Ugh. I put off trying this place for the two years I've lived here, because it's much more expensive than the rest of the neighborhood joints. Since the rest of the Chinese food in the area is so mediocre, I ran out of places to try. First off, $12.75 for a Boneless Sparerib Combo Platter is 10%-20% higher than most other places, so the expectations were high. Over half of the pieces were pure fat and inedible. What a waste of money. I can't believe they actually sliced fat and cooked it. $2.50 to substitute pork lo mein is also $0.50 higher than anywhere else, especially when the only flavor the noodles had was oil...a lot of oil. Combine that with a completely bland wonton soup and a pretty good eggroll that was half the size of anywhere else. Long story short, you pay a lot more here for less. It's criminal to charge what they do for boneless ribs and give you half inedible pieces. Really bad business practice. Plus their containers are not as deep as other places, so they can skim a little more off the top from you without being noticeable. An extra star for being clean and not nasty. read more

I've always ordered from here and it was always the best in my book but recently they've kept on messing up my order. Here's one experience i had, I ordered 8 spring rolls because im allergic to shrimp so spring rolls are my go too. But they confused my order giving me shrimp like you want me to die gosh man. Always friendly, always get the order correct, and of course the most important, everything always tastes delicious. Ok. First of all, I went there with my oldest and best friend. We love looking for "hole in the wall" places with great food and we were not disappointed. The locals kept coming in and talking to the husband and wife owners like family. Always a good sign. The egg rolls were obviously home made (he had the roast pork and I had the vegetable), the Hot and Sour soup was exceptional- a lot of flavor and not just spice, and my eggplant in garlic sauce was delicious. Stopped by the Golden Dragon for the first time and ordered the Happy Family (consisted of lobster, shrimp, beef, chicken and pork), pepper steak, and the cold sesame noodle appetizer. It wasn't bad at all and the service was really friendly. They only offer street parking which isn't their fault but sucks nonetheless. I'd return again and try other dishes. Friendly, clean place. Really good food, isn't too greasy like Chinese food can be sometimes at other places. They always seem to busy, which can be a good sign about the business, but also means there's a bit of a wait for your food. Only downside (for me) - last few times I tried calling in an order but their credit card machine wasn't working so I had to cancel the orders. I don't usually have cash on me so I prefer places that take cards. I'm even willing to order more just to meet the charge minimum. So it sucks when I can't pay with my card. But they do have my favorite - bbq spare rib tips - so I'll keep coming here LOL. read more
