This is probably the most authentic Jamaican food I've had in Conyers. The service is quick, even when the line is long, and the cook is always bringing out fresh food. It's a small establishment with limited seating. Alright, the vibe was good for me on this island! Walked in music was good, lady behind the counter was let's just say as nice as you expect! What you want but with a serious look! I gave her the layup of it's my first visit and she took it! Food was fresh, nice portion, but wasn't cheap folks. Ordered large plates, jerk chicken and curry chicken. I am so disappointed with my food! I spent $50 on oxtails, and the taste is not right, and it can't be the same cook from the last time I was there. The more I think about my food, the more irritated I become. I don't know what is going on with the food industry, and I was so sure this restaurant would give me the West Indian taste I needed. No way, I was wrong, The gravy for the oxtails was sweet and oily. I can tell they used a lot of ketchup but it lacked good flavor. They don't answer the phone even when they are open, so it's not like you can call and check either. They have some of the best jamacian food I've ever had in GA 10/10 hands down but the only thing is you gotta catch 'em when they're open if not your sore outta luck. Lunch special includes can soda or bottled water for $6.49. The food was on point. The chicken and veggies married together perfectly. It wasn't salty or too spicy (although I love spicy). Masks are required before entering and the staff practice what they ask of customers. read more

I tried to order for takeout for my first time. My first call, the phone rang fifteen times. I hung up, figuring they're busy. My second call, the woman who answered asked me to hold on for a moment. NINE MINUTES went by. Honestly, I stayed on the phone just to see how long it would take her to realize that the receiver was sitting on the counter. I could hear her taking new customers, could hear people come in and she took care of them. When she did pick up, there was no apology or explanation. Recently found out about this spot hidden in conyers. Been here 4 or 5 times now Excellent food every time . And the folks are always super pleasant. We got there and the food was in a buffet style as she prepared the food for us. She sounded a little rude at first but i think that's just how she talks.
