When I pointed it out, the server was apologetic and offered to remake it, I declined as l didn't want to eat alone, so l shared my husband pizza. (which was very good). The real issue began with the bill. We were charged for the uneaten meal, and when we questioned it, the server said he would have to speak to the manager. The owner stormed over to our table. He was defensive, insisting he'd served 8 other portions that night without issues. When we mentioned we were regulars and l told him the pizza was good, he said l know. Then he actually crumpled up the bill in front of us and walked away. He came back with a new bill and told us to "try other restaurants in Hamilton that would suit us if we just wanted to sample food" I was shocked by this response and asked him about customer service. His response was " I'm the owner of the restaurant, I can do what I want". We were upset by the lack of basic customer service. We paid our bill and tipped our server (who did as fine job), but we won't be returning to a place where the owner treats loyal guests with such hostility.
