Father's Day has been a struggle for me since 8/21/2009, so I was pretty much to myself all day Sunday. But about 4pm I got hungry and developed a taste for oxtails. I went to google to locate a restaurant that had the best ratings. I came across YEAH MAN GOOD VIBES Jamaican Restaurants. From the customer service to the food had very high ratings. I saw the address and it was a 43-minute drive. I went with high expectations. God was in the building. I order my food and was thoroughly blessed. Mrs. Denise with a beautiful spirit and kind heart. It's as if my father's angelic spirit spoke to her about me. Then I got home, and THE FOOD was STILL HOT & DELICIOUS. It's day 3 and the food is still AMAZING. This turned out to be a better Father's Day and the overflow still is happening, because they give you more than enough food for the amount of money you spend. Nestled in the shopping center with subway, across the street from Kroger, you can find this Caribbean gem owned and operated by Andre and one other. The best Caribbean food In area overall. I had two visits the second was escoveitch snapper with extra sauce and for the first time ever someone got the extra sauce in!!! It was delicious. Their cabbage may very well be the best I have had but my oh my the beef patty home cooked daily! The first time I went none left for beef. Second time I got the last one! Tried the jerk was very flavorful. The curry was okay but a bit salty and not as flavorful or with as much heat as my Jamaican roots like but I know I am very hard to please on curry. Last but not least. The rice and peas with gunga peas and coconut milk! Yum. Reminded me of my Dads moms and aunts cooking! I will definitely be back. Tried to eat here... pulled up, the ambiance was dead. No music, no employees except for one. They didn't have any food, only jerk, brown stew & curry chicken. They weren't serving anything else on the menu which was odd to me... i was really disappointed because we came from another town just to eat there... hopefully they get better help in there. read more

As soon as you enter the restaurant, you can smell how good the food is. The wife and I tried it for the first, and we were delighted with our meals. She had the oxtail, and I had the curry goat and taste like they came from mom's kitchen. I will be returning for sure, oh and the staff is very friendly. The food was great! Chicken was not dry like other places and the sauce was right on point. Owner I'm assuming is not afraid to let you try the food for buying and I thank him for that because I was going to blind test it anyways! The food is always delicious! My go-to is the jerk chicken and my mom's the brown stewed chicken. Everything we have tried there has been amazing. Definitely one of our new favorite eating spots! I'm sorry but this is not authentic Jamaican food. I'm not sure what kind of rice they use but it taste like jasmine rice and the oxtails are horrible as if they but ginger and/or cinnamon in it. Oxtails are savory not sweet. read more

The best Jamaican Restaurant I've ever been to. I got oxtails they well seasoned and falling off the bone. The rice oh the rice is none like you've ever tasted it's has a hit of coconut that melts in your mouth. If I had to I would drive 200 miles for another plate of them oxtail, rice and cabbage.
