This is the same Golden Customs that is now in Pine Island, NY and was in Nanuet as well. Ed is a hack and a scam artist to say the least. He will make a good sales pitch by telling you about all the work he has done for famous people, but its not him doing the work. He has had the same cars in his shop for 3+ years with no progress other than a different color of primer so the owner thinks something is being done. He hires guys with zero experience and wants to charge top dollar work. He wont give you a price to do anything other than by the hour. He will tell you that he worked on your car for 10 hours, but when you stop by to see the progress, the OWNER is never around. Been to his shop 7 TIMES (yes, 7) in the last 2 weeks.....no Ed. This is "supposedly" a full time, professional "high end" shop, charging top dollar for sub par work. If he does take a deposit (in my case he did, then decided to charge hourly), that deposit is to pay for the other cars that have been sitting around....or McDonalds.....not your car.
If you do stop by, ask him why and how long the cars have been sitting around. He will tell you they havent paid him so he isnt doing work. They truth is, he isnt doing work, so the owners arent paying him.
