The best Chinese I've ever had in Missouri the chicken taste so good with the fried rice

Very unsanitary My friend and I went in one evening and not even 30 minutes after eating the bacon covered shrimp he violently puked up everything he had after eating here. We used to come here and get full and be happy. Today, we arrived around 4:30 and the first thing I tried was the egg drop. A big no go as it was bland with no seasoning. Next was the fried shrimp, it was ok. Next was SOS's and sesame seed chicken. These also had no taste. Pushed that plate aside and tried some other items. Got some noodles which had broth that had no flavor. Next was an egg roll and chicken wings which were also bland and are usually go to items. Lastly was the coconut shrimp which seemed mushy and undercooked. We mentioned our disappointment to the staff which was not the normal. Note: The ladies there are always eager to please and kind. They only charged us for one meal which we appreciated. I hope the restaurant makes some changes to get back where they used to be. read more

I hate doing this. Food is good for all you can eat. The price of a to go is the same as all you can eat. Now the staff-- other than one nice sweet woman that works here. The rest are not very nice no smiles. I felt like just coming in was too long and an inconvenience. I said thank you many times no reply. My son said hi to 2 workers no response from them. read more

I dined solo here and found the staff very welcoming and accommodating. The food was prepared in quite a variety of familiar Chinese ways... from the usual beef with broccoli to savory noodles and even crayfish, a regional favorite. In my experience in terms of picante levels, it's all on the mild side, which I view as a plus. While I rarely do anything like add flavors to Chinese food (because it's already abundant in them), this mild of intensity I think could tolerate diners boosting the pepper-heat to their preferred intensity. With their wide assortment of dishes on the economical (under $10) buffet, I resolved to bring a nearly-local (Gladstone area) Chinese food-loving (and value-loving) Mexican friend here for lunch or dinner. I'm confident that I'll return. Just like some of the best ever Chinese spots I've enjoyed, this is authentic and cooked with obvious skill and attention to both taste and presentation. Well for one some of the food looks like it been sitting out all day. Two.. The bathrooms are nasty. Looks and smells like they have not been cleaned in days. I had to use the bathroom and I about puked from the very bad smell. Either it was the toilet, or the sewer or rotten food was nearby. I called the clay county Missouri health department on them. the lady said they get complains all the time. from this place. and said not another one! and laughed. We got there late, so this may not be a completely fair review, since I've read that it is sometimes hit and miss there. Food was OK, what you would expect in an average Chinese buffet... Nothing special. I did appreciate the self-serve hard ice cream choices... strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. How cool is that? Service was excellent, even though we came at closing time, they accommodated us and asked if we needed anything else from the buffet. Very nice people. And courteous! We came in around 1pm for a late lunch. The buffet didn't look very fresh as there were not many eating from it. I decided to order from the regular cook to order menu & wasn't disappointed! My son ordered the shrimp with mixed veggies in brown sauce from lunch combo menu which came with soup & a side/appetizer of choice & fried rice for $5+ . Portions were large for the price. I ordered off the regular menu the twice cooked pork & it was delicious! The sauce was very good. We added a side of the shrimp spring rolls & we ate until our bellies were full & had plenty to take home. Not the worst buffet ever. But bad enough. My advice is to avoid most buffets Chinese or otherwise, and there was nothing about this one that made it better than any other. It gets 2 stars because the food they served us wasn't spoiled or burned, but even though we ordered from the menu they didn't prepare anything fresh for us, they just scooped it out of the buffet. read more

Pretty standard pricing, above average quality. Best chicken on a stick I've ever had. They don't cheap out on ingredients... I was actually full for the rest of the day. The General Tso's wasn't standard, but was very good, and I actually prefer their recipe. Excellent fried rice. This is my new Chinese food spot. read more

Stop for lunch as passing through town - strip mall spot, not much from outside, but lunch buffet was great! Everything was fresh & warm, good variety and refilled dishes often. Price was awesome for quality of food!! read more
