Highly recommended, Dr. Bajwa is vet to our 3 fur babies (2 dogs 1 cat). He's always been kind, gentle and informative with our pets. The staff is awesome! Kudos to Niko who was gentle with my senior cat's nail trim and immunization. He's kind, patient, and has sense of humor. We've always walked out assured and satisfied with our pets outcome.

Once in a lifetime do you have the opportunity to be able to truly trust a veterinarian whole has had many many years of experience and knowledge to know what is best for your beloved best friend. This special vet is Dr Gregory Anderson! I am so grateful to have both my dogs under his care. He is truly a gem. Thank you for your excellent care. You're rolling now - got any more to add?

This has been my vet for over 30 years. Dr. Anderson has been a literal life saver. I was really sad when he decided to semi retired. But he definitely deserves the break, considering the great work that he's done. I can't write enough good things about Luna. She is always so helpful and caring. She always finds a way to somehow get my dogs in during a emergency. Thank you Luna.

Came into this vet on a Saturday for our family dog's recent eye issue. The doctors were caring and doing everything in their efforts to help us! We discovered that Mimi went blind in her right eye due to Glaucoma and an Ulcer. Although, with medication prescribed and recommendation of a cone, Mimi is on her road to recovery thanks to the help of Calaveras Vet Clinic! They've helped us get into contact with an eye vet specialist as well. Super caring staff truly have a passion for helping animals over money costs. Highly recommend to bring your loved ones here to get annual, affordable visits.

I have no words to express my gratitude to all the staff, from the receptionists to the vets, and very specially to Dr Satwinder Bajwa, DVM. I started visiting the clinic in search of an available clinic for travel health certificates. However, what started as a routine visit before travel evolved into a more intensive treatment. My dog already had a heart murmur, and when the time came for in-depth heart checkups and treatment, Dr. Bajwa and the clinic became a lifeline! Last week my dog was gasping for air, almost died, but thankfully they did an amazing job stabilizing him. We thought we were going to lose him, but after a few days, my dog is back to his old self, alive and able to be comfortable again. Thank you to all the staff at the clinic, their patience and compassion. Rocket is here because of all your hard work.

My cat Miss Jitters had stopped eating and drinking, so I asked my sister if she could recommend a vet. She told me about Calaveras Pet clinic . After a bunch of tests and x-rays, she had a massive hairball lodged in her stomach. Dr. Bajwa did the surgery that saved her life. Dr. Bajwa and his staff were the best. I have pictures below on the hairball and my beautiful cat. Thank you again. You are all the best.

Dog had a clear ear infection, but nurse over the phone told me she didnt since she "checked" during the surgery a few days prior.

Updated review: TLDR; It just felt like Caleveras Vet was so strongly pushing to have my dog do dental cleaning, and didnt really care much about the real issue i brought my dog in. Not only that but failed to disclose to me that my dog had early signs of kidney failure. *** I brought my dog in because she was having random flesh wounds on her body - totally at random. (She's older so doesnt go out much to play with other dogs, and is very mellow/doesnt get into anything). When i brought her in, the doctor barely examined the wound and went straight to her teeth. He said she needs a dental cleaning and due to her teeth, she is likely spreading bacteria to her skin when she bites to scratch herself. I stressed that she hardly itches or bites at herself...so how can that be? (One of the wounds was on the back of her neck where her mouth cant even reach) Well, im not a doctor so who knows. He kept pushing that she needs dental cleaning, and i wasnt opposed to this idea. They did her blood work & gave me a quote for the dental cleaning - since shes a senior, they said theyll get back to me by the end of the week to let me know if she has any health issues that would contraindicate the procedure. A week past and i didnt hear from them. I had to call in and asked if they can email me the blood test results & asked if everything came up ok for her. They said her blood test came back normal and asked if i wanted to schedule the dental cleaning. I had gotten a quote elsewhere that was much more reasonable. I sent this other vet the blood test results. This clinic told me that my dog has early stages of kidney failure. He said some medical term first and i was confused. This vet asked "did Caleveras Vet not mention this to you?" ...no...no they didnt... Good thing it's early stages and her kidney levels can be monitored with better diet and supplements. But i was tearful. They didnt explain the chart to me, how was i supposed to know what i was looking at??? This other vet wasnt even trying to pressure me to buy the special kibble that was sold there. He wrote the name down for me to look into purchasing if i wanted to.

Outside cat vaccinated and was sent home with this cute heart

What would a preventative dental cleaning cost for a 4 yr old dog (20 lbs) including the subsidiary procedures associated with it (like bloodwork, anaesthesia, etc.)?

Is the new client exam still $29?

    No, it is $58

How much do you charge or nose-to-tail exam?

Not true - I was charged a LOT more for a puppy exam with no vaccines. Pricing here seems to fluctuate wildly.

How much does a check up cost?

My dog has gone there for 13 years. Her last annual exam cost $58.00. Where expenses add up are on the annual shots. For example: DHPP Booster: $30.00, Ova & Parasite: $54.00, Heartworm test: $52.00. Dr. Anderson is the best. Unfortunately he is now… Read more

My 18yr Maltese has had severe CHF for 2yrs now. Beside she has right side failure, just this month, she is beginning to need belly taps. This may become a regular procedure. Is this a procedure you do?

Yes. You have done well to manage a patient with severe CHF for 2 years. As you probably understand, you are getting into the more difficult period as the fluid builds up in the peritoneal cavity.

Do they also have boarding for cats for 3 weeks?

    Sorry, no boarding service provided.

Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the most upsetting experiences I've had with a veterinarian. My cat had gotten covered in car oil and likely ingested some of it because she was scared and I couldn't catch her right away. By the time I finally did, she had gone downhill. She had lost weight, was drooling, her tongue was sticking out, and her mouth looked burned and ulcerated. I was scared and brought her in because I needed help fast. When Dr. Saini looked at her, it felt like he wrote her off almost immediately. He looked in her mouth briefly and told me it was a tumor and that she would not have a good quality of life. I asked more than once if it could be an ulcer instead, especially because of the car oil exposure and the burns in her mouth, but he still said it was a tumor. There was very little explanation, very little compassion, and no real sense of urgency. What bothered me the most was that I had to point out that she was clearly having respiratory distress before that was even addressed. Only after I kept asking questions did labs and X-rays come up. By that point, I honestly had no confidence in the care being provided and chose not to move forward with testing there. The next day, I took her to another vet. They diagnosed an oral ulcer, not a tumor, and started treatment right away, including IV fluids and oxygen. That was heartbreaking because I feel like her care was delayed when she needed help the most. I know not every diagnosis is easy, and I don't expect any doctor to be perfect. But I do expect compassion, urgency, and a willingness to actually listen when an animal is clearly suffering. I left feeling like my cat was dismissed instead of helped, and I would not feel comfortable bringing another pet here.

I reached out to Hailey after a positive referral. During our initial visit, she was very professional and helpful, and the facility seemed well run. In October 2025, I paid a $855 deposit via Zelle to reserve boarding and requested a refund after canceling. After multiple follow-ups, I was told the refund would be processed. I was later informed that the refund had been sent to the wrong person and would be corrected, with a commitment that it would be completed by February 18, 2026. Unfortunately, I never received it, and there has been no resolution since. I've attempted to follow up via phone (calls are no longer being accepted), WhatsApp (messages are read but not responded to), and email, but have not received any response. Individual Dog Training Review:…read more Our dog is 4 years old, he's a labradoodle and has always been very high energy when outside or around other dogs. While we should have gotten him properly trained years ago, we didn't. After some research, I landed on Urban Dog House. It was nearby and after reading not only about their methodology but also reviews here and on Google, we signed up for an individual training session with Steve. Over the course of an hour, Steve gave me the proper tools to help our guy meet the goals we had always envisioned. I was really happy with how things went in the classroom but fully expected things to revert when we got back home. Sticking with Steve's methods, I am absolutely shocked how responsive our dog has become. He is no longer the dog that yelps, barks and screeches when another dog is within 1/2 mile of his vision. He still gets excited but we now have the tools to align him with our expectations. I'm really looking forward to having him enroll in the group class next. While I was there, I was able to tour the entire facility and we'll be boarding with Urban Dog House this upcoming weekend. Also got to walk through a group training session and what I saw seemed like a dream - 20 or so dogs and their owners, in a room, dogs laying down, owners not holding leashes. It was amazing. I feel pretty confident our guy will get there eventually! Will also note that the staff there seems genuinely very happy. Extremely friendly and I got the impression they all care deeply about animals. Very fortunate to find this place and would recommend it without reservation to others.

My male lab is dog-reactive when on a lead, and my female terrier is very feisty when her big brother is around. This always makes me nervous when I go on vacations leaving them in the care of others, even close family members. Urban Dog House (UDH) minimized my worries right off the bat by explaining their protocols for pups who don't get along with other animals, allowing me to visit their facility before boarding, and sending report cards throughout the week. Per my request, they even allowed Max & Cardi to board together in the same kennel, as I had some concerns that having them separated would cause more stress. Their kennels are big and spacious, so I knew my dogs would be comfortable. Additionally, UDH also has a fridge/freezer, so they were able to accommodate Max & Cardi's dry kibble/raw diet meals. The UDH team, especially Steven, was always responsive and friendly whenever I reached out for updates, so I truly appreciated that. For our first extended stay, I received a discounted nightly rate for my second dog, and upon pick-up, UDH was gracious enough to give both of them complimentary baths. I attached a photo here of how they looked when we finally got home. They looked happy, well-fed, and were free of any scratches/marks. I am boarding with UDH again later this week and am confident that my dogs will be in good care!
