My husband and I were there for the first time as a 2nd result because our regular place was booked. I called to confirm a time and was told one thing and when we arrived it was another thing. The front desk relayed she was wrong and we waited 30-40 minutes to be put in a room. Next- we were put in a couples massage room and the massage shortly started. The pressure was very intense to the point where I rose my head to advise i was in pain. (Upper back & neck area) This was on Sunday it is now Thursday, my husband and I are both still sore and feel heavy discomfort. The massage was over and we went to check out. I used the atm to take out cash as the surcharge to use a cc was insane. I recount the money in front of the counter and when I gave her the money the front desk proceeded to ask for the tip. I found that unprofessional! A tip is not mandatory. We still gave one because of the ppl we are. However we will not be back and we do Not recommend this place. read more

So I've been coming here for several years and I've had several dozen of massages here.... I've had several great girls- the last one was Helen who unfortunately isn't there anymore. My new fave is Margaret. This past year- I have added cupping to my massage. Wet cupping massage and then cupping to the end. Slightly uncomfortable to sensitive areas or area of tension at first but when the 10mins are up and the cups are removed- there are way more benefits. I've been to this massage spa maybe 3 times already with my husband. The first time was amazing and the prices were great. It was a mixture of all types of massages including hot stone. The first visit was great, the second was alright. She massaged waay too hard in the same area even though I asked for medium. The third visit was eh. She got my knots on my shoulders, but wasted so much time on my back that she rushed when she went by my legs and never reached my feet when the hour was up. I scheduled another massage but I had to keep push the time back from 12 to 12:30 because I was in the midst of putting my daughter down for a nap. The lady kept asking are you sure you're coming twice when I initially called and again when I rescheduled the time. Then she calls me at 12 saying I have an appointment for 1:40 pm so make sure you're not late. Like lady sheesh, why are you rushing people. I went for 90 minute massage. The lady did cupping almost by force claiming that will only make my sciatic pain better. I told her to skip the clock to do cupping which I was paying her $25 extra as she asked. It was 20 minutes left on the clock hen she brought in her cups for sipping. I told her to stop the clock she said yes yes yes. After cupping she said done! I asked her what about the 20 minutes of massage that I paid !! She didn't say much but owner directed her to go massage in the next room! So basically they double dipped here! They charged for cupping extra and they did cupping during the time I was supposed to get massage and I paid for that time for massage! This place is very clean and the owner, Mary, is so polite and friendly. The first time I went there, the masseuse who massaged me was named Jenny. She spoke little English but understood me when I told her my problem areas. She knew exactly how to treat my injured areas of my neck and shoulder with just enough pressure to relax the tight areas yet soft enough to sooth the same area after the stronger pressure. Like another reviewer said, I'm happy I decided to go with "medium pressure" cause I had every intention in asking for "hard pressure" since I had a couple of knots on my shoulders that I wanted resolved. I defintely had to suck it up a couple of times. The massage isn't something you go there to close your eyes and have this relaxing, chill experience - the masseuse was very thorough, got rid of a lot of painful knots and really stretched me out. I came here for an hour masssge this evening. The cost was 50 bucks which is a very good and reasonable price. However, I was a bit surprised that in the beginning I didn't have to fill out a questionnaire nor did they ask me any questions about what areas I want to targeted. Most of the massage I was on my stomach while the masseuse massage my back and arms and legs. She did a nice job, except for the fact for the first 15 minutes, I didn't really enjoy when I was getting massaged over the blanket. Amazing. I manage a bar where I regularly stand for over 60 hours a week I was in DESPERATE need of a massage. I had tried one of those chain places months ago with little satisfaction. Golden Hands however was fantastic. Is it super fancy and does it have cucumber infused tears of angels water? No. But what it does have is amazing service. My masseuse was "Elina" she was very kind and asked me more than once about the pressure etc. The room itself was very dimly lit, no music (which was fine with me- I actually hate that weird massage gong/flute/winds crap most places play) and super clean. After the massage they give you a little bottle of water and a loyalty card. This place is no frills, but definitely gets the job done and the massage is worth every penny. We had a bit of trouble finding the entrance at first. The place is on the corner of the shopping center (closer to the outback steakhouse side) and you have to take the stairs up one flight. It was really clean and we went straight into the room once we arrived. The massage itself was great -- they make sure to ask the pressure you want and check in occasionally to see if it's okay. This is a very unassuming place, location wise. Nothing fancy, but it is a hidden gem! For $50/hour you get an AMAZING massage. I go once every 1-2 weeks, schedule permitting. My favorite is Amy, she does deep pressure effortlessly (which I need!). I also had a young seeming girl who was very strong (recommended if you really need some extra extra deep tissue. She also does Thai massage elements like stretching). If you ask, they can incorporate hot stones. They also use warm towels before you have to flip over to your back, it's a thoughtful detail. I've been to a lot of massage places, and this one is my favorite in this area. Key for me: I have always been able to get a same-day appointment. Sometimes I've called at 7pm on a Friday or Saturday and they have had no problem squeezing me in. I imagine this will get harder as they become more popular. The staff is all friendly. Seems to be family owned, maybe by a couple? I recommended it to co-worker and she is a regular, too. I have been getting massages regularly in the area for about 10 years and have been to around a dozen places. Golden Hands is consistently the best in terms of value and the quality of the massages. Each masseuse (I have had several) has a completely intuitive understanding of the body and how to repair it. They are professional, courteous and hard working. Don't expect a fancy spa-like atmosphere or much conversation, but the masseuses are very well trained and execute their craft with strength and precision. I've been getting massages all my life and this is by far one of the best places I have ever been to. Not only are the massages amazing, the prices are more reasonable than anywhere around. What's great too is a 60 minute massage is 60 minutes, not 50. 90 minutes is 90, not 80, and so on. I've had many of the masseuses here and they are all wonderful.
