I was hurting and had called a couple of places in woodland one said come in now and when I got there they said oh you wait 30-50 minutes other customer returning go first. Yeah no. So I recalled coming to Golden massage a year ago when my husband first passed away. So I called they took me right in when I got to Davis and the gentleman that performed my massage was fantastic. Service was as close to perfect as possible. Price is good and environment is clean and comfortable. Never had a male massage therapist but I felt comfortable and he was amazing. I can here with my wife to get 2 30 minute massage they started fairly late and once they got started, they started to rush the massage. They ended up really hurting me. She kept brushing out of the room and was upset towards the end when she went to go grab a hot towel where she left the scorching hot towel on my back for several seconds and burnt me pretty bad and she said" hotter is better" after she wipe down the oil she realize she had more time left and gave me a dry massage and then pursuit it to smack me really hard on the back my wife was concerned after we got out of the rooms. She was pressuring me to give a tip after her, giving me a discount and was unsatisfied with my tip and pursued to yell in front of me to her other coworker honestly, I don't recommend this place. read more

WORST MASSAGE EVER. From the time we arrived we were forced to prepay, which is fine, as long as the paid service matches the time paid for. (It was not) we get in, they rush my girlfriend to the room. This was her first massage so she kept some of her clothes on. As did I. Halfway through the massage they pull our underwear down forcefully and start working on our butts despite our discomfort. I am also recovering from a car accident and specifically asked for my left arm and right leg to be worked on less, as they are still broken. She laughed at my request and immediately started working on those areas I told her to be light on. She was not light. Every time I asked her to lessen the pressure, she talked back to me. At the end of our visit, they tried to force us to tip. By all means; go here if you want to feel violated and taken advantage of. read more

Been seeing Sophia for deep tissue massage and she is one of the few l've found that practice some of the deep tissue standing moves on the hamstrings back and shoulders. Definitely great for athletes and active people. She is a little distracted at times but that goes with running a business and overall the massage is great for the price read more

I had an appointment yesterday and when I got there they asked me to wait, which I was fine with. After waiting 20 minutes they tell me that she won't be able to make it and to come back tomorrow. I return the next day to a mediocre massage with someone lightly stroking my back up and down with her palms. I politely ask for someone else that could do it a bit firmer & she tells me that her thumbs are broken and that she needs to go to the doctor later (WTH?) and that there is nobody else there that can give a massage. We agree on cutting it to 30 minutes and I left a 20% tip even though I wasn't happy with the service there, figuring she might just be overworked. I hand her $30 for 30 min (it was supposed to be $50 for 1 hour) and they have THE NERVE to demand that I owe them $40 since I changed it to 30 minutes. I cut it short because the masseuse was unable to use her fingers. The best part? When I argued with them, she had the nerve to challenge me to work there myself and see what hard work it is. She then told me I can go find somewhere else to go next time because she has plenty of customers. I just left 30 on the table and walked out. Not worth the money at all. Unprofessional, and very pushy. I came for a promotion and when I got there this one woman said they were having that promotion and then at the end they charged me for the regular price and said that the first woman was a mistaken. I tried to argue it, and they refused. So I ended up paying the regular amount. Not a friendly environment either. Better off somewhere else. read more

The massages offered at Golden Massage are absolutely amazing. I've had knots that they have made disappear and there have been no reoccurring problems. I've also suffered from various injuries and without fail, Angela has been able to relieve the pain which helped with the healing. Would highly recommend Golden Massage. This is the first scathing review I've ever had to write on Yelp. I feel a responsibility to warn other people about what they're getting at Golden Massage. I had a VERY negative experience here. I decided to give Golden Massage a try because they would be open after I finished work, they were nearby, and I *thought* that they were reasonably priced. I had to wait 30 min. after I arrived even though I had booked an appointment for 5pm. It was unprofessional, but I didn't complain. I tried to empathize instead since the owner said they were busy. While walking over to their building, I saw two advertisements for them on the sidewalk that said "full body massage $39.99". Fast forward to when it's time for me to pay, and she points to a sign inside and says "It'll be $45." I thought that was odd, but didn't complain. The worst and most infuriating part is that when I tipped my masseuse $5, she stood there and demanded that I tip $10 instead. First of all, I'm not obligated to tip at all. It's a courtesy, and rather than showing gratitude or offering me a discount for being a student and first time customer, they bullied me into paying a $10 tip before leaving. I have never been so disgusted. I feel like a fool. I could have purchased a nicer massage from a professional place like Massage Envy instead, which seems to have nicer facilities and timeliness. I'm sure that they also consult the customer on problem areas before starting there. At Golden Massage they just jump into it, there is no conversation of "are there certain areas you'd like to focus on? What kind of massage would you like to have?". It was incredibly unprofessional and absolutely ruined the experience for me. I write this review to warn other innocent Yelpers. Golden Massage is NOT honest about their prices, and apparently they expect you to pay their employees for them. I'm never coming back and I'll be sure to warn all my friends about this place too. I would've rather spent $55 on a professional massage in a clean place rather than a hole in the wall that tricks customers. Shame on them. read more

The gal never told me her name but she made my back feel so amazing. I tweaked something and could barely walk, one hour later I was good as new. The massage was about a 6/10. The masseuse was talking to the staff while giving me a massage and was talking loudly. I paid in cash upon arriving. The masseuse then asked me to give her a tip, which shocked me a bit. I was only going to give her $5 tip. I handed her a $20 and she insisted I give her $10. I told the lady that $5 was sufficient (I did not feel the need to explain that I thought the massage was subpar) and I even told her I would come back with change. She kept begging for me to give her the $10 tip. I was fed up at this point and took the change and walked out without saying a thing. I would not recommend this place at all. read more

I booked a massage for this evening, and Angela was very accommodating and was able to book my cousin and myself on a moments notice. Within 40 minutes we were both able to go in and just get a quick 30 minute massage each. I'm looking forward to my next massage which will definitely be an hour! read more

Went there with my wife to get a couples foot massage and it was fantastic. The foot massage was only 30 dollars for each of us and they had really big comfortable chairs to relax in. They soaked our feet in hot water and what I think was salt that they added not sure, but it was funny because one lady thought the water was too hot and said Americans dont like their water that hot, which she then proceeded to add some cold water to the soak. This being my first foot massage I found it quiet enjoyable. They did a really good job getting us relaxed and easing the tension away. The environment was very homey and relaxing and they play soothing music. I highly recommend this place for a foot massage. read more

OMG this place is old and dirty! The massage table had this old bath towel that I was supposed to get undressed and lay under. Against my better judgement I stayed and gave it try...telling myself maybe the massage will be really good. During my massage I could hear loud music and conversation from next door. At one point I could hear kids running and screaming outside. The massage person was mediocre at best and at one point just stopped and left me on the table while she went outside to talk to someone. I should know better when I drove up to this place...it was in the back street behind some buildings. read more
