I came in for a pedicure and luckily the place was completely empty around 3 pm on a Tuesday. The chairs are modern and oh so relaxing! The videos on the TVs were also very entertaining and not loud. All of the workers were aside in their break room or the back I imagine so I felt 100% relaxed for the first time in years while at a nail salon. The gentleman did an amazing job with the pedicure. He even put some fast drying spray because I was a bit impatient and had to go. They are super friendly though. I will most likely make this place my new nail home. read more

WOAH! I used to come here all the time in high school and college with my friends and we loved it. When I came in today it smelled really bad but I know different foods can make a place smell so whatever. Then when he was doing my nails they were all crooked and he just kept making them worse. Then he was mad when I pointed them out. I tried to be as nice as possible. After the second time I told him how sorry I was but they were still not right. He literally handed me the file and said "then do it yourself" and I just left I'm so sad. They used to have great people in here like a couple years ago. read more

I always get French, or pink and white SNS. Everytime that I switch it up and get a color, I never end up loving it. I thought I would be brave today. And so the story goes... it's not the same shade as what was on the sample swatches. When I walked in today and noticed that the place was packed, I felt at ease that people loved them. The gal who signed in after me asked how long the wait was and they said an hour. Wrong! Not only were they way off on the estimated wait time, they were seating appointments ahead of the ones waiting. I get it, they had appointments, but it's the staff's fault for not factoring in those appointments when estimating the wait time. Ok, I'll get off of my soapbox now. While sitting two hours waiting, I decided to go with something easier than white tips, so that's the real reason why I ended up choosing a light pink color. I had SNS pink and white on when I came in. The gentleman who did my nails, mentioned twice soaking my nails (for the removal process), but he actually ended up filing my existing SNS down and covered over and filled in with the light pink that I chose. I asked, "is this a fill-in"? He said no, but since my SNS was clear once he trimmed them down, that it was ok to layer it. Ummmm, ok. I never go with color, so I went along with it, he's the professional. He ends up only used two coats of the SNS powder, still I was thinking that would be normal since I had existing SNS under the coats. Since the color wasn't the same as the swatch, I questioned him again. In the end, my old base coat apparently changed the color result of the one that I chose. I almost hate it. It's almost an orangish tone. Uggg. Not happy! read more

Was quoted 10-15 min wait time. 40 min later the guy takes my polish off and tells me they don't have the service I requested. Agreed on a similar service, waited 25 more minutes. I've been coming here for a couple of months now. Thea has been doing my nails, I always get the S&S powder. It's 30.00 for both the S&S and the gel mani. The color selection they have always boggles my mind! Decisions decisions! Lol. Which will last me between a month and 5 weeks. The first time I went I had broken a nail she put an acrylic tip on for me and didn't charge me for it. The last time I went I was going to get a gel mani and Thea told me its not going to last as long because my nails are thin which is true. I do recommend making an appointment which I always do, since I tend to go on a Friday late afternoon or Saturday around noon. I've never had a long wait time to get my nails done. I also recommend requesting Thea, she's great! It's super convenient for me because I literally live less then 10 minutes away . They take Visa, Master Card and Discover. read more

Haii I'm Baylee I'm 10 years old. I wanted to rate and say my experience at golden nails! My granny got my nails done and they look SUPER PRETTY! They are Halloween themed. The lady that did them was super kind and she did not hurt me at all! They can put a lot of different designs on the nails! I have a spider on my middle finger. A spiderweb on my ring finger. And a monster on my pointer finger. It's the same on the other hands to! I think you should definitely let your kids get their nails done here. It's super cute! They was very easy with me and did not mess up AT ALL! I have mine black. Definitely going here more often! They look super real. For the rating definitely a 5! I would do 10. read more

I don't get my nails done often, so this was a really nice treat for what I think was a reasonable price ($30 for SNS + $10 for manicure) I think the nails were done nicely! The ONLY complaint I have is sanitation. I know most shops reuse nail boards, but I think it's a bit unsanitary. Some of the brushes didn't look completely cleaned out and there were nail tools that were laying around (which doesn't seem to fit perfectly with sanitary codes). I know it's a bit picky and not everyone cares. read more

I wanted to wait on posting a review to see how long my gel manicure would last. Well, I am 3 weeks in and my nails still look incredible. I am new to the Lexington area and have tried three other local salons before this one, dissatisfied with the quality of each previous manicure. I have been here many times. The staff is pleasant, professional, and they are fantastic at SNS nails. I've never waited more than 30 min as a walk in. However, the staff will ask you if you'd like to schedule an apt for later if you walk in and they think it will be a long wait. The place is always clean and uncluttered. My favorite nail salon in town for sure. read more

I was so upset when I got to the salon today. I wanted to try this nail salon since it is closer to home but when I got there at 6:20 it was already closed even though their hours say It closes at 7pm. I doubt that I will ever try to get nails done there. read more
