We were pleasantly greeted upon entry. I hadn't found fried gizzards for the first four years in GA. I finally found River & Roost and I promise, you will not be disappointed. I will become a semi-permanent fixture here. There is seating, but I prefer to get really comfortable with a drink and enjoy my gizzards at home. You can call ahead and there is a drive up window. Wow wow wow!! All I can say is the best wings I've ever had in my life. So good. They're fresh and they do not take a long time. The only thing I don't like is that there's not a lot of seating but granted it's right next to a gas station so don't expect a restaurant with several tables. I see a lot of to go orders so definitely orders to go. Don't plan on having a date. But I can definitely say the wings are delicious! Went here with my girlfriend for a quick bite to eat and thought the breakfast was really good. I slapped it down on site while waiting for wings. The first thing I said was " I don't eat grits" my friend said just try it and then you can decide never to have it again if you don't like it. So I ordered the grits bowl with sausage chives and cheese. Man that thing was so good. I had a small bite waiting for my wings and the next thing I know is I ate the entire thing. I can always count on their food to be consistent. We try to eat healthily most of the time but sometimes you just want to tear into some wings! We're lucky to have a great wing place that's local with excellent service and have hardly ever had anything wrong with our order. If so, we call and they fix it. Not sure what has happened at R&R. Been going there for years, but over the past few months the service has gotten very poor and food is just ok. This morning we ordered online at 9:52. The "time to be ready" was 10:11. I drove away at 10:55, yes over an hour from the time we ordered for a chicken biscuit, steak biscuit, and a biscuit and gravy. This is a pretty good place. The loaded fries are awesome!!! Such a large portion!!! We had the wings and they were so hot and fresh!!! The container was steaming as soon as I opened it. The wings are very large and meaty, much larger than any wings you will get in the area from other wing places. Fresh carrots and celery served with the wings. read more

I received a total of 4 sauces 1 honey mustard,1 bbq, 1 ranch, and 1 blue cheese. I love the food and the staff are exceptionally friendly. However, service is terribly slow with obviously antique ordering systems.

It wasn't the Highway 81 location, it was the location off Jonesboro Road. I ordered online, super simple and quick. Prepaid. It let me choose a specific time and communicated via email about my order. Once I arrived, my order was ready (at the time I requested), the young lady behind the bar was polite and prompt. The order was 100% accurate (down to the extra dressings). The food was amazing; the sweet tea was banging. The brownie was also delicious. 10/10. read more

Ordered the fish plate and the tilapia plate. The fish was very thin and tough. The catfish was so tough that it was not edible. Total waste of money. The macaroni and cheese was not good - it was pasty without flavor. The collard greens were canned greens, not fresh. Love this place! Their wings are crispy and delicious. Their buffalo tender sandwich is always tender and the bun is always soft and delicious. It's like eating a cloud. So good. they have a variety of sauces to choose from, I love the extra hot, hot garlic and garlic parmesan. Lemon pepper is delicious as well. read more

I ordered the tilapia sandwich and my order came with missing items and the food was very salty with no taste. The last time I went the service was very very slow as other reviews have said and it seems like they're not properly training their employees on how to cook the food. We have been loyal guests for years at this place,always raved about how great the food is at this place. My mom and I came to this restaurant almost every time I came to visit her but sadly the last time we went we ordered a philly steak and cheese and several other chicken sandwiches but when we got home we realized that they had given us a chicken philly rather than a steak. No big deal we thought we'd just call them and they would make it right the next time we came in but instead they told us that the only way they would replace our sandwich was if we brought it backup to them. I realize there might be crooks out there but we aren't one of them and my mom needed something to eat before she went in to work so the chicken philly which was probably the worst thing we've ever had at their restaurant had to be eaten or she wouldn't have food at work that night. their opportunity to make it right and sadly wouldn't. $4 sandwich and you would rather leave a loyal customer wronged?
