It has enough tables for you to sit comfortably and enjoy something to eat. They have plenty of options to enjoy and for the most part, the food is really good. Although they have had some bad days where the rice was not always good. I mean the specialties. Like the rice and bean mix, or the mixed rice with veggies, etc. The customer service has not always been that great as well. I do have to say I've had more good than bad. Unfortunately it is something you get use to living in the Bronx. All that being said I'm gonna give a thumb up on this one. Happy Yelping!

The seafood was fresh, the portion was generous, and the flavor was really good. The spice level was just right. Their lemonades are also a hit. I had a mango and passion fruit mix that was, delicious. It wasn't very busy, so the atmosphere was relaxed. Our server was friendly, answered our questions, and made great recommendations. I also liked that the music wasn't too loud, so it was easy to have a conversation. I'd definitely come back to this location.

We missed happy hour because it was over at 6 and we arrived at 6:30, she thought it was until 7pm, bummer for us. They also had no live dee jay like my last visit. We still decided to dine in anyway because she really had a taste for some seafood. I went ahead and ordered a mini shrimp boil along with some crab fries and a frozen drink that was not worth taking a picture. First off the crab fries did not have real crab meat and I was told it did, but once I ate around that, my fries were really crispy and tasty. Second my shrimp was not deveined because I ordered them with the head attached and my friend who didn't have the head attached, her shrimp was. Had I known this I to would have just ordered no head attached. It is a way to devein a shrimp with the head still attached to it, but I digress. After spending time trying to devein it myself, the shrimp was just ok. My corn was the best part of the boil, unfortunately it only came with one piece. My drink was just down right watery. It was not blended well and had no taste of alcohol. My server, who was very nice and friendly, gave me a free shot with it because the drink was just a hot mess. My overall experience to be honest. I don't care for this place and I really don't like seafood franchises. They seem to have some locations better than others but when it comes to the seafood itself, they really miss the mark. I'm glad that everything I received was a good price and really affordable, but I rather spend my money elsewhere. If you want to come because it is a big location to accommodate a large crowd, and your on a tight budget, well than sure I'd say try them but I would look for a better location, such as the one I went to in Yonkers, but this particular location, I would not recommend. So on that note Happy Yelping!

During the game, the restaurant got extremely crowded which made our experience not great. We waited over an hour for food and drinks. The kitchen was definitely overwhelmed. Ordered: Malt (~$4)…read moreMango Juice (~$5) Chicken Suya (~$15) Street Waakye (~$25): rice & beans served with gari, spaghetti, tomato stew and black sauce (shito); fried fish and goat stew Jollof Queen (~$25): spicy, well-seasoned tomato stew rice served with salad, sweet plantains, and chicken Aya's take: I'm a big fan of African cuisine and this was my first time at a sit-down Ghanian restaurant! They have a DJ so if you're looking to vibe while enjoying Ghanian food, this could be the spot. It was my first time trying Malt and the best way I can describe it is it tastes like molasses, slightly bitter, slightly yeasty but very mild overall. We started off with the Chicken Suya which was a bit dry and chewy but the suya seasoning made all the difference. It tastes like a blend of chili powder, ginger, garlic, onion powder, paprika, etc. It was a fine starter but definitely skippable. For entrees, we got the Street Waakye and Jollof Queen. I've had waakye (pronounced waa-che) before but this was pretty dry. The spaghetti was light and I actually liked that they used thinner noodles rather than the regular spaghetti. This dish comes with fried fish which was light, flaky, and moist. The real winner was the goat stew. I'm salivating just thinking about it! You get the essence of tomato, the tenderness and slight gamey flavor from the goat, and the thick and luscious sauce that was an explosion of flavors. I even dipped the boiled egg into the sauce which was unbelievably satisfying. The jollof rice from the Jollof Queen was cooked way better than the waakye. It was moist, well-seasoned, and didn't really need anything added to be good. I loved the sweet plantains and the chicken was also well-prepared. Considering how much jollof rice there was and that it was ~$25, they could've given more than 2 pieces of chicken. Overall, it was a pretty good meal! When the bill came, I saw there was an automatic 18% gratuity added which is totally fine considering we were a party of 7. However, they then pointed out that this wasn't tip and was a fee for "the table". I eat out a lot and never in my life have I heard of this. We ended up adding another 10% on top of that. They also charge a 3% credit card fee. I don't agree with them trying to squeeze out more money from customers who are already coming and spending money; this is definitely not the norm anywhere else I've been. Not too many restaurants in NYC serving Ghanaian cuisine but you'll enjoy some traditional dishes here.

This cafe is not just a neighborhood gem; it is a full-on destination, and it deserves every single person who walks through that door. From the moment you step inside, you feel it -- the warmth, the intentionality, the love that has been poured into every single detail. This isn't a place that just throws together trendy health food and calls it a day. Every item on the menu feels like it was crafted by someone who genuinely cares about what you put in your body and how good it makes you feel. Let's start with the Salmon Burger -- because nothing prepared me for how incredible this thing would be. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully textured, and packed with so much flavor you'd never believe it was also doing your body serious favors. This is the kind of meal that silences a table. People mid-conversation just stop and look at each other like, "okay, this is it." And the smoothies? Absolutely unreal. Thick, vibrant, bursting with fresh ingredients -- not that powdery, over-sweetened stuff you get at a chain. These taste like they were made with actual intention. Pair one with your meal and you'll understand why regulars come back every single day. The wraps and paninis deserve their own spotlight too. Generous, fresh, satisfying -- the kind of handheld meal you eat and feel genuinely good about. Not guilty, not heavy. Just nourished. Whether you grab a wrap on the go or sit down with a panini pressed to golden perfection, you'll be planning your next visit before you finish your first bite.
