Amazing !! Love them I feel my dog is safe, cared for, and loved too. Enzo attended 4wk training while we were traveling. It was a perfect situation for all of us. The follow-up of parent training was great and needed as well. Their continued support is above and beyond Urban was recommended to us by our amazing Groomer Petra in Willow Glen. Ellie's Snip & Clip. She and her team are awesome too. They have seen a lot of the dogs before and after their training with Urban Dog House. Still visiting them for boarding and parent training follow-up. 10-10 !!

The place is heaven for my puppy Ahsoka! We took swimming lessons and now she loves it and goes every week. Their open classes for Agility is a great way to bond and exercise with your dog. They also have great activities on the weekends like pool parties and pack walks all over the South Bay.

All tuckered out after her pack-walk.

Can not recommend highly enough!!! We kennel our dog (Loki) with UDH at least once a month for a few days at a time (sometimes longer) and I never have to worry about her because I know that she is 100% loved and cared for!!! The owner and staff are absolutely amazing!!! Not all kennels have staff onsite 24 hours but UDH does, that's very important and something you might not think to ask. I know that our little girl is in the best care because all I have to do is say "Cooperhaus" (now known as "Urban Dog House") and she completely loses it!!! She gets SO excited. UDH's training is second to none and they train all breeds, sizes, and all ages BUT they really reinforce that the humans are the ones who really need to be trained. Dogs just want to please us and are incredibly smart, we're the ones that need to be trained. We went on a pack-walk today in downtown Willow Glen and it was great! We can literally take our dog absolutely anywhere and know that she can handle a vast array of stimulation (other dogs, kids, people, loud sounds, busy streets, other animals, etc) with little to no reaction, stress, or anxiety. We've been taking our dog here for 8+ years... they are NOT just pet sitters, they are SOOO much more!!!

We recently got three Tibetan mastiff puppy mixes (mocha, nila and cookie) out of the blue back in December 2023 and now are about 8 months old. They've been going to classes once a week about 4 months now and Steve (lead trainer) has been a great help with tips and tricks on how the pups can get along with each other (as they are littermates) and how train the pups at home! Today was their first day at day care we've received report cards, which include pictures, videos, and detailed updates on each of our pups progress. We feel worried free leaving our beloved pups here! Looking forward to taking them back and to help them grow to become a confident and a well-mannered companion!

Can't say enough good things about Urban Dog House. I have brought both of my dogs here for obedience training and the methods used are very helpful, safe and effective. They have helped us so much with both our dogs and I really see a difference in our pups when we reinforce the training methods used by UDH. Aside from training we have done boarding and just today swimming. Both were awesome experiences and the staff always makes sure the dogs are enjoying themselves in a safe way. Both of my dogs absolutely love Dexter and enjoy seeing him (we do too) but I'd also like to point out that Steve is also great, organized to work with and we did a puppy class with Juan who was awesome as well and really gave us helpful tips for our nervous GSD. UDH has so many great options for training such as pack walks, swimming, agility and regular training and I realize how important each activity is in building a bond and confidence with your dog.

Updated review: we have been bringing our German Shepard Vader here since he was a puppy, and we absolutely love it! We used to be very anti prong collar but we have learned how to safely use them and reinforce good behavior as well. We feel it's much better to know our dog will be safe in public and react to slight discomfort of the prong collar rather than exhibit bad behavior in public and potentially experience a dangerous situation with another dog. All of our lessons have been wi the dexter but all of the staff including Steven and Dexters nieces are amazing!

Short Version: Urban Dog House is great and I'm so glad to be close to a dog training & play facility! Long Version: My husband and I enrolled our little 1.5 year old Cavapoo to Obedience Level 1 at the beginning of May. While she's a good girl, she does have some people/dog reactivity. We didn't know where to start, so we went to the complimentary eval session where Steve recommended we start with the Level 1 Obedience class (Steve is great btw! He remembered her when he saw her a couple of weeks later :)). The classes so far have been great! Of course it's not going to be an "overnight miracle" where she knows all the commands/listens all the time, but this training I think is more for us vs. for her. At the end of class each week we're sent with things to do for the week and it's progressed from: Heel to Sit to Stay to a mix of it all. It's only been 4 classes so far and she's made huge strides already. Is she perfect when there are tons of distractions? No... but I don't expect her to be. BUT she is understanding the commands and we are working our way up to more distractions and different locations all while still being fun for the both of us. I can't wait to continue participating in the classes they have to offer :)

We have been visiting Urban Dog House for a couple of weeks now for swimming sessions and our experience has been great! The pool is spacious and well maintained and our instructor Steve is the sweetest person who shows extra care for our pup! Love going here and would highly recommend this place to anyone with a pup that loves/needs to swim. They have life jackets for dogs in all sizes and toys for dogs to play with, so we get to keep our bag light for every visit.

We heard about this place and decided to give it a try. We put our dog through obedience training. Prior to enrolling my dog, he lunges at people and other dogs, to the point where my wife and I don't look forward to taking Milo in walks anymore. Fast forward to today, we are currently 1 week away from finishing our level 1 class (out of 5 sessions) but I can honestly say that I have seen a HUGE improvement on my dog. The training is not for the dog, but they train you to train your dog. I love being in class for two reasons; socialization for my dog and it's affordable. Dexter (owner and trainer) is a very hands on with the people he works with. Special shout out to Steve and Juan as well!! If you're looking to train your dog and ready to do the work, I recommend to give this place a shot!

This is a review for swimming lessons! It was super fun and the dogs enjoyed it. The trainer was very patient and friendly, which made the experience all that much better. They also provided instructions on how to get to the pool entrance which was very helpful. Our dogs had a great time cooling off in the heatwave weather!

I would like to give a shout out to the Urban Dog House for the excellent, professional care they give to my 3 dogs. Wether it is boarding for day care or attending one of the events. I have recently brought my Cane Corso in for daycare. I had some special instructions from the veterinary for my Rosebud. Not only was the stay friendly and kind, they were also empathic to my Rosebud situation and took excellent care of her. During the day, the pet parents get a report card on how you dog did through out the day with their pictures attached. My Rosebud had the biggest smile. The staff paid a lot of attention to her needs as well as take her out and play with her. STEVE .. one of the owners. I don't think hands down would show how grateful I am for your kindness, professionalism. I applaud you and your staff for making the Urban Dog house a safe place for all dogs to come. 5 stars is not enough for what you and your staff provided for all dogs. Thank you for allowing my dogs to use your facilities.

I had a private lesson with Dexter, and then shortly enrolled my dog into doggy boarding + daycare. I am usually very serious about my dog's training so I can be picky about where she stays in terms of dogsitting. She usually comes back very well behaved, and on top of that, I even receive updates and photos of her during her stay! The employees always have comments on how she did during the day. I could not recommend this business enough!

We've taken our dog, Meelo, here for swimming and agility and had a wonderful time. They are fantastic at working with both the dogs and owners and the facility is very well equipped. Our dog loves going and it really is the best part of his week.

Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the most upsetting experiences I've had with a veterinarian. My cat had gotten covered in car oil and likely ingested some of it because she was scared and I couldn't catch her right away. By the time I finally did, she had gone downhill. She had lost weight, was drooling, her tongue was sticking out, and her mouth looked burned and ulcerated. I was scared and brought her in because I needed help fast. When Dr. Saini looked at her, it felt like he wrote her off almost immediately. He looked in her mouth briefly and told me it was a tumor and that she would not have a good quality of life. I asked more than once if it could be an ulcer instead, especially because of the car oil exposure and the burns in her mouth, but he still said it was a tumor. There was very little explanation, very little compassion, and no real sense of urgency. What bothered me the most was that I had to point out that she was clearly having respiratory distress before that was even addressed. Only after I kept asking questions did labs and X-rays come up. By that point, I honestly had no confidence in the care being provided and chose not to move forward with testing there. The next day, I took her to another vet. They diagnosed an oral ulcer, not a tumor, and started treatment right away, including IV fluids and oxygen. That was heartbreaking because I feel like her care was delayed when she needed help the most. I know not every diagnosis is easy, and I don't expect any doctor to be perfect. But I do expect compassion, urgency, and a willingness to actually listen when an animal is clearly suffering. I left feeling like my cat was dismissed instead of helped, and I would not feel comfortable bringing another pet here.

Somehow we found Hailey and called her and explained our situation and she accommodated us. Our child, Peter, is high energy dog . She told us to bring him in and she will evaluate. When I brought him in I was worried and had to tell her again that he is high energy to make sure everything would be ok. She met him and took him in and made sure I left feeling confident. She told me if he was uncomfortable she would take him home with her so he would be able to sleep. 100% would recommend Hailey. During our initial visit, she was very professional and helpful, and the facility seemed well run. We ultimately chose a home-based daycare for our 6-month-old puppy and canceled well in advance. In October 2025, I paid a $855 deposit via Zelle to reserve boarding and requested a refund after canceling. After multiple follow-ups, I was told the refund would be processed. I was later informed that the refund had been sent to the wrong person and would be corrected, with a commitment that it would be completed by February 18, 2026. Unfortunately, I never received it, and there has been no resolution since. I've attempted to follow up via phone (calls are no longer being accepted), WhatsApp (messages are read but not responded to), and email, but have not received any response. At this point, I am still waiting on the refund and have had to pursue formal channels to resolve this. I hope this can be resolved promptly.

I'm coming out of the dead to leave this review because I hope it helps someone who is thinking…read moreabout seeking professional training for their dog(s). We are not new dog owners and with our previous dog, we lived the best life - traveling across US and Canada, flying on planes, staying in hotels, dining at Michelin star restaurants, going to work at the office, walking off leash, etc - with zero professional training. He actually was a puppy school drop out! We learned that all dogs are different and with our new pups, we needed help on dealing with behavioral issues like reactivity. Through positive reinforcement, Amy coached us on how to loose leash walk our dogs in heel position. She also showed us how to do "place" work, use spatial pressure and how to get our dogs to focus on us around distractions. We also learned how to turn up our praising game verbally and with treats! Trainings were mainly at Butcher Park which is a very high pressure environment given the amount of dogs at any given time. It really put us to the test and honestly, we were challenged! It's hard work. We had homework after each lesson, but we committed to practicing in between lessons. We weren't perfect but we always showed up ready to learn, and to give and receive feedback each time with the goal of growing and improving. We ended up doing "board and train" for both of our dogs (one at a time) and we couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. We needed a jumpstart and Amy gave us the knowledge and tools to set us up for how we want to live our lives with our French bulldogs. She truly loves dogs and wants the best for them and their owners. We highly recommend Amy!

The first year with my golden retriever, Luka, was extremely hard. He was a mouthy dog who had zero boundaries at home or outside. He would get excited or frustrated and grab/bite onto my shoes or clothes daily. Walking him became an impossible task because he was extremely dog-reactive, and he dragged me a couple of times while trying to chase another dog. Walking him also became a two-person job, with someone always on the lookout for other dogs so we could turn the other way. He also began to resource guard and snapped at my dad twice.. I had already spent thousands on another trainer and didn't have much success. I began to feel like this was just what life with Luka would be like forever. It got to the point where I felt scared of him, and the life I was giving him out of that fear wasn't fair to him. So I decided to try and get help one last time. I found Lori's page and after reading the reviews I became hopeful again. I took Luka in for an evaluation, and Lori recommended their board-and-train program. I can't thank Chelsea and Lori enough for everything they've done. I've learned so much about Luka, how to manage different situations, and how to better understand his behavior. We had training lessons throughout his board-and-train stay and afterward, because we are the ones who need most of the training! Chelsea did an amazing job with Luka. At home, Luka is unrecognizable in the best way. We can actually go on adventures outside without being terrified that we won't be able to handle him. Those who knew Luka before his stay and see him now always comment on how well he is doing. I cannot recommend Lori Hamilton's Dog training enough to anyone who feels like they've tried everything and is feeling discouraged. I am so thankful because it finally feels like Luka and I can start living life and enjoying everything around us.
