My sweet little toy poodle adopted from Toy Breed Rescue
ChaChaCha ..

I've adopted two dogs from Loree over the past 8 years. I even bring my dogs back to Boulevard Pet Hospital for their on-going care because Loree and Dr. Schwartz are genuinely concerned about what is best for the dogs. For Skyttle D/Jennifer, the Asian woman who complained about Loree, I am Asian and don't feel she treats me differently than anyone else. Please don't play the race card, it doesn't lend credibility to your review.

My sweet little shih tzu, Charlie (formally Barnaby). Thank you, Toy Breed Rescue!

I had a wonderful experience here adopting my dog, Charlie (formerly Barnaby). I spoke with his foster mom before going to meet him in person and take him home. We were allowed plenty of time together to ensure we would be a great pair. The adoption fee included a harness, collar, leash, microchipping, neutering, health records, as well as helpful pamphlets and coupons. This rescue is connected with Boulevard Pet Hospital so you know the animals are well cared for. I took Charlie in for a check up and he was so excited to see everyone on the staff! Thanks so much to Loree and team for my new family member!

This is Teddy adopted from Toy Breed Rescue.

I adopted Teddy aka Bugsy in September 2012 from Loree. He was a one year old, Lhasa mix. I saw Teddy's pic posted at Toy Breed Rescue website, and felt in love with him. I called Loree immediately to get more information about Teddy. When Loree called back and interviewed on the phone, she asked me lots of questions and tried to find out if I am a responsible owner. At that moment, I felt so disappointed because I was screening by her and had to answer all the questions that she was asking. My hope was going down to zero, as I thought she will reject me. Then, she wanted me to call back at 3:00P.M on the same day to chat further. When I called her again, she did not answer the phone. So I had to leave her a message. Finally Loree called. She scheduled to meet with me on Saturday morning at Martinez humane Society, parking lot area. When she arrived, she did not ask me any more questions, she just handed the dog and wanted me to take a walk around the parking lot with Teddy. After the walk, I brought Teddy home, and adopted him. That's simple. After I adopted Teddy, I realized Teddy is eating really, really fast. I emailed Loree asking for advice. She wrote back immediately and instructed me to purchase a special bowl for Teddy. The special bowl will help Teddy to slow down. I kept contacting Loree for help about Teddy; I realize Loree is very knowledgeable about dogs, and willing to offer her help at any time and guide me what to do. She followed up with me about Teddy's improvement. Now, Teddy with me is almost 8 months, he is so cute and adorable. He does not have any negative behaviors issue at all, except a fast eater. However, his eating habit is slow down a lot. The special bowl is working well for him as making him eating slowly. I am glad that I adopted Terry from Loree, a caring foster home. I definitely recommend all my friends to Loree if they are looking for a pet. Loree deserves five stars! :) Hooray, Loree!

We adopted Murphy (Manny) last Saturday while you were at Milpitas Humane Society. Our family is complete :-)

My husband and I were at the Milpitas Humane Society on Saturday and met Loree who had a beautiful 4 year old Shih Tzu named Manny . It was love first sight. We brought our pitbull/shepherd back for a meet and greet with him and that sealed the deal . We brought him home that day to his forever family. We renamed him Murphy . And he has brightened our lives in such a short few days. He is a very mild mannered well behaved little man . Loree was very informative . You could tell she wanted to make sure that this little guy was a perfect fit . He is adored and it feels like he's always been with us . Bella is very happy to have another furry friend .Thank you Loree for all the love and care you put into these little treasures.

Aimee (was Hazel). Adopted December 2012.

Do you have multi poos, cava poos or any poodle mix? Lost my poodle bichon in Jan & am allergic to dander.

Adoption Fee for a Dog here?

Paid $300 per dog with our last transaction. That included immunizations, being fixed, and micro chip. We got a Yorkie (pure breed) and Toy Poodle (pure breed) so I feel like we totally got a deal on our pups.

I had been looking online for different animal rescue shelters to adopt a puppy. I tried emailing…read moreand calling a bunch of different places around the bay area, and they either took took weeks to respond, or didn't respond at all. A lot of times, the staff who I did get ahold of was really unhelpful. Enter, CARE Pets. They responded quickly and answered all my questions and I was able to see my puppy within a week. I was glad to hear that CARE pets fosters all their pets and then brings them to the adoption events on the weekends. JoAnn, who fostered my new puppy, was extremely helpful and walked me through the whole adoption process via email, then in person. All the staff and volunteers there are really friendly and they have a lot of cute dogs to adopt! And I love how if an owner is unable to take care of their pet anymore, CARE pets asks the owners to bring the pets back and not to give the dog away or give it to the pound. That makes me feel great about all the dogs that they manage and look after. If you're looking to adopt a puppy in the South Bay area, I highly recommend CARE pets!

I cannot say enough nice things about the people involved in this organization…read more We adopted our dog from here 5 years ago. We try to bring him in to visit his former foster mom every year or two. The people who foster these dogs are truly special, they save so many lives and make sure that the animals go to the right home. Cat Glass and her mother are heroes for broken dogs. They nurse them back to health, and give them all the love and affection you could possibly give a pet. They saved our pooch's life, and I will be eternally grateful. If you want to rescue a pup, this is a great place to do it.

*First time review, not about vet services but customer service*…read more I showed up here to book an appointment for my kitten who had a bump on her nose. I panicked despite taking her to my local vet (he told me to wait 2 weeks for the antibiotics to work before I do anything else). Long story short, I did end up pushing my appt out to wait, but with all my anxiety and pushing my appt out, the staff at Sage were very nice. They were understanding and I ended up cancelling all together because my vet was right, her bump did go away! 4 stars as they're quite expensive. A consultation just to see a doctor would have been $384 and they take a deposit of $96. I can see charging a lot for emergency but not a scheduled visit a week out. Anywho, luckily my sweetheart got better and I didn't have to take her in. Overall decent experience with their team.

Our experience with this clinic has been extremely disappointing. Dr. Ryan Garcia diagnosed our dog…read morewith a lifelong condition that requires ongoing medication. After recently moving out of state, we realized our dog's medication was almost out and contacted the clinic for a refill. Instead of helping, we were told they "could not" refill the prescription because we now live out of state. This made no sense to us, especially since we were able to refill other prescriptions through our in state Costco without issue. We were then told our dog would need to come in for another visit before they would authorize anything, despite it not even being a full year since his last appointment. At that point, it honestly felt less about the health and well-being of our pet and more about forcing another office visit and collecting more money. What made the situation even worse was the way we were treated during the interaction. Jessica, Dr. Garcia's head nurse, was rude and spoke to us in a very condescending manner throughout the conversation. Instead of showing empathy or professionalism, she made the entire experience feel hostile and uncomfortable during an already stressful situation involving our dog's medication. When you are dealing with a pet that depends on medication, the last thing you expect is to feel dismissed and pressured financially. We trusted this clinic with our dog's care, but this experience completely changed our opinion. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone looking for compassionate or patient-focused veterinary care.
