My apologies to this business, luckily it's only been about a week before I realized my mistake. Here's one for Penny specifically. One of the best masseuse I've ever had. Always clean, cozy and comfortable. Great online booking system too.

They are happy to make suggestions for the type of care you should receive based on your specific needs and goals of care. I have pretty intense chronic pain that cannot be entirely managed by painkillers, but thanks to my regular visits here in conjunction with medicine, my pain stays at a manageable level. I typically see Caitlin and the care she provides is exceptional! I feel valued as a client and as a person here. Absolutely give this place a try!

If I could give Emily 10 stars out of 5, I would…read more I have had three massages by Emily so far, and each time was pure relaxation, grounding, stillness, and peace. After my first massage, I knew that I wanted to see Emily regularly. I've had quite a few massages in the past, but they all seemed to be missing something; after my first massage with Emily, I felt a deep level of peace and groundedness that I had been yearning for after all of those past massages but never could find. First, Emily herself radiates a powerful energy of peace, warmth, and compassion. You feel that she genuinely cares about you and your wellness, and wants to understand you and what you want for yourself. She is very patient, and very kind. She is also very communicative and quick to respond to a question or request you may have, and is also very accommodating if you need to reschedule. Second, she gives wonderful massages. They are the right amount of pressure--firm but not crushing, but not too gentle that you don't feel any release in your muscles. They focus on your whole body, from your feet to your ears to your face and head (something that I have never received from past massages, which would focus heavily on just one area of my body [mostly my back], even though I never specified a focus point). As she combines elements of Swedish massage, Thai massage, Shiatsu, Reiki, and other techniques in her style, her massages truly stand apart. I feel so blessed to have found Emily, and I intend on going to see her regularly for as long as I can.

As a new mom in the postpartum stage, I was looking for some much-needed relaxation and self-care,…read moreso I decided to try Zen Day Spa for my first-ever head spa treatment. I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and felt welcomed. The spa had a peaceful, calming atmosphere that immediately helped me relax. Before the treatment started, we did a hair and scalp analysis, which I found really informative. The specialist showed me the condition of my scalp, explained what she observed, and discussed what my hair might be lacking and ways to improve its health. Afterward, I was taken to a private room and provided with a robe. The treatment began with a hair wash and the specialized water therapy used during head spa treatments. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect since it was my first time, but the experience was incredibly soothing. I also received a massage on my head, neck, and arms, which made the treatment even more relaxing. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and like I had finally taken some time for myself. My hair felt noticeably softer and healthier afterward as well. My only suggestion would be that I wish the water therapy portion lasted a little longer because it was one of my favorite parts of the experience. Overall, I had a wonderful first head spa experience and would happily return.

Little did I know how much my life was going to change! The instructors were all long-time practitioners with solid experience in both practice and teaching - no recent grads of the school with little to no practice experience. While I didn't adore all of them, the instruction was top-notch, and I knew I could rely on the tools they gave me. Another important aspect of education for me was ethics, and the school imbued us with a strong grounding in treating bodywork as a profession and encouraging us to put client care first. My fellow students had lots of different goals, from medical massage to sports and deep tissue, energetic work - a great range of interests and we shared our plans for the future. It's been 8 years and I'm still in touch with a good number of them. I continue to take CE classes and return to repeat classes in modalities I love, just for the joy of being in class with teachers I respect and students who are invested in learning from the best. I can't recommend them enough, from the owner and staff to the students who push themselves to go further, work better, and be a credit to bodyworkers everywhere. If you pick MTI for your education, you'll be very glad you did!
