His response was that they have to charge because they "spend more on the sauce because of the container and lid." While I understand businesses have costs, the explanation and the way it was communicated felt unnecessary and dismissive. What's frustrating is that this was never about the $0.61. It was about customer appreciation and the bigger picture. A returning customer who regularly spends $50, $60, $70, or even $100 per visit should feel valued. Instead, it felt like the focus was on nickel-and-diming a loyal customer over something so small. Unfortunately, because of this experience, Bluefin has lost a customer who has supported their business and planned to continue coming back. Customer service and how you treat people matters, and this interaction left a very negative impression.
