Favourite sushi restaurant in Peterborough…read more Very clean, well run, and casual atmosphere. Sushi is very fresh and very decent quality - even compared to non all-you-can-eat places in the area. Therefore, great value! Service has always been good for me. Perhaps somewhat of a language barrier, but they always seem very friendly and patient! And some of the speediest service I've ever seen at a sushi restaurant! Huge selection also. Only a few items which are only available on weekends, but otherwise, more things too chose from than you could try in ten visits!! Definitely the best selection in the area. Highly recommended!

Tonight we went with the special individual orders. But usually custom order. The noodle dishes and soups are fantastic. But when I was at Chinese Dumplings, I was extremely impressed with not only the quality of the food but also the prices and quantity as well. The hot and sour soup had good heat to it but what impressed me the most was how huge it was. My shrimp dumplings were also first rate. The service was extremely polite and the free lemon water, peanuts, and watermelon made for very nice touches. This one's a keeper.

On weekends, they focus on takeout, and we were the only dine-in table at the time. The server didn't refill our water, and we had to request it. The maki tray presentation is nice with a spinning tray, and the rolls were good, but the rice quality was just okay. The Pho had good broth but subpar meat quality. Never had pho that would put chicken breast in it. Sadly, I won't return.

But old school really counts towards the vibe! Well, our reigning champ is in Havelock (Garden). But, unfortunately was not open today. I looked at the reviews on Yelp and found Wee Wok looked like a good place to try. I stopped in at Wee Wok and placed the order and within 20 minutes I was back on the road. Probably an hour and a half later I was home. Food was all still hot enough - they double bagged everything for me to retain some heat for the drive. To start on the food, I have to say it was all very good. I rarely want to give a 5/5 because there is always the possibility of finding better and now what do you do? Had: Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls, Szechuan Beef, Wonton Soup, Mushroom Fried Rice, Almond Chicken Soo Gui (gravy on the side) and Shanghai Noodles. (Note) My wife was Covid+ at the time so her sence of taste and smell was off. But she loved the comfort of the Chinese Food. And gave it 2 thumbs up. I Found the spring roll to taste unique (herbs?), not unpleasant just unexpected. I liked that it was different. My wife could not detect anything. The Won Ton Soup was tasty and the pork was thick and very tender. Very good, maybe the best ever. The Szechuan Beef was a bit light on beef, but I loved the sauce on the fried rice. Rice was good, Egg Rolls were good, Shanghai noodles were fine, not spectacular. Almond Chicken - great thick crunchy coating, not really greasy. All and all very enjoyable, and was prepared quickly. The staff was friendly. Only thing to be aware of is that I think it's Take out only, there is no dining room. Will happily return
