No ginger, no spices, no garlic. Bland and disgusting food. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

However, I also recommend the Shrimp with Broccoli, egg rolls, beef with broccoli and the shrimp lo mein. As they are all very tasty! I love their brown gravy it is dark, think and very flavorful. I like it over white rice. This is a take out only restaurant. So, you order through a plastic window and they only take cash. Please don't doubt the taste of the food based on how the restaurant looks.

It's a small Chinese restaurant, and very clean . The lady behind the counter was very kind , as we spoke while I waited on my food . I ordered the sugar wings with pork fried rice $11, and a separate order of the sugar wings by itself $7 (8 pieces). I couldn't wait until I got home to try them, so I started munching on the wings in the car . The wings are sweet, but not overly sweet as the salt from the wings give it a great balance. The sugar wings and pork fried rice was also very good . The rice was fresh, and paired well with the wings . I will definitely return in the future on a cheat day lol. If your area it's a must try, I would say it's worth the travel as well.

Their service is amazing always, they are very attentive and make sure to make their customers feel welcome and appreciated. Food here is always delicious and made to perfection!! Definitely a must to try different appetizers, their soup dumplings are to die for!!! I wish there were more locations of this in Manhattan. We made an order at the desk before we seated ourselves and for a Saturday evening, there was quite a bit of open tables which was great. I ordered the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles tasted a bit like ramen noodles but they were able to grab all the delicious and garlic flavored soup. I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.
