Went in after school at Fleming college for their all you can you eat deal. 5/7 of us Got all you can eat. Two guys were not hungry as they had ate prior to coming. They were asked to leave the restaurant because they would not purchase the bufffet meal. Offered to pay for drinks and other things as well but were asked to leave or spend the $27. We've always liked Hockey Sushi. It's not a high end sushi restaurant, but I've liked their food. Service had not been spot on for a while, and we noticed the amount of rice in the sushi pizzas had gone up, so we stopped ordering it. This trip however, the service was wonderful, the food was good, and it felt like they went above. Rather than simply bringing our food, it was very decoratively presented. Each plate brought felt less like being given our dinner, but that thought was put into it, and the person preparing it was proud of what they did, and enjoyed doing it. Thank you! read more

Pretty good sushi for outside of Toronto but something a bit lacking. Could be rice was just packed a bit tight or seasoning a bit weak. Had take out of several different selections. All seemed fresh. Order came with a couple of drinks so asked for a coke - it came in two fountain cups. So a little odd. A good place for quick service and decent sushi or other Asian foods. The addition of IPad ordering was genius as there was frequently a language barrier between the servers and the clients. Sushi came out lightening fast and was very well prepared. The rice was still slightly warm and the ratio of contents to rice was perfect. The other types of food are of typical quality (pad Thai was good). They seem very serious about charging for wasted food and there is signage everywhere...including over the urinals. Favourite sushi restaurant in Peterborough. Very clean, well run, and casual atmosphere. Sushi is very fresh and very decent quality - even compared to non all-you-can-eat places in the area. Therefore, great value! Service has always been good for me. Perhaps somewhat of a language barrier, but they always seem very friendly and patient! And some of the speediest service I've ever seen at a sushi restaurant! Huge selection also. I have always enjoyed it there until I brought my son's 17th birthday party there and one friend is 6'4" and heavy set. Everybody except this 17 yr old kid got served in reasonable timing and most if not all of the food they ordered. This kid was the first to order in our group. He was brought a few onion rings and a few French fries. He kept trying to get the attention of the servers and they blatantly ignored him. When one of us called a server they responded and we asked about his food they would say "another 30 mins" over and over. This kid called his mom who spoke to management 1.5 hrs into our visit who then sent him 2 deep fried dumplings of the 6 he ordered. My sister said "bring him the 5 bowls of ice cream he ordered and we're leaving". He tried ordering thing repeatedly yo try to remind about his orders and they still brought nothing. 2 hrs and he still didn't get everything he ordered. I am not going back! Came in for dinner time on a slow day. Slow receiving my order as most staff are sitting down and watching their tv shows. Staff not that friendly. You have to order by telling them what you want whenever they decide to come around, as to other places who have tablets or order sheets.... but this is a small country town so I'm okay with it (Being from a larger city). Food was pretty good, when we arrived as a group of three the waitress informed us if we wanted to sit together we would all need to order the " 25 dollar all you can eat special ". We weren't that hungry , but she insisted and after some discussion we were told we'd be given a discount. We ordered , the food came out quick and was pretty good. I just went to hockey sushi tonight for the first time and should have left. The inside to the left was full of pop and stock or supplies and it was just junky and messy looking. As I said down at the booth, I noticed it was marked up and very old looking. The carpets were disgusting and full of dirt balls that you could actually see you from just sitting at your table. Right then I honestly should've left but I was so hungry that I thought I would chance it. The food was not good at all. I have eaten sushi for about 10 years and this must've been the most bland sushi that I have ever been given. I actually kept the Temporel dipping sauce to the side so that I could use it for everything. There's also a huge lack of vegetables in any of the rolls or hand rolls. Regardless of that, when I went to pay there was mounds of stuff on the back counter where they had heat lamp set up to prep the food. I instantly popped a bunch of times and got in my car. I don't even want to think about the food that I actually ate or how it was cooked. Very disappointed and this is coming from a woman that really love sushi.
