Trenton Ontario, cute little town along the water. However, very small, therefore not much to do nor many restaurant options. Therefore we didn't have high expectations for Thai Sushi. The restaurant is pretty on the inside, not cheesy. They were very full and busy, nevertheless we were greeted and seated promptly. Our main server was very sweet, so were all the other ones. They have à la cart menu, and all you can eat option. The all you can eat is prepared to order, not the buffet style, therefore the food is fresher and better, however it takes longer. The price for the all you can eat is fair, and I think it is the best option, even if you don't want to eat too much. We were pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food. The sushi was good. The Thai and Chinese dishes were good. What I like the best is that the dishes were not sweet, like they are in other Asian restaurants. For example, I love Pad Thai, but I had to stop ordering it, because it is always too sweet. Not here. The same with the sesame chicken. Now, the Pad Thai is not the typical one, with the thick noodles; here they serve it with thin noodles. It also does not come with all the garnishes that it usually comes with, ie, peanut, lemon, etc. UPDATE: we came back to Trenton 1 year later, July 2019, and ate here again. Same good experience. I went here for lunch today. I'm not often in Trenton, but I will go back to Thai Sushi the next time I visit the town. The decor is lovely, and the atmosphere is peaceful. There was some quiet light jazz playing in the background, not loudly enough to hinder conversation. I ordered the mango chicken at $10.50. It came with miso soup, and I also had green tea, for which I was not charged any extra. The soup was good. The main course was generous. There was plenty of chicken, plenty of mango, and plenty of cashews, amidst other vegetables (red and green peppers, onions, mini-corn cobs, etc.) and a sauce. There was also a side of steamed rice. My only criticism was that the sauce seemed too sweet for my taste, although I know it would appeal to many other people. The next time I come, I intend to try the sushi. read more

Just found this place last week. Could not wait to come back. It's clean, the staff are very friendly, and the food is very good. I eat at sushi and Thai restaurants on a regular basis, and I feel this one will be among my top choice. We drove 45 minutes just for this place. Well worth the drive. There aren't many sushi restaurants in Trenton. As a matter of fact, this may be the only sushi restaurant in Trenton. This isn't a ayce buffet. The items are moderately price, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is nice and clean. The quality of the food is on par with sushi restaurants in Toronto. Make sure you try their deep fried ice cream if you come here because it was delicious! read more

While it would likely not rate at five stars in Vancouver, where some of my favorite sushi restaurants are, give the location, the lack of variety in restaurant choices and the above average quality of the food, Thai Sushi earns a solid five stars. Perhaps the most impressive characteristic of this restaurant is the excellent qualify of the food they produce as well as the exceptional portions sizes compared to most Ontario à la carte sushi joints. They should also be commended on using a good qualify fancy rice, thus adding to the sensation of quality food. Worst experience ever. Was invite to join friends for lunch today, the service was horrible . I figured because I ordered something different then everyone else my meal was taking a bit longer. Our waitress never came back to check on us only when everyone was done , she then asked if that will be all. I asked if I was going to get my lunch , her reply was sorry I forgot to out yours in, but she could do that now she. No point when we had to get back to work And everyone else was finished. She was going to have it made so I could take it with me and not charge me for it. Be very careful they do not like to give you the bill so you can check it as she handed me the machine to pay , yes they still charged me for my friend when most places would not because of the mistake they made. I thought it was rather expensive for her meal. When I asked for the bill she was reluctant to give it to me. She actually charged me for something I didn't get. Most places would give you the meal to take with you and not charge for the other because of their error. When asked to speak to someone in charge I couldn't , apparently no one is in charge. Be very careful. Check your bills. Even the other couple we were with had to ask to see their bill as she wasn't going to give it to him. If I could put zero rating I would. read more

Came down to Trenton to see family and decided we really need a bite to eat.. Garlic Shrimp was great according the guys. Us girls both had the Bangkok Street Style Pad Thai with 1-Tiger Shrimp 2- tiger shrimp and chicken. All I can say is yummmmmmy. They also do Sushi a la Cart or All you can Eat. We're going to be heading back for a Sushi lunch soon. Dinner for 4 with tea $58.00. Restaurant was clean, well lit and staff was helpful and very nice. Having been in there dozens of times (for good reason) I'm pleased to recommend it; everything I've tried on the menu has been elegantly prepared and enjoyable. The service has been consistently pleasant and efficient, so long as you're comfortable with the time it takes to get food right. The interior is understated and usually fairly quiet; it is a good place to go for conversation with a meal. There is room for parties of 10+ also. Parking is usually ok in the area but it means walking a block or two. read more

I ordered the Red Curry Chicken, and the chicken was raw, aside from this, the sushi itself is good, but the Thai menu itself leaves a lot to be desired. I came here last night and the restaurant was clean and had simple nice decor.. Definitely reminds me of of a Thai restaurant but a Thai restaurant with sushi!? At first I was skeptical of trying this place because I was really craving sushi and Japanese is where I should be heading.. but nope... came here anyway and I'm glad I did! I got the miso soup and the seaweed salad as an app and both were Fresh and tasted really good. I asked for buttering sashimi and instead got Salmon sashimi.. I don't care for Salmon sashimi.. my friend ended up eating that and I ate the Tuna sashimi.. the sashimi is good and Fresh but they cut the fish way to Thick and in Big pieces.. I prefer my sashimi thinly cut and not in big chunks, it was still good though, I just think they should take that into consideration. I ordered the Spicy Salmon Roll, Spider Roll and black dragon roll.. all of them were good (although I didn't see soft she'll crab at all, in any of the rolls?) I'm really giving this place 5 stars for the Spicy Salmon Roll!! It was huge and Delicious and they don't cheap out on the salmon! The sauce all over it, just made the dream come True. I had green tea and it was good as well... another reason for the 5 stars.. when we took the rest of the food to go (I got full so quickly) and she packed everything one by one for us, in front of us! That is what you call customer service. A lot of Toronto sushi places should take notes from them. The lady was nice and not pushy and didn't rush us. Me and my friend were both impressed by that because usually we have to pack our own items to go at sushi restaurants and she didn't Throw the bill on the table, lolllll.. I recommend.
