This place is horrible and the service is unbecoming. I call an order from the menu which states pt or qt/ $7or 9$ she asked for what size, I stated qt. after a few back an forth she finally a lot clearer I'm asking for you want large or small (which is different from the menu she stated 15 minutes Due to rain roads where unsafe which took me longer to get there, she called in a rude manor ask/suggest "Are you coming or what" I laughed and almost turned around but when I got there I walk inside and both workers just look at me. I voiced the phone call, the menu and the customers and they just looked at me. Maybe that is what I should've done walking out without paying for the food Because I'm not that type of person. Yellow rice with leftover pork, no vegetables and definitely no egg but you have the audacity to charge $1.80 for extra egg. Restaurants are at the scrutiny of customers which most tend to forget! I cannot give this place no stars not even a slitter of it HORRIBLE all around but I have no choice to post a review. Go to the ones by the Publix that speak and greet. read more

Lovely little spot!! The food is really good, made to order, the employees are courteous, and will answer all your questions. Walked in, ordered, and walked out with piping hot fresh food in about 15 minutes. I will say it's not a place to sit down in, but the food definitely makes up for that. read more

Very friendly service. However, very long wait. I ordered 2 egg rolls and large sweet and sour chicken and it took nearly 20 minutes to get my food. Shouldn't take that long but I guess they made a mistake or something not sure. However, I'd still recommend this business because they're very friendly and it's a family business. I ask for chicken fried rice instead I received yellow rice with chicken in the rice. It did not have any egg or vegetables. I called the restaurant back and asked what happen to my fried rice they said this is their fried rice. A pint of yellow rice. Unacceptable Asian cuisine . Golden House was probably one of the best Chinese places I've been to in Charleston. We wanted something fast during the hurricane and since it wasn't too bad out, we called and ordered pick-up. I ordered the Szechuan Chicken with shrimp fried rice. The chicken was moist and tender and very flavorful. I especially liked the mushrooms and zucchini in the dish and found myself looking for both while enjoying it. You can tell the ingredients were fresh. The shrimp fried rice was ok. The flavor wasn't as good as I anticipated, honestly. The man got the Hunan chicken with plain lo mein. The veggies and chicken were the same but tossed with different sauce. His was also pretty good and he really liked the mushrooms and zucchini as I did. We both noticed the lo mein he got was darker than we usually get at other Chinese places. The flavor was amazing! He offered me some when I was super full and I decided to just taste it. It was soooo good. I kept going back for more! I will definitely get some kind of lo mein next time. The only downside was they didn't have any egg rolls when we picked up the food but we chalked it up to them being out due to the hurricane. They didn't offer any type of replacement for it. This place is not a let's go out to dinner kind of place. What it is: A small Chinese restaurant with 6 tables (in case you want to eat there) that serves great food. I always order to pick up as they do not have delivery service. The food is always fresh and delicious! I absolutely love their Plain Chicken Wings! read more

I like this restaurant. I really do. One of the few eateries on 52 between Moncks corner and goose creek. It's convenient. The family who runs the restaurant is very friendly, very helpful. But it's the usual neighborhood Chinese food place. 5 tables. Chairs. One bathroom. An egg roll and a fortune cookie:-D. I trust the people who work here and feel the quality is as good as it can get. I give them 4 stars for the convenience, friendliness, and peace of mind that I am receiving food prepared safely. Establishment itself is a blah, bathrooms a blah. Again the usual neighborhood Chinese restaurant. DoorDash does their deliveries whenever available. read more

Good Chinese food in a convenient location. I can't recall a time where I've been dissatisfied with my order. I like that I am able to order online and that if there is confusion with the order, they call. I ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Yung with Shrimp Fried Rice. No onions, no veggies, add egg. Got a call to clarify and didn't understand at first but soon realized that what I wanted to omit was everything that made up the Egg Foo Yung...haha. Glad they called since I was actually referring to my rice. I'll definitely be more careful to clarify next time. read more

Just ok. Had a craving and decided to try. They had pork for dishes but would not make Szechuan pork? Hot and sour soup was way too thick and neither hot or sour before I tried to make it so and didn't help much. Would only recommend simple items from menu for a quick craving fix. We will never be back after finding multiple pieces of metal shavings (looked like staples) in my lo mein. Thankfully it was my food not my toddlers because she might not have known to spit it out..... and could have been seriously injured!!! Ruined lo mein for me for ever. So I have been living in FoxBank for a year and I honestly think the food is disgusting. Very clean very prompt good customer service but the food isn't good. I've had Chinese food from pretty much every where in the area Charleston Ladson Goose Creek Summerville etc and other states but they by far are thee worst. A pretty legit Chinese spot right outside our neighborhood. Chicken wings are bomb. As well as spring rolls and crab Rangoon.

Stopped by for some Hot and Sour soup. Took 15 min they made it fresh and it was outstanding. This is a great place and will be returning soon read more

I have been disappointed in every single Chinese take out I have tried since moving to SC from MA 6 years ago. That said, I stopped at the Golden House on my way back to Manning after a dr appointment in Summerville. It was out of my way but the reviews were telling me to go!!! I am so happy that I went!! It was an hour home, and I didn't eat for another 30 minutes after I got home, and it was still hot and AMAZING !! I ordered the pu pu platter for 2, pan fried dumplings, and an order of shrimp with snow peas in garlic sauce. If I closed my eyes, I would have thought I was back home having my favorite Chinese take out. I will not only be stopping here for take out every time I visit my doctor, but if I want Chinese take out I will drive the hour to get it before wasting any more money trying places closer to me that are terrible. Good Chinese food and super close by, will return. Defiantly my new go to for Chinese when I get the hankering. Never have to order before hand cause the food is quick and still hot when I get home. Also there customer service is always great. They always seem to sneak in some extra food as a gift. Today I got these awesome sugar puff pastries and some extra white rice. Before I start writing my experience I will add that this is not my first problem I had with this place. There food is good so I'm not complaining about but for one, the have a 10 year old as a cashier that does not speak well English so she will sometimes not understand you. I am in a no carb diet and had my husband order us food from here. I ordered hot wings and I can only have hot wings with just hot sauce and butter. No sugar or anything with carbs. When my husband called to place the order he asked if the wings were breaded and what was in the sauce and if the sauce had sugar in it. She replied saying that the wings they made were only hot sauce and butter and that they do bread them but they can do it without the breading. When my husband brings our food home I start to eat my wings and they have a sweetness to them. I get really upset and tell my husband to call them to find out exactly what is in the sauce they use. She tells him sweet and spicy sauce then he said to her. "So they do have sugar in it.." you just told us it had not sugar and that it was just regular hot sauce with butter. If they did not use a sweet sauce I would have ruined all my work on my diet and never realized the amount of carbs that are in the wings. On top of this I was even more upset just because I did not eat all day because I'm fasting as well so I just was fed up. I know I might be coming off to harsh but a 10 year old shouldn't even be taking orders and handling money. She can barely understand what your asking! read more
