I received a response offering an exam appointment (which I expected), along with the soonest available opening, but no information about pricing -- not even the cost of the exam itself. I replied asking for both the exam fee and availability. They responded by booking an appointment date and time, again without answering my question about pricing. I had to follow up a third time explaining that I needed to know the cost before confirming, and I was finally told the exam would be $60, which seemed reasonable. Since it was actually my brother's dog, I sent him to the appointment. After the visit, he was quoted $1,600-$2,000 for treatment, which was unfortunately out of his budget. While that happens and isn't necessarily the issue, I was disappointed to find out he had been charged $80 for the exam instead of the $60 I was originally told. When I reached out via text, they explained they "forgot" to apply the new client discount -- something that had never been mentioned to me beforehand. They offered either a refund or to apply the difference toward future services. Since we had already found another clinic that could do the same services for around $1,200, I asked for the $20 refund back to the card. After that, I never heard back. No confirmation of the refund, no apology for the overcharge, nothing. I understand veterinary care is expensive, and it's not their fault my brother is a broke college student. But basic customer service and communication go a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning or recommending this office.

My toy poodle had been dealing with tear stains for a couple of months, and the ointment Dr. Singh prescribed cleared it up so quickly. Highly recommend Aborn Clinic and Dr. Singh!

My senior cat has been very sick and I scheduled an appointment with this doctor (Singh). My appointment being out two weeks. I've called many times, 80% of the time they don't pick up their phones and the voicemail is completely full, so unprofessional. I was told to email any prior records via email so he can get a better idea. The exact day and time I emailed the records, he writes back like a child and says can you come now at 3pm. Which is two hours away from the appointment time, I live an hour away and am working like adults usually do. I asked if there were any other times, His response was well I'm ready, your schedule is busy. I've never met someone more cold and have no care for patients or their pets. If I was treated this way as a new patient, I don't want to know how regular patients are treated. This is suppose to be a doctor who can't even spell properly and speaks like a child with 1-2 words per communication attempt. Please do us a favor and learn some social skills. Pets are family for some folks. You might be doing this for the money or doctor status but we take our pets very serious! Response to your comment- you are entitled to your opinion and I am as well. You also called my sister today who is also a patient and you emailed her you will no longer see her. You're just a pity and unprofessional person. I have no reason or gain to fib on my review. No adult who has a full time job can leave mid day, can you leave mid day if you have a surgery or appointments scheduled.. realistic answer is no. Save your time.

Both doctors are incredibly thoughtful and thorough. They take the time to carefully evaluate Teddy's condition, explain treatment options clearly, and ensure that every step of the process is handled with care and attention. Their dedication truly made a difference. After everything Teddy went through, he is now doing much better and finally feeling comfortable again. I also want to recognize the amazing technicians and front desk staff. They are always professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Finding a good vet that is at a privately owned hospital has been a challenge and after reading their website and hearing good things from a couple of colleagues, I drove over an hour each way for appointments with each of my dogs. I saw Dr. Cauvel and was very impressed with his knowledge, he recognized it was better for me to handle my super excitable malinois vs have her go into the back for her vaccination, and most importantly, when I presented him with a more complex issue on one of my dogs and I presented my thoughts, he didn't treat me like my background was somehow a threat like I have experienced before. He went out of his way to review some information and photos I emailed after the appointment and we decided on what to try. I was really thrilled with my experience with this vet at this practice with both of my dogs, and despite the drive will definitely be coming back for future needs.

I strongly advise against trusting this clinic with any major surgery. I brought my rescue cat here…read morefor treatment of nose cancer, which they had already diagnosed as being present throughout his entire nose. Despite this, they completely ignored one side of his nose during treatment and committed multiple acts of severe professional negligence. 1. Failure to Follow Agreed Treatment Plan: I paid for and consulted on an aggressive, complete nose removal. The consulting veterinarian explicitly stated that the surgery "would be a waste" unless the entire nose was removed because leaving any cancer behind would cause it to return aggressively. Instead, a general practice surgeon--whom I was never permitted to speak with--made a unilateral mid-surgery decision to perform a minimal "scrape," leaving 2/3 of the tumor and visible cancerous bulbs intact. 2. Complete Violation of Informed Consent: If the surgeon did not feel capable or comfortable performing the agreed-upon nose removal once my cat was sedated, they had a strict medical and ethical obligation to call me from the operating room. By failing to contact me, they denied me my legal right to decline a substandard procedure, wake my cat up, and immediately transfer him to a qualified veterinary oncologist or specialist who could perform the surgery correctly. 3. Total Lack of Post-Operative Communication: When I picked up my cat after major surgery, the clinic provided absolutely zero communication or discharge instructions. I had to discover via text message that they failed to complete the agreed-upon service. They then falsely claimed the cancer was only on one side, directly contradicting their own previous diagnosis and what was clearly visible. Because of their failure to remove the tumor as promised, the cancer returned with extreme aggression. I had to euthanize my cat because this clinic robbed him of his only opportunity to receive a proper, complete surgery from a qualified professional. I have the full text message logs, emails, and images confirming this timeline. A formal complaint regarding this professional negligence and failure to obtain informed consent is being filed directly with the State Veterinary Board. Do not trust them with your animal's life. Response to owner : There is a fundamental difference between a "medically complex" adjustment and a complete change in surgical scope without owner consent. The explicit, documented purpose of Tom Tom's consultation was a complete nose removal. I was explicitly told by your staff that a partial removal or "minimal scrape" would not be effective given the aggressive nature of his cancer. Yet, while he was sedated, Dr. Eileen made the unilateral decision to pivot to a minimal scrape, leaving active cancerous bulbs behind, without ever calling me to get my informed consent. By failing to call me from the operating room, you denied me my legal right as a client to decline a sub-standard procedure. Had I been contacted, I would have immediately instructed the clinic to wake him up so I could transfer him to a qualified veterinary oncologist or specialist who was capable of performing the agreed-upon surgery. Furthermore, your clinic attempted to retain 100% of the funds for a complete nose removal until I forced accountability through a series of extensive emails. Your own text message records confirm that the surgeon only focused on one side of the nose, directly contradicting the agreed-upon treatment plan. This is a clear issue of professional negligence and a failure to obtain informed consent, not a misunderstanding of "expectations." I will not be having further private discussions with management to help cover up this clinic's lack of informed consent. The time for discussion was when Tom Tom was on the operating table. All further correspondence from me will be handled directly through the formal complaint I am filing with the State Veterinary Board.

Our family lost a dog right before Christmas in 2024. He began exhibiting concerning symptoms, and late at night, an appointment was made to bring him in the following morning. Unfortunately, he didn't make it through the night, and his unexpected passing was incredibly devastating to us, especially because my brother, his primary caretaker, was working out of state and not able to be there in his final moments. The next morning, shortly before the scheduled appointment, I called to let them know what happened and apologize that we would be missing the appointment on such short notice. The woman on the phone was so incredibly kind and compassionate. She comforted me and let me know that we could bring him to them, and they would arrange his cremation, if that is what we wanted. My mother and I loaded him into the back of her van, devastated, and she drove him to San Jose Animal Hospital. Upon her arrival, the staff members promptly came outside, loaded our sweet beloved boy onto a gurney and took him inside. They hugged my mother and showed her a level of love and compassion that truly moved her to tears. The subject of payment was not brought up once at this time. They spoke with my brother over the phone and let him know all of the available options that he had and assured him that everything would be taken care of. The cost was very reasonable, and a few weeks later, Major's ashes were delivered to us in a beautiful urn, with a handwritten note of sympathy, his collar, and a paw print they had taken, things we had never even thought about in our state of grief. I truly appreciate the love that was shown to us during this time. Its taken me a while to leave them a review, only because it is a very sore subject. If this is the level of care they showed to our dog in death, I can only imagine how they treat the living pets in their care. Thank you so much.

Idk why, but this dr doesn't care anymore and is a danger to animals. I want to scream at him for what he did. My cat was having issues so I took him in for a checkup. The checkup is 100$. I realized too late that this guy didn't even take my cats temperature or look in his mouth which they are SUPPOSED TO DO. If he had bothered to do that and not been a lazy jerk my cat might still be alive. I will never forgive you. I hope people take what I'm saying seriously and find another vet. My cat apparently had ulcers in his mouth and a severe tooth infection which would have been caught if he LOOKED IN HIS MOUTH FOR TWO SECONDS. Before this the first red flag that I saw happened and I should have listened to my gut and found someone else. My other cat is blind and does not / cannot groom herself very well. She is also aggressive, so the only time I can get her butt area completely shaved without her being stressed is when she's under for her teeth cleanings. This office agreed and promised me that they would do it. I told them I would find another office if they were uncomfortable because my cat needs this for her health, and they PROMISED. Even when I dropped her off I asked again and they said they made a note and again promised. When I went to pick her up they didn't do it. This made me worried they didn't even clean her teeth because they didn't even give me an update. They did remove a mole I asked them to, but how am I supposed to trust that they cleaned her teeth? Also, her butt hadn't been cleaned either and I had to cause her enormous stress doing it because of her aggression to being brushed / shaved. It might not sound like a big deal, but it is. That was absolutely not okay, but I decided everyone has off days and to continue to go to this dr. Never again. Keep your animals safe and find someone else.

Over the years, I think the practice got bigger and they expanded to the Winchester location. Now anytime we come to this location or the Winchester one, we never see Dr. Solomon and it's always another vet or a tech. There's too many different people at the front desk, so no one really knows what's going on. They definitely upcharge for medication so I would recommend getting it elsewhere (there are lots of online services for that). They also upcharge for vaccinations. We like to use VIP petcare for vaccinations, there are multiple locations in the area and the cost is like a third of what Archvet charges. When our dog had a life threatening infection last year, we rushed her to Archvet and was told she needed surgery in the next 24 hours, otherwise she would need to be put down. They quoted us $12,000 for the surgery. I was flabbergasted they would try to take advantage of an emotionally sensitive time and I wouldn't be surprised if they did this to every client. I scrambled and did research, found Warm Springs Vet in Milpitas, who did the surgery for $4000 instead. Crazy, right? The latest issue was submitting a fecal sample over 2 weeks ago and not hearing back. I had to call and all of a sudden, we finally get an email with the results. They've let me down in big and small ways over the last few years. Unfortunately, we can no longer trust them to take good care of our pets and provide reasonable prices.
