My husband and I were there for the first time as a 2nd result because our regular place was booked. I called to confirm a time and was told one thing and when we arrived it was another thing. The front desk relayed she was wrong and we waited 30-40 minutes to be put in a room. Next- we were put in a couples massage room and the massage shortly started. The pressure was very intense to the point where I rose my head to advise i was in pain. (Upper back & neck area) This was on Sunday it is now Thursday, my husband and I are both still sore and feel heavy discomfort. The massage was over and we went to check out. I used the atm to take out cash as the surcharge to use a cc was insane. I recount the money in front of the counter and when I gave her the money the front desk proceeded to ask for the tip. I found that unprofessional! A tip is not mandatory. We still gave one because of the ppl we are. However we will not be back and we do Not recommend this place. read more

Golden Hands Massage Spa - Massage Near Me - Springfield, New Jersey

So I've been coming here for several years and I've had several dozen of massages here.... I've had several great girls- the last one was Helen who unfortunately isn't there anymore. My new fave is Margaret. This past year- I have added cupping to my massage. Wet cupping massage and then cupping to the end. Slightly uncomfortable to sensitive areas or area of tension at first but when the 10mins are up and the cups are removed- there are way more benefits. The only times I don't add cupping is if I have to wear something that can't hide the cupping marks or I'm going to the beach etc. read more

I had an amazing experience having my massage for the first time Jenny was amazing I'm pretty sure I will go back read more

I've been to this massage spa maybe 3 times already with my husband. The first time was amazing and the prices were great. It was a mixture of all types of massages including hot stone. The first visit was great, the second was alright. She massaged waay too hard in the same area even though I asked for medium. The third visit was eh. She got my knots on my shoulders, but wasted so much time on my back that she rushed when she went by my legs and never reached my feet when the hour was up. I scheduled another massage but I had to keep push the time back from 12 to 12:30 because I was in the midst of putting my daughter down for a nap. The lady kept asking are you sure you're coming twice when I initially called and again when I rescheduled the time. Then she calls me at 12 saying I have an appointment for 1:40 pm so make sure you're not late. Like lady sheesh, why are you rushing people. I told my husband to cancel the appointment because that's just rude to rush people like that. read more

Great service! Love this place will definitely come back every single month for a massage. Recommend getting 2 hours

I went for 90 minute massage. The lady did cupping almost by force claiming that will only make my sciatic pain better. I told her to skip the clock to do cupping which I was paying her $25 extra as she asked. It was 20 minutes left on the clock hen she brought in her cups for sipping. I told her to stop the clock she said yes yes yes. After cupping she said done! I asked her what about the 20 minutes of massage that I paid !! She didn't say much but owner directed her to go massage in the next room! So basically they double dipped here! They charged for cupping extra and they did cupping during the time I was supposed to get massage and I paid for that time for massage! When I asked at the end they kind of hushed me away giving me "$5 discount" This place is a rip off please go somewhen else where people are honest. read more

It's great no frill, very relaxing - the masseuse is strong and nice definitely worth it

Used a credit card and no way to enter tip myself. Massage therapist asked how much I wanted to tip, I responded with a 20% tip and she overcharged my card $30 over what I authorized to enter for a tip. When I realized I had been overcharged, I tried calling and left a message with no call back. read more

Very good massage Emy and Sofia . Clean place just a little expensive compared to other massage parlor .

You go to this place for the massage. It's no frills but the massage is great. Strong and gets rid of any tension in the muscles. Good prices too read more

I highly recommend the massages at Golden Hands. They really know what they're doing. Each time I've gone in with aches and pains and come out feeling so much better. It's clean and well priced too. All the masseurs are good..never had a bad one. read more

This is my first bad review ever but the receptionist of this place definitely deserves one. very rude, impolite and ill mannered lady. First of she starts the timer way before the therapist start the massage so tries to sneak away 8-10 mins from a 60 min massage if You don't double check. The way she throws receipts and talk to the customers I am sure this place will have no customers. You Need to learn how to talk to your clients. read more

Amazing experience. Had doubles back to back this past weekend and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you to the staff for taking care of me. read more

Margaret is an angel. Always reads my body correctly and delivers a wonderful massage with care and patience. Margaret will you marry me?

When they ask if you prefer "Light, Medium or Hard pressure" - for the love of sweet baby corn, do not ask for hard. Like another reviewer said, I'm happy I decided to go with "medium pressure" cause I had every intention in asking for "hard pressure" since I had a couple of knots on my shoulders that I wanted resolved. I defintely had to suck it up a couple of times. The massage isn't something you go there to close your eyes and have this relaxing, chill experience - the masseuse was very thorough, got rid of a lot of painful knots and really stretched me out. The hot stone part of the massage was very lovely, relaxing and enjoyable. Clean environment and the price can't be beat, but tip your masseuse well if you are happy with the service. I walked out of the place feeling renewed a bit fuzzy and DEFINITELY sore. read more

This place is very clean and the owner, Mary, is so polite and friendly. The first time I went there, the masseuse who massaged me was named Jenny. She spoke little English but understood me when I told her my problem areas. She knew exactly how to treat my injured areas of my neck and shoulder with just enough pressure to relax the tight areas yet soft enough to sooth the same area after the stronger pressure. I've been going to her ever since and we have established a treatment routine. She remembers my body issues and each massage is better than the last one. With each massage she continues to keep my problem areas loose and is maintaining the positive results she has achieved. Jenny is the best!! Nat read more

I came here for an hour masssge this evening. The cost was 50 bucks which is a very good and reasonable price. However, I was a bit surprised that in the beginning I didn't have to fill out a questionnaire nor did they ask me any questions about what areas I want to targeted. Most of the massage I was on my stomach while the masseuse massage my back and arms and legs. She did a nice job, except for the fact for the first 15 minutes, I didn't really enjoy when I was getting massaged over the blanket. The atmosphere was OK but I've definitely been in environments that I thought were much more relaxing. I would come back again but I would also explore other places in the surrounding area as well. read more

Been here Many times and will keep going back. The masseuse here are absolute trained Guru's!!! They are extremely attentive and will target your areas of need. Once they get to know you after a few times they remember and are really in tune with your areas of need. Mary (Owner/Reception) is incredible. She knows her staff and is always ready to help guide you to the right professional. The pricing is incredible with ZERO pressure to tip (Always give min. 20% + anyway, they are that good) Once a week or every other week is ABSOLUTELY helping me to continue working hard, erasing stress, and keeping me healthy. GOLDEN HANDS IS THE BEST!!!! Thank you read more

Medium massage was very very strong. Made me feel like a new person for the past 2 weeks, plan on going once a month from now on !

I went here a few weeks ago and the service was top quality. Staff was very friendly and professional. Will definitely return for another session. read more

As always this is like a small oasis close to home .... Linda always knows how to reset and rejuvenate my body and focuses on pesky pains or aches without my having to pinpoint those areas. I highly recommended Golden Hands Spa read more

Took my mom here since she's been missing our massage place in Flushing. We made a same day appointment for the room with two tables and Mary was really nice over the phone. This place is no frills, but definitely gets the job done and the massage is worth every penny. We had a bit of trouble finding the entrance at first. The place is on the corner of the shopping center (closer to the outback steakhouse side) and you have to take the stairs up one flight. It was really clean and we went straight into the room once we arrived. The massage itself was great -- they make sure to ask the pressure you want and check in occasionally to see if it's okay. Toward the end they bring out some hot stones. I walked out of there feeling like jello. They got every knot out of my back! It was $110 for a 60 minute couples massage -- ideally cash. They have a punch card for return customers. We'll definitely be back! read more

Awesome place! This is my goto spa. I never have to ask for more pressure. Management and staff are very respectful and accommodating. I'd recommend this place over any of the expensive places!!!!! read more

Amazing. I manage a bar where I regularly stand for over 60 hours a week I was in DESPERATE need of a massage. I had tried one of those chain places months ago with little satisfaction. Golden Hands however was fantastic. Is it super fancy and does it have cucumber infused tears of angels water? No. But what it does have is amazing service. My masseuse was "Elina" she was very kind and asked me more than once about the pressure etc. The room itself was very dimly lit, no music (which was fine with me- I actually hate that weird massage gong/flute/winds crap most places play) and super clean. After the massage they give you a little bottle of water and a loyalty card. I'll def be back to see Elina I literally walked out of the place feeling like I was a) a little drunk or b) just had an awesome lay. Either way it was a definite win. Seriously, book an appointment. You'll thank us later. read more

My husband and I went in for a couples massage this evening. We just walked in and they were able to accomodate us. For the price of $50 each for 60 minutes massage, I think is very well worth it. The pressure was just the right amount for me and same goes for my husband. After the massage, I felt so relax and the knots on my back were gone. The head massage was amazing as well, my headache went away. We will definitely be back!! read more

Tried the 90-minute massage today, I asked for hard/strong massage and Annie more than met my expectation. She did a great job in untangling my knots and loosening tight muscles. Really great service, will plan to be back on a regular basis. read more

I went to this place couple days ago. I just want to say I won't go back again !!! I have pain on my shoulder that is why I'm going to get massage, but I feel nothing after massage. That was a very lazy massage! And she cannot understand me at all!!! Terrible experience ,waste my money and time. read more

Seriously good massage at a less than spa price. Extremely clean facility, and my masseuse was very intuitive. Hot stone finish was a nice surprise. Will definitely return. read more

Shadyyyyyy!! First off you enter from the side and go up a flight of stairs to a door with nothing on it besides an open sign, walk in to what looks like a living room where I was greeted by a woman who barely spoke English. She asked if I wanted a massage. I asked for a menu or price board to which I repeated myself several times as she didn't understand what I was asking for. I them noticed the framed "menu" on the counter w 4 items on it...30, 60, 90 and 120 min massages w prices. I asked about a hand and foot massage and she said "yeah yeah $90" I said no thanks and left. Shady place. Reminded me of a back alley massage parlor in Thailand from the hangover movies. read more

I have been getting massages regularly in the area for about 10 years and have been to around a dozen places. Golden Hands is consistently the best in terms of value and the quality of the massages. Each masseuse (I have had several) has a completely intuitive understanding of the body and how to repair it. They are professional, courteous and hard working. Don't expect a fancy spa-like atmosphere or much conversation, but the masseuses are very well trained and execute their craft with strength and precision. The salon is clean and comfortable and in my opinion they offer the best 60 minute massage in the area. My girlfriend still raves about the couples massage we got together too. read more

This is a very unassuming place, location wise. Nothing fancy, but it is a hidden gem! For $50/hour you get an AMAZING massage. I go once every 1-2 weeks, schedule permitting. My favorite is Amy, she does deep pressure effortlessly (which I need!). I also had a young seeming girl who was very strong (recommended if you really need some extra extra deep tissue. She also does Thai massage elements like stretching). If you ask, they can incorporate hot stones. They also use warm towels before you have to flip over to your back, it's a thoughtful detail. I've been to a lot of massage places, and this one is my favorite in this area. Key for me: I have always been able to get a same-day appointment. Sometimes I've called at 7pm on a Friday or Saturday and they have had no problem squeezing me in. I imagine this will get harder as they become more popular. The staff is all friendly. Seems to be family owned, maybe by a couple? I recommended it to co-worker and she is a regular, too. It's upstairs from a Verizon store, and in the same shopping complex is a Chinese food place called Chen 22, which is convenient for before/after. This place is my regular treat to myself! read more

I really appreciated how hospitable and friendly the staff were. The massage itself was very thorough and really made me want to add more time onto my hour. I came with a friend and we were both satisfied by the massage. read more

I did not find it shady at all in fact I thought it was quite nice. Yes they spoke Mandarin Chinese but I am going to China on an education trip in September so it was good practice. The prices were great and I have paid much more for a lesser quality massage. The therapist was caring and very professional and I would rate the experience one of the best massages in my life read more

massage was good. owner is not very friendly, made me feel like I was doing something wrong for entering....whoever does your massage will look your tip over and comment on it... as if 20% is not good enough or even mandatory.. read more

Visited this place because of all of the positive reviews I read. Massage was okay, but customer service majorly sucked. Could be a cultural thing, but in the US, we appreciate customer service. At least pretend dammit. They were very busy, so maybe it was an anomaly and I had a bad masseuse. However, I am not taking any chances and will never go back there. There are much better options in the area. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE. That's all I'm going to say, don't want to put all my business out there, but the workers are extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. I am a calm person, and I am still mad over what happened yesterday. Take your business elsewhere where they will be respectful of you and your company. read more

I've gone here several times for a massage and they are always great! They are open pretty late which is good for me because I work until the late evening. I've never made an appointment and have always gotten my massage right away! read more

Most of the other reviews nailed it. I was only one in two table room, separated by a curtain. I was given privacy to undress. Glad I said medium pressure, otherwise I would have been crying. A very thorough massage. She really worked on the knots, and along with hot stones, She also used a hot towel at the end to wipe off some of the lotion. I was very impressed. Check Groupon for deals. I got a phenomenal deal, and would surely return. Even full price, 45. Less than Hand and Stone. Highly recommend. read more

Omg love love love this place. Way better than Ya Jie down the street. Prices are unbeatable and Amy really dug deep into my troubled areas. I used to go to Hua Kuang in Edison which is similar, and I've been trying to find my replacement since relocating. I feel like jello pudding... Amazinggggg. read more

I've been getting massages all my life and this is by far one of the best places I have ever been to. Not only are the massages amazing, the prices are more reasonable than anywhere around. What's great too is a 60 minute massage is 60 minutes, not 50. 90 minutes is 90, not 80, and so on. I've had many of the masseuses here and they are all wonderful. They give me a deep tissue massage just like I ask and even stretch me out. The owner is so nice and the place is very clean. Highly recommend! read more
