    Dr Carolyn Yang-- Hero Extraordinaire
    Catherine V.

Silicon Valley hosts some of the top professionals in the world. Dr. Carolyn Yang is one of them. My cat had a complicated abscess repair. He's a service animal, and I almost lost him. I can't imagine living in this world without my best friend. This clinic contracts with agencies that help the less fortunate. Dr. Yang can juggle several emergencies at once without missing a beat. She is grace under pressure. Fluffy & I will live to see another day, together. I couldn't be more happy or grateful. Thank you, Dr. Yang!

Dr. Yang and staff are the best, very knowledgeable and professional. We have been coming to Ark Veterinary for almost a year now and always leave knowing my cat, Bella is well taken care of. Highly recommend them for your fur babies .

They were nice and handled my doggy carefully, the appointment was easy to make and available right away. The staff was professional and the vet was knowledgeable. I brought my 15 year old Chihuahua in for a check up after a seizure episode. Recieved free nail trimming as well.

Our 3 fur babies have becoming here for years. 2 of our pups have had all major life saving surgeries/procedures here and this is our only go to clinic for all our emergency situations and we haven't but most likely will transition from our other vet for preventative care to Ark also. This is an all in one clinic and they always have an appointment available within reasonable time and I can't even tell you, how much I appreciate them staying open till 9pm. It always makes for people like me that work till 6pm and Saturdays to get an appointment without waiting weeks out. Shout out to my buddy, Christian, all the rest of the staff and Dr. Chalat! I adore that they put my fur pups health and well being with all their appointments. We have always had positive and wonderful experiences with Ark. Gizmo, Bella, and Tiko thank you guys and appreciate all of Ark staff too!

I had to bring my cat into for an emergency exam because it seem like his eyes were acting up and he also seemed like he had worms. I called and I was able to bring my cat in immediately for $90. They were able to check him in fast

I highly recommend ARK! My daughter has taken her cats and I've taken my dogs for routine appointments as well as emergency care. The vets are gentle, experienced, and caring. I'm so thankful I found ARK! A special acknowledgment for Mila, who did the initial check in and took vitals. She, too, was patient and caring. Wonderful staff all around.

The doctors and techs are great. We have brought in multiple foster dogs, and they are always accommodative, timely and extremely helpful. Dr.Yang is our favorite, but everyone we've met has been been very helpful and great to work with.

I cannot begin to explain the amount of empathy and care their team gave to my entire family in this process. Since our baby was 100+ pounds it was hard for my elderly father to help carry him. In response to this their team was waiting for Hopper with a gurney and took over to make the whole process somewhat easier on us. Even being away, they let me do some of the paperwork over the phone so our family did not have to be there longer than they needed to be. My father told me about how exceptional their crew was that night and how much compassion they had for Hopper and our family. If you were working the day of 2/19 around 4AM, your kindness truly touched us and made us feel safe leaving our baby in your hands. I can't begin to thank you enough from the bottom of my heart.

am so genuinely disappointed and frustrated with this establishment…read more I took my cat in to see a vet on April 9th and met with Dr. Letsinger at the time. After some initial tests were run, I was informed that, in order to understand why my cat was not eating and was vomiting his food when he did eat, an ultrasound would be needed. Long story short, $2,000 later, I was told that a deeper analysis was required via a biopsy. They did not have any open slots for this procedure for two weeks, and I was going to be on vacation during that time. Dr. Letsinger had prescribed an anti-nausea medication for my pet, but it was only a supply for a few days. She mentioned that if I needed more medication, I should let her know. I went on vacation for two weeks. My pet seemed back to himself again, so I felt comfortable leaving. I called them today, May 2nd, to schedule the second procedure and also let them know that my pet had started showing the same symptoms again. I asked if they could prescribe the anti-nausea medication once more. I was told that the only way they can prescribe a refill is if I bring my pet in again. This feels like a deeply frustrating and unfair policy, and it's difficult not to see it as driven by profit rather than care. I am honestly very disappointed in how this was handled.

*First time review, not about vet services but customer service*…read more I showed up here to book an appointment for my kitten who had a bump on her nose. I panicked despite taking her to my local vet (he told me to wait 2 weeks for the antibiotics to work before I do anything else). Long story short, I did end up pushing my appt out to wait, but with all my anxiety and pushing my appt out, the staff at Sage were very nice. They were understanding and I ended up cancelling all together because my vet was right, her bump did go away! 4 stars as they're quite expensive. A consultation just to see a doctor would have been $384 and they take a deposit of $96. I can see charging a lot for emergency but not a scheduled visit a week out. Anywho, luckily my sweetheart got better and I didn't have to take her in. Overall decent experience with their team.

After recently moving out of state, we realized our dog's medication was almost out and contacted the clinic for a refill. Instead of helping, we were told they "could not" refill the prescription because we now live out of state. This made no sense to us, especially since we were able to refill other prescriptions through our in state Costco without issue. We were then told our dog would need to come in for another visit before they would authorize anything, despite it not even being a full year since his last appointment. At that point, it honestly felt less about the health and well-being of our pet and more about forcing another office visit and collecting more money. What made the situation even worse was the way we were treated during the interaction. Jessica, Dr. Garcia's head nurse, was rude and spoke to us in a very condescending manner throughout the conversation. Instead of showing empathy or professionalism, she made the entire experience feel hostile and uncomfortable during an already stressful situation involving our dog's medication. When you are dealing with a pet that depends on medication, the last thing you expect is to feel dismissed and pressured financially. We trusted this clinic with our dog's care, but this experience completely changed our opinion. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone looking for compassionate or patient-focused veterinary care.

We initially thought it was a simple bladder infection and started antibiotics, but when that didn't work, we went back to the vet and discovered it was much more serious. They attempted to place a catheter, but it was unsuccessful, and we were referred out for surgery. I started calling everywhere, trying to find help. The quotes we received ranged anywhere from $8,600 to $15,000, which was overwhelming and honestly heartbreaking. After leaving the SPCA (where the front desk -- not the veterinarian -- suggested another option), we were told to go to VEG ER for Pets. From the moment we arrived, Tracy, Simon, Dr Lena, and the staff made the experience completely different. We were met with nothing but empathy, support, and clear communication. The staff, technicians, and doctors took the time to thoroughly explain everything -- our options, the risks, and what to expect. There was no pressure, just genuine care and transparency. As I write this, my baby is receiving the treatment he needs -- at a cost we can actually afford. I truly can't thank the team enough. And a special thank you to Arianna at the SPCA for pointing us in the right direction -- because of that recommendation, our dog made it through the weekend. If you're ever in a situation like this, this is the place you want on your side.

The first thing I noticed was that the building has an open floor plan. You walk in, it's very bright, and you see a bunch of examination tables all over the room, with some chairs next to them. There were some rooms spread out along the sides for Xray, private exam rooms etc but you will most likely be seen out in the open! The staff was very kind and upfront about costs and gave us an estimated bill before starting any work. We took an X-ray (didn't see much) and then they gave the medication to induce vomiting. It took awhile and we weren't sure it was going to work but sure enough my cat threw up everything and lo and behold the Parmesan cheese packet was found, mostly intact in three pieces. The staff gave the medication to reverse the vomiting effect and then after some time we were able to go home. The cat was pretty much back to normal when we got home! We were happy with the prompt and kind service and would recommend this emergency vet! It's probably not going to be cheap (our bill was like $800) but an emergency surgery would have been far worse!

Our most recent visit our cat got a sticky (glue) fly trap stuck to him, which may seem like a silly thing to bring a cat to emergency for... but the level of freaked out that he was, we were having difficulty handling him, and he was bleeding and we couldn't determine from where. I called to ask for advice on how to handle the situation, which they gladly gave. The person at the front desk even called me back after she talked to a technician and had additional information for me! We ended up taking him in, as we just couldn't get things under control on our own and he was clearly in a lot of pain. A technician took him back to assess him quickly, got him cleaned up, located the source of the bleeding and cleaned his wounds. And of course he was an angel for her... (why can't he be like that for me?!?!). Once again, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. They never minimize what you're dealing with... if they thought it was silly reason to be there, they sure didn't make it seem that way to me. They took our concerns seriously and were very supportive, and took excellent care of our cat. The other thing I really appreciate with the team here is that they aren't trying to add on or charge for unnecessary services. Costs are explained clearly and feel very fair. I haven't once felt like they were taking advantage of the emergency nature of a situation. Again... really good people here.

First, I want to acknowledge that the staff were kind, gentle, and clearly cared about both me and my cat. During an incredibly emotional time, they treated us with empathy, and I'm grateful for that. However, my cat was in renal failure, and I don't feel that I was ever given a clear or honest understanding of how serious her condition truly was. I was repeatedly told that her situation was treatable, particularly once she started eating again. She ended up staying there for three nights, and while I was told she had begun eating at the clinic, when I brought her home she still wasn't eating and was in very poor condition. What's most difficult for me is that she passed away the day after I brought her home, after I had spent nearly $16,000 on her care. Looking back, I strongly wish someone had been more candid with me about her prognosis and whether euthanasia might have been the most humane option. I feel like I wasn't given the information I needed to make an informed decision about her end-of-life care. I don't doubt the compassion of the staff, but I do wish there had been clearer communication and more medical guidance during such a critical time. For anyone going through something similar, I would encourage asking very direct questions about prognosis and quality of life, as I wish I had been guided more firmly in that direction.
