the beginning of the end. You're able to hold the kitty with a deposit until when you're ready to bring them home. They come with the basic vaccines, a week worth of wet and dry food, and he will send pedigree papers once they're spayed/neutered. We love our dear girl and hope others will be able to find great homes! As he said, we're now family.

And we were even more pleased with the conversation we had with the owner Rene. He was super helpful and answered all of our questions. You can tell how much he loves his work and his cats. We were particularly interested in a Bengal cat because they are supposed to be more hypoallergenic than other cats, and so far, we can see why. Almost no cat hair left anywhere. Although cat dander is where most of allergies come from, these cats have less of that too. Apparently, these cats are very smart and can be trained to travel with you on a leash like a dog; so we are starting our training now and it is going well. Rene was happy to chat about how to train our cat, and we never felt rushed. We highly recommend San Jose Bengal Cats!

As new dog owners, my family wanted to have the best investment in our Labrador Retriever puppy's…read moretraining so we could build a mutually rewarding life with him. I began exploring all kinds of programs with various trainers around the idea and Primal Canine stood apart from the get go because: (1) Erin is an amazing, kind and professional person to work with. She is prompt, yet not pushy. She worked with the facts and empathy for our needs and budget to help us get to the right program. (2) The trainer we were assigned to was forthcoming, efficient and excellent with the training. He was clear with what we could expect and what the constraints were. (3) Primal Canine is local to where we live, and we really preferred to go with a nearby small business, as both one we could support and build a relationship with, and for convenience. Within the 3 weeks of board and train our puppy went through, he came back with solid foundations and ability to understand and respond positively to basic commands. Primal's role does not end with the program - they constantly support with our needs and questions even after graduating from B&T, and actually offer a lifetime of resources to help us grow and flourish with our new best friend. We could not be happier we went with Primal and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to build a rewarding relationship with their dogs. Special shout-out to Erin and the trainer we worked with - you've been amazing to our family. Thank you!

Amazing experience from first contact!! I am a passionate dog rescuer. I have rescued countless (in…read morethe hundreds) of dogs from high kill Bay Area shelters over the past couple of decades. I even founded and ran my own rescue organization many years ago (Tails of Love), and my focus was rescuing the dogs who were dumped and then overlooked by adopters and other rescues (DOGS: Discarded and Overlooked Get Saved). Now I have a gifted child who is also neurodivergent and has significant sensory processing issues, OCD, and accompanying severe anxiety. I needed an "ideal" dog to train as a service dog, and since he will eventually be in school with her for many years, he has to be a low-shedding breed. I looked and looked in my networks and couldn't find a suitable candidate. I finally turned to RW&D, and I cannot find the words to adequately express what a dream our whole experience has been!!! Our tiny puppy is perfect, and already great with the potty training. We can't wait to start our service dog training when little Griffin (formerly San Luis Obispo from the Surf's Up litter) is old enough. I still believe wholeheartedly in adopting from shelters or rescues, but this experience opened my mind. Sometimes there's a need to buy, and if you are going that route, do not look further. Even if you have to wait, it's worth it! Hillarie and Warren are amazing. Take it from me.
