For my birthday, my friend decided to surprise me seafood. Ordered seafood boil with snow crab, potatoes, sausages corn, shrimp and mussels. It came with a mild sauce but whats interesting is the speed our food came. Our waitress was very attentive and can say the service was prompt and courteous. We came on a Sunday around 1:30 and I was expecting a crowd but it was a few patrons in the restaurant and no one at the bar. Atlanta is coming off spring break so maybe people are prepping for back to school/work next week. Our server (Darlene) was super kind and customer service friendly. She took the time to explain the best way to order so we maximized our options on side items. She checked on us a few times and brought extra lemon and butter and bind as needed. I had a Long Island ice tea. I had read the reviews prior to coming and expected a drink much stronger than what I received. My dining buddy ordered a "sneaky link" which is basically a blue mfer. She didn't think her was strong either. She order two pound of crawfish and a half pound of shrimp her sides were corn, potatoes and broccoli. I ordered a pound of crab legs and my sides were the same. ($105) The potatoes were small boiler potatoes. You could eat one potato in a full bite so if you like the potatoes, don't substitute them as they are tiny. The corn and broccoli were delicious. We both got medium spicy and I could have gotten mild. I didn't think it was overly spicy but if my nose starts running while eating a seafood bag I'm not trying to wipe my nose and eat. Jessica, the "manager," clearly has no understanding of basic customer service. When a restaurant provides the wrong order, it needs to be corrected immediately--not just because it's the right thing to do, but because the business has already inconvenienced the customer and left them without the food they actually paid for. ​When I called to request that my order be corrected for pickup, Jessica flatly refused to fix their mistake. This level of poor leadership and disregard for customers is why you have officially lost my business. They would rather lose a loyal customer than take responsibility for a simple order error. Honestly the food is really good. There is a wide selection of specialty drinks and they are fairly priced. The place is set up nicely and really something McDonough needs. The only reason I'm giving only 3 stars is because of the service. It was empty when we went and it was still really slow to get anything. Looking around at the staff everyone just seemed disengaged. I never seen soo many workers just sitting on their cellphones passing time before. We only seen our server when we asked for another server to get our server. No refills on sodas or just checking on us to make sure we are doing ok. I ordered a snow crab boil with eggs and corn. I do not eat sausage. My husband ordered sausage with his meal. When the food arrived, sausage was included in my boil by mistake. I politely asked the waitress if the meal could be remade or corrected.Instead of resolving the issue, the manager, David , instructed the waitress to tell me to remove the sausage myself. When I declined, he removed my plate without explanation and never returned to the table. He later removed my husband's meal as well, incorrectly stating that I said I didn't want the food.His behavior was dismissive, emotional, and unprofessional. I found it odd they were not homemade since they are highlighted as an appetizer. The tilapia was dark, watery, and fishy tasting. I asked the server about the fish not being edible. My first time hearing about Yami Crab was this evening right before I got here and after dining here I'm pretty impressed. To begin, I must say I was on a date but this place is great for a solo outing or a group outing which I noticed a lot of on this particular evening. Also there is more than enough parking in the plaza parking lot as well. It was a bit packed so it took us maybe 10 mins to be seated but that's what you have to deal with pretty much anywhere on a Saturday night. Once seated we pretty much knew what we wanted so we didn't bother letting the waitress give us time to look over the menu. I'm not particularly big on the crab boils in the bags so I ordered Fried Calamari ($7) with a side of fries ($3). It actually didn't take as long as I thought it would for both me and my date's entrees to be brought out to us. What I was most impressed was the portion size of my basket lol may sound a bit greedy but they indeed give you a lot of pieces of calamari (15 if not more) as well as a good bit of fries. You get tartar sauce and cocktail sauce along with ketchup with this particular meal too. The calamari is well cooked, seasoned just right with a desirable crunch. The fries are too. With how nicely sized the portion is, you're definitely able to eat enough, get full and save some for later. I highly recommend Yami Crab. It's tucked away behind a Starbucks at the end of a plaza. Easy to drive by and not see. But place was clean having the hint of seafood smell. I Ordered the boil combo 1/2# shrimp head on $8 1/2# snow crab $11 and crawfish 1/2# $5 all came with corn on the cob and potato. Service was great maybe because it was slow but Amanda was super attentive to our table. I got the shaking crab special sauce HOT which was good a little salty but good. At this location, they are offering only seafood bags to order. No fried foods or orders currently. The food was very good and not too salty. I tried the mild because I wasn't sure how spicy medium was going to be. There are two reasons why I am taking a star is the organization of their online orders from their need to order people. I use to think I didn't like crab but once I came here I realize "oh, I didn't like THEIR (another person's) crab legs" I'm a love Calamari and I've ordered their Calamari many times. Each time it comes out hot, made to order, and so crispy and delish it also comes with sauce that pairs quite well. Their sweet potato fries are good I was expecting shoe lace fries but they're waffle fries. My only problem is that when I ordered Cajun fries they forgot the Cajun I went back and they gave me a sauce container filled with the Cajun seasoning. Came in from Colorado to watch our team play Softball Nationals and craving some seafood. This place is close to our hotel and and highly recommended. We were excited to see a new seafood restaurant in McDonough. It was nice when we entered . People were friendly. My friend and I ordered the same thing . 1/2 lb crab legs and a 6 oz lobster tail , came with corn and potato. My friend ordered ice tea , when it came it was basically colored water. She changed to dt coke. When the food came everything was swimming in a greasy , over spiced of garlic butter. Usually crab and lobster comes steamed in some old bay with clarifies butter for dipping. These were swimming in a greasy soup . Nice size crab and lobster but very off putting in the sauce. The Dungeness crab boil was good and had a lot of flavor. I would've liked more than 1 potato and 1 corn on the cob though. I can't recommend the raw oysters however. They seemed to have just be thawed out because there was a lot of water in the shell and absolutely no flavor in the oysters. read more
