I've been to a lot of laundromats, and Golden Isles Laundry definitely stands out in some ways--both good and bad. On the plus side, the facility itself is great. It's clean, spacious, and well laid out, which makes doing laundry a lot less of a chore. There are plenty of washers and dryers available, and I really appreciate the variety of sizes--you can handle anything from a small load to bulky items without a problem. That said, there are a couple of downsides that are hard to ignore. First, you have to use a laundry card, and frustratingly, it can only be loaded with cash. In a world where most places take cards or mobile payments, that feels outdated and inconvenient. The biggest issue, though, has been the customer service--specifically the evening attendant. I'm a weekly evening customer, and almost every week I've witnessed him being extremely rude to at least one customer. Unfortunately, about a week ago, I was on the receiving end. He was very gruff with me for using a folding table in an area he had recently mopped. To be fair, it was about an hour before closing, and I understand he has responsibilities to finish up. However, there was no signage, barrier, or any indication that the area was closed or unavailable for use. I brushed it off at the time, assuming he might have just been having a bad day. However, my most recent visit on April 15 really changed my perspective. The attendant was again rude--this time to another customer--and the situation escalated unnecessarily. A woman was in an area he had just mopped (again, with no signage or barriers indicating it was off-limits). She had earbuds in and couldn't hear him, but instead of handling it calmly, he became confrontational and ultimately called the police because she wasn't responding to him. The police arrived, spoke with her, and then left after hearing her side of the story. The whole situation was uncomfortable to witness and honestly made me feel uneasy. It's a shame because customers should be able to do something as routine as laundry without feeling tense or worried about being spoken to harshly. It also feels like there are unspoken rules that customers are expected to follow, without any clear communication. Simple signage or barriers--especially closer to closing time--could make a big difference and prevent situations like this altogether. While one customer spending around $20 a week (about $80 a month) might not seem significant to the business, it is to me. At this point, I'd rather spend my time and money somewhere I feel more comfortable and treated with basic courtesy. Overall, the facility itself is great, but the lack of modern payment options and ongoing issues with the evening attendant make it difficult to recommend. read more

It was confusing when I came in. You need cash and have to buy a card that then works in all machines. But the woman working there came over and explained the system and in 3 minutes I was rolling. Place is busy and that's because it is clean and well maintained. I'm not a fan of going to "the mat". But if you have to go this one is nice Wash, dry fold is available. read more

Minus one star for being impossibly busy and requiring cash to load your laundry card. The prices are decent and the equipment works. I've been to laundromats where I wasted money discovering which dryer actually worked. I didn't have that problem here. The female employee working in the drop-off area was super nice. She offered to weigh our clothing for the laundry service. Hopefully they upgrade to a system that accepts debit cards in lieu of cash. read more

None of the machines take visas, and none of them have a coin slot, so you have to use a card. Unfortunate for people like me whose only other source of doing laundry is unreliable. read more

I have used this facility for years. I love that there are always attendants to assist. They are quick to resolving issues. No issue with dry cleaning either. It seems pricey but everything is going up. I wished the owner would say hey when he walks by. But overall this place covers my needs satisfactorily. read more

I rarely need to use the laundry mat but in the past I was always pleased with my experience here. Well today my experience took a huge turn for the bad . The floors were covered with trash and dryer sheets and the attendant was so rude I am taking my wet clothes home to hang dry . I politely told her I needed help with my dryer because it took my money and was hot but it was not spinning. Her sassy reply was " well i guess you just need to use another one " and turned away . When I asked for a refund she acted like that was just gonna be too much effort for her and she never gave me one . read more

This laundry mat is well kempt. There's always an attendant on duty. There are several sizes of washing machines. It does not have wireless internet service available. You're also required to use a card you must purchase to use the machines. They will not give cash back if you do not use all the money on your card. read more

Don't cone here unless your in the mood for a sauna. Maybe October thru March but never in the summer. This place sucks

This is my regular laundry facility, I usually just use the drop off service, as I have a busy schedule. I do however have a complaint about one of the attendants an older man who was rude and when confronted about asking to speak to the owner or persons in charge I was told "I can't... I just can't" shrugged away and then he let me know I could "just go somewhere else". Real nice! read more

I washed my clothes here today for the first time and found the Laundry and the washers/dryers very clean. The cost to use the washers/dryers are priced inline with other laundromats I have used. The employee working there was very helpful and didn't mind helping a new customer get acquainted with their setup. I will use them again when in the area. read more
