I love Golden krust. It's one of the best Jamaican places in Conyers. It's truly the best food ever personally and anytime I go in therebI'm greeted with smiles and great service and the staff is so amazing to me. I always get the brown stew chicken every single time because nobody does it better than them read more

Listen I'm from Miami by way of Jamaican and Bahamian roots. I like to say that this is another subpar review of a Jamaican establishment in Atlanta. My food was tasty I ordered the curry goat with a jerk patty on the side of course. The day I went here must have been an off day. I maybe try again after I feel better but my stomach was destroyed. I don't know what happened but I'm being honest. There is something unsanitary about this place. Has anyone else experienced this? The service was great though, I was acknowledged and served. The food just wasn't ok. read more

We do Golden Krust pretty often, mostly via pickup orders and specifically this location. Our family (including extended) usually do large orders. Oxtail, Brown Stew, Curried Goat, Curried Chicken, rice & peas, veggies... lots and lots of patties! Bun & cheese... we are no strangers to Jamaican food as my mom is from Jamaica. The food is always good. The place is always packed (despite what the reviews might have you believe) and I've never had bad service. I was actually a bit surprised. I've also never seen the restaurant dirty despite the sheer volume they are handling on the daily. I'm sure they have off days, like any other place and maybe others really are having less than stellar experiences but that has not been my experience at all. Our large family keeps coming back and never the same person doing pickup orders so it's not just that we are a recognizable face. We don't even live close and it's worth the drive for us so, take this as you will. read more

Yelp rating use to be 5tars. now its low3. i guess somebody came in said we need to cut cost and save on money. Why else would you take roast chicken-put in the brown stew gravy and sell it as Brown Stew Chicken. Why would you put posters up -advertising lunch specials-but never offer it.. Oh! The poster is no longer current!! Okay GK its not like y'all cant go out of business read more

All Golden Crusts are not created equal. The food at this location is dependably delicious!!! Believe me, you won't be disappointed.

Was in town and felt for a beef pattie. Thankfully a fresh batch was just coming out of the oven! It was delicious! Flaky crust and seasoned filling. Yum! It was devoured pretty fast and didn't get to take a pic of it! read more

We stopped here for the patties. I ordered a vegetarian one and my daughter the shrimp. Both were ok. The crust was not flaky and the filling was mushy. The best things we ordered were the sorrel and the gizzada. Both were quite good. The think it's worth the trip for all of the other things sold in the shop from the bulla to the Excelsior crackers read more

the service was terrible. Everybody had an attitude didn't get welcomed in didn't ask me anything very disrespectful service.

Excellent food and service the atmosphere is chill some of the best beef patties you will find anywhere. A bit pricey but worth the money you spend. I will visit again. read more

Do not eat here. I purchased a spinach patty, ate half way through it and found a large piece of green plastic inside. I was sick for days. I also wrote the company via their corporate office about two weeks ago with a lack of response. Never again! read more

True the customer service isn't anything great however the food is DELICIOUS! I pick golden Krust over a ton of other Caribbean restaurants especially the one in conyers. I ordered the oxtail, rice and peas and cabbage..the usual. The oxtail was so soft and juicy and filled with flavor. Lordy Lordy that food was so good!!! I got a small serving and enough for lunch AND dinner! They have tons of option on food and drink. definitely recommend going if you want some good filling food. read more

I Usually love, love, love Jamaican patties. However, these patties left alot to be desired. Though they were nice and flaky they lacked filling. I am used to to the flaky, flavorful thoroughly filled mom n pop shop beef patties. I was really disappointed. Though I would steer away from the patties, I wouldnt mind trying some other dishes on the menu so that I can give them a thorough review. read more

I will get off the highway every time and travel for these patties. I love the fact that it has a drive-thru during this time. The staff is great, they always get my order right. The patties are the best you can get. I have yet to try one I did not love. I have become a fan of the jerk chicken and seafood patties. read more

I ordered a jerk chicken plate. The jerk was perfect, however the beans and rice was not. The rice tasted like sugar.

This was my was first time visiting this location. I heard so many good things and they were absolutely right. The curry chicken was delicious. Jerk pork, to die for and the stewed peas was absolutely delicious. I felt comforted and safe....lol. If you want some authentic Jamaican food, you need to stop by the Conyers location. Not all locations are built the same..... I found a new lunch spot read more

I've only eaten at the Covington/Conyers location once. That's for a reason. You only get one time to mess up my food. My daughters and I want Golden Krust. We usually go to the one by Stonecrest Mall. Since we are in Conyers now this one was a little closer. My daughter decided to go to this one. I had brown stew chicken, the girls either had oxtail or curry chicken. No one was happy with their food. My food had hard rice the gravy was kind of solidified and the chicken was not there. It was mostly bones and tasted a little burnt. I will not go back to this location again. I do not care how far I have to drive to get to the one by the mall. read more

Okay...not the BEST...just okay. The boyfriend, pops, and I went out for an afternoon drive and worked up a hunger. We decided to go to Golden Crust Bakery. We got two patties each- 3 spicy beef (6.30), 2 mild beef (4.20), and 1 chicken patty (2.15). We also ordered 2 kola champagnes (3.38) and 1 ginger beer (1.69). Total damage with tax was 18.96. The patties: A tad bit too crusty. The ratio of beef to crust was off, but the flavor was good on both the mild and spicy. Pops had the chicken and he liked it but again, thought it was too much crust. My suggestion is if you are not big on heat, opt for the mild! The drinks were bottled...My childhood fave has always been the kola champagne. They also serve traditional Jamaican food, but being that I am of Jamaican descent, I'm extremely choosy of the Carribbean food I eat that is not from mom or pops. The franchise had a score of 91 and the cleanliness of the place reflected it. All and all, I'd come here again for the patties, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to do so. read more

This was my first time getting Golden Krust, and out of fear, probably my last. I went yesterday and ordered the curried goat and jerk chicken. It was delicious, I can't lie. But when I woke up this morning with severe stomach cramps and vomiting, I knew I got food poisoning. I've never felt like this before, but this was the only place I ate at out of my normal routine. read more

Yesterday, I ordered two small oxtail dinners and a roti skin. They charged me $46.00. How is that even possible. I will not re-visit this place. This location just opened 5 weeks ago. I had never heard of this place before but apparently it's a chain and there are at least 4 or 5 more in the Atlanta area, 2 not too far from me. My mom and I were out and decided to change it up from our usually bugers and fries and both of us LOVE caribbean food! So we were surprised to find spot this place a few doors down from where we were. The inside was very nice and colorful. Definitely makes you feel like you're in some tropical getaway! She ordered the small jerk chicken meal which comes with choice or white rice or peas an rice, veggies, and plantains for $8.99. I ordered the small oxtails meal which also includes the same. I also ordered a beef patty (cause I haven't had one in so long), which all came out to about $25 and some change. Not gonna lie, I thought this was a little pricey. BUT the generous portions that give you and when you start eating, you forget, lol. Mom loved her chicken and I couldn't get enough of my oxtails. Although I wish they had given me a few more. By the time sifted through all the rice and ox tail gravy, I didn't have to many oxtails. The beef patty was excellent also! They definitely have a fan in me and I WILL be back! read more

I've been craving plantains and beef patties for months! I usually cook my own, but today I decided to give Golden Kristen a try. I ordered my snack. To my dismay, I was given five big, cold lumps of what I presumed to be plantains. The beef patties were tasty, but the plantains were cold and distasteful. I give 2 stars for the beef patties. The service was fast, but I was the only customer in line, besides one other lady. Sorry won't be going back, waste of money. I'll make my own from now on! read more

I thought I'd yelped this restaurant that I use to love. Well, I basically go in on Saturday now just for the soup. It's either, I don't get any meat or I don't get any dumplings, just potatoes. The customer service sucks. I'm not sleeping with your boyfriend or husband, why are you so salty with me. On my last 3 trips the kitchen was filthy, I just walked out. The kitchen door swung open and OMFG! It was filthy as filthy could be. I'm starting to believe it's always like this so I will just have to make my own authentic soup now. I use to live you, now I'll try your competitor. I'm hoping they can greet me properly with a clean kitchen. read more

The price has gone up drastically and now they are adding less food. I can't afford to eat there anymore. I wanted to support my brethrens.

My wife and I have been in the Conyers Golden Krust twice and if I had any complaint about the place....it's more food for the money than I can put in my stomach! Good food that you get to assist the lovely ladies behind the glass in choosing vegetables, rice, rice and peas; entrée and the variety of sauces to apply for a taste sensation. The first time in, a young man assisted us in the food choices and I was delighted to try Caribbean oxtails with rice & beans with gravy along with a mixed vegetable array with chopped cabbage (possibly kale) and delightfully crunchy (steamed) vegetables plus plantains. My wife enjoys the variety of pies and veggies for her meals. Today...for a first time venture...jerk chicken; rice & peas with mixed vegs and plantains. Oxtail gravy on the rice and the lovely lass behind the glass gave me a choice on the jerk sauces and then piled it on with a smile. Seeing jerk chicken being plated broke the spell for me as I'd always wanted to give it try at any of the places around the state...but it just didn't have the appeal until my visit at to the Golden Crust today, A very nice place; clean enough to suit my bride and dished out to your specs. The bill for the two of us....my "full meal" the small one at that; my wife's Chicken Pie and vegs was about $13.00. As I think about it, I was so loaded up on good food that I meant to put a few bucks in the tip jar...but staggered out to the car instead. I'll have to make a return visit soon....breakfast looks great on the menu...and make amends on the gratuity today. The ladies behind the counter were Island sweet in nature, speech and good words. As a musician, I enjoyed the solid mix of Caribbean and Gospel music being played and truly enjoyed watching and listening to the ladies singing the hymns in harmony while they worked...just completed the experience for us. I'm sure there are long time Conyerites that are missing the opportunity to try the food due to some stubborn lack of melding the demographics. As the sole Caucasians on our last two visits...I sincerely hope it's simply timing on our part and not some poor choices of giving this good food, hard working, sweet natured staff and clientele the benefit of any doubt. The food is great and a taste extravaganza and the best deal in Rockdale County. read more

I love Jamaican food. My entire family is Jamaican and sometimes I get really hungry for native food. My favorite meal here is the stew chicken.
