This is probably the most authentic Jamaican food I've had in Conyers. The service is quick, even when the line is long, and the cook is always bringing out fresh food. It's a small establishment with limited seating. Recently, there was what looked like a poker game going on, with loud talking and even louder music--but that didn't bother me, because, again, it's the most authentic Jamaican spot I've visited. read more

I like it good food. I loved the brown stew chicken and their jerk chicken. line was long and slow but food was excellent

The food was just ok.The presentation wasn't good at all.I found the Oxtails to be tough. The jerk chicken was also ok,Please turn down the music,I had to yell out my order. read more

Alright, the vibe was good for me on this island! Walked in music was good, lady behind the counter was let's just say as nice as you expect! What you want but with a serious look! I gave her the layup of it's my first visit and she took it! Food was fresh, nice portion, but wasn't cheap folks. Ordered large plates, jerk chicken and curry chicken. No bread, but most places don't have it that late in the day. $50 but included tip! I will return, worth the try in my opinion. Got my order to go, place is small but wasn't my intent to eat in! Until next time! Coming back for the sweet potatoes for sure! read more

I go here when I want some fried plantains. Although it's not on the menu, the owner was happy to make me a pina colada.

Meh. Not my favorite. I won't be back. I got really excited when I got there. The music. The smells. So so wonderful! I ordered almost $40 worth of food. The portions are generous. But I ordered curry chicken and it's spicy. The rice is spicy. The festival is HARD. THE mac and cheese is mushy. The cabbage is spicy! I am looking for flavor not a scotch bonnet in all my food. The staff was pretty nice too. But not something I want to do again. read more

I am never disappointed with this restaurant. Great service and they give you a nice size portion of food. I always come here when I want authentic Jamaican food. read more

Island Vibes Kitchen - Jerk Pork, Rice and Peas, cabbage, Mac and Cheese - Caribbean Near Me - Conyers, Georgia

The food is authentic and has a good taste; however, they are not honest about the time that they open. Today, May 17th, 2025 I've come twice after 10am and the door was locked. A gentleman behind the counter never came to the door or never shared what time they'd be opening. He simply mouthed "we're closed." Very disappointing as I had a taste for their food this morning and drove in the pouring rain. read more

Cashier included a 15% tip to my bill. Then did not want to give me a receipt. Customer service needs work.

Island Vibes Kitchen - Oxtail rice and cabbage - Caribbean Near Me - Conyers, Georgia

I am so disappointed with my food! I spent $50 on oxtails, and the taste is not right, and it can't be the same cook from the last time I was there. The more I think about my food, the more irritated I become. I don't know what is going on with the food industry, and I was so sure this restaurant would give me the West Indian taste I needed. No way, I was wrong, The gravy for the oxtails was sweet and oily. I can tell they used a lot of ketchup but it lacked good flavor. These oxtails were either old or they made them in a rush without marinating them. Where are the pimento, thyme and scotch bonnet? 2/10. Mi neva expect di food fi taste so bad! Damn, I will neva return! read more

Food was not good at all. Maybe a bad batch l, but would not order again Ordered on DD so can not speak on. service or ambiance.

Dine in for Lunch , the food was very good . The atmosphere was very relaxing. And the waitress was very welcoming & pleasant.

Love the collard greens love the oxtails the rice food is good we are recommended nice atmosphere friendly people

Good food. Like the curry chicken and jerk pork. Rice and peas are great as are the plantains. Friendly service but you are on island time. Prices are very good for what you get. Lunch portions are huge. Supposed to have music on weekends but not sure about which nights. Definitely Jamaican me happy. read more

This place has good food, but the inconsistency outweighs it. They're hardly open the hours they have listed. They don't answer the phone even when they are open, so it's not like you can call and check either. I don't even have enough fingers for the amount of times I've driven there just for them to be closed. Today marks another one of those times. It's just unprofessional and inconsiderate at this point. read more

They have some of the best jamacian food I've ever had in GA 10/10 hands down but the only thing is you gotta catch 'em when they're open if not your sore outta luck. I always get their curried goat and they always get me right, a small plate should fill you up and that's if you have a normal metabolism mines is high so I get large but it's all so good. read more

Food is always good and plenty always try to switch it up and everything taste delicious.

Lunch special includes can soda or bottled water for $6.49. The food was on point. The chicken and veggies married together perfectly. It wasn't salty or too spicy (although I love spicy). Masks are required before entering and the staff practice what they ask of customers. read more

I tried to order for takeout for my first time. My first call, the phone rang fifteen times. I hung up, figuring they're busy. My second call, the woman who answered asked me to hold on for a moment. NINE MINUTES went by. Honestly, I stayed on the phone just to see how long it would take her to realize that the receiver was sitting on the counter. I could hear her taking new customers, could hear people come in and she took care of them. When she did pick up, there was no apology or explanation. I told her to let Neville know they just lost a customer because she treated me poorly. Their food might be phenomenal, but I wouldn't know since I could not get service. If this is indicative of what someone can expect, I would suggest you try another Jamaican place in Conyers. read more

Recently found out about this spot hidden in conyers. Been here 4 or 5 times now Excellent food every time . And the folks are always super pleasant. I believe Eva is the owner, at least that's who always waits on me. Stew chicken is very good and try the bbq chicken . They even have cow foot! Not a franchise or chain just good jamaican food. Well seasoned Prices are very reasonable. Oh BTW they sell beer , red stripe, Guinness, etc . Today they are having a family day /fathers day celebration with dj, live band and food samples. read more

Good Mac and cheese but remember it's Jamaican food. So it won't taste like your normal mac and cheese.

Small lunch crowd. No indoor dining, we sat at a small table outside. Solid and decently priced Caribbean takeout in Conyers with beer and wine available. read more

So far, this is the best Caribbean restaurants I've eaten at since being in Atlanta. Its been 3 years now. The flavor and the spices make me feel like i was in Jamaica. This was cooking from the soul not just to make money, there is a big difference. I ordered the Oxtails with rice n peas and let me tell you....it was so damn good. Everything was delicious even the cabbage. I will most definitely be bck!!! read more

I love the food here. Everything is flavorful and cooks fresh each day or cooked to order for the seafood. I had a whole fried snapper it arrived to my table hot and flaky (very good). I also tried the Curry Cow foot, they don't serve this dish in many restaurants but if you are bold enough give it a try! Toya was my server and did an amazing job. Def will come back! read more

At first, I tried to call my order in and the woman who answered bluntly said they will prepare the food when we got there. I almost didn't go. We got there and the food was in a buffet style as she prepared the food for us. She sounded a little rude at first but i think that's just how she talks. The man that also worked there was really nice and helpful so we were put at ease with that. We ordered the jerk chicken meal and oxtail meal. The portions were huge! The prices are good for the amount of food you get. Everything was fresh and so delicious! It's such a hidden gem! I've been looking for a good Caribbean food spot and now I have a place to go. Give this place a try and don't be intimidated, they're actually really nice people and their food is really good. read more

I love Island vibes but the lady who was making plates was called me stupid because I didn't know the difference between plates. I was unsure if there was a medium jerk plate. She was throw my plates on the counter. She was rude and nasty for no reason like if you hate your JOB QUIT. Another thing is this restaurant all always out of food.I will not be visiting this restaurant anymore. I'll stop referring this business because why be rude to the customers and call them stupid like just give me what I want. read more
