This location is absolutely terrible. The customer service is always the worst, your order will be wrong, and the food is old and stale. I'll never spend another penny here. I'll be happy when they close it down, actually. read more

I went to Golden Chick on Wednesday, Feb 25th. I ordered 2 dinners. 1 catfish and shrimp, the other catfish, with 2 sides instead of a drink. I ordered Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. I got home to find out they did not put the coleslaw in the bag with the dinners. This has happened in the past. The employee brought the dinners out to my car, one would have thought she'd had checked to order. When I got home, I called the number to the store. The recording stated that the mailbox was full. I tried this number several times. I like Golden Chick, but tired of my order shortages! Thank you for listening. One unsatisfied customer! read more

The food is actually good. But the service at the midlothian location is absolutely terrible. The shift lead or whatever she is is DISGUSTING TO COSTUMERS and shouldn't even work there. It is nobody's fault you have to do your JOB at your job but she is terrible. She mainly only speaks Spanish and had blonde hair she keeps in a bun. Please beware the service is almost laughable. I wish i could give NO STARS read more

I heard the dirty rice was great at this Fast Food Restaurant. it was less than desirable & the golden chicken sandwich was the worst thing I've probably eaten in my entire very long life. Do they serve real chicken? Do they ever change the oil in their fryer? It tasted & smelled like old oil & I am still not convinced they use real chicken. I may have eaten here years ago, wasn't impressed then, should have stayed far away. I just hope my body can forgive me for eating pure crap. This was at May Ave in NW OKC. read more

I'm not in the habit of reviewing fast food unless I receive truly terrible service OR exceptional service. This review falls in the exceptional bucket. My last few visits to pick up my sons chicken tender meals have been good, but today as I was picking up a family fried chicken meal because my husband was craving, I got really really great service through the drive through. I didn't get that "anything else, anything else, okay anything else" rushed tone when I was ordering. When I asked for the seasoning packets that make stuff a little spicy, the person at the window (I think it was the same person that took my order over the intercom) actually offered to make the fried chicken spicy if I would rather. I thought that it was really lovely to offer something to make my meal better. They had to whip up a batch of fries for my order and this person came to the window and apologized for my wait. Really great manners. Good job hiring the right people Golden Chick! Editing and removing a star. After I drove off I realized I was missing and order of okra and had to go inside and grab it. Not a huge deal but I was really disappointed made it all the way home and realized that our fried chicken family meal was missing all 6 rolls. The people are SUPER nice but at $40+ dollars, I shouldn't be missing any food. read more

Holy cow, if there was a way to give zero stars, I would. We went to this location and spent nearly $70. The gal working the drive thru truly didn't like her job, and made sure that we all were treated the way she felt about her job. We tried to look past that, as people have bad days. The food though, the food was a disaster, and we can't excuse the poor customer service and the subpar food. The baked chicken was cold, not just room temp or warm, but cold and dry, like it had been sitting for hours. The french fries were cold, again, not even room temp, but chilly to the touch. The sauces that we asked for weren't there. The food quite literally wasn't edible and we ended up throwing it away, to avoid the disgusting, cold, dry stuff that they tried to pass off to us, and to avoid getting a possible sickness with aged old food that was poorly cooked. When I tried to contact the store, I was given "free" food (2 meals, but we ordered 4 that couldn't be eaten) but had only 7 days to use it. First of all, free food to a place that gave us horrible food, didn't seem inviting, and to be forced back w/in 7 days when the experience was so bad and still so fresh just wasn't in the cards. There shouldn't be a time limit on customer service, and you shouldn't feel pressured to go back to a place that treated you so badly in such a short period of time. I don't know if you've ever gotten sick from a restaurant before, even if it wasn't the fault of the restaurant, but that was the last place that you ate at, and you attribute that food with your sickness...that is how we are feeling. Eat here at your own risk, we will not being going back to this franchised Golden Chick. read more

Ordered a 2piecec thigh with fries a dirty rice and 3 wicked wings ... The fries were not cooked they were so soft and light soaked with grease I didn't not eat them ... If you want to truly ask me what can be improved I don't think that this review would allow me enough words!!! We give y'all a chance again and after waiting 15 mins for our chicken you give us fried rather than rotisserie!!!! The whole reason we drove to this chicken place was for the rotisserie. The manager hands me the bag.....says out of her mouth... 8 piece rotisserie chicken and dirty rice. To which I said yes. We get all the way home to serve my Mom ( that can't have fried chicken) and open the box and it's all fried chicken. Then you try to call them back and of course..... They don't answer the phone! Never again. Family had to talk me out of drive another 15mins back up there. Only go here if you want to spend your money and they dictate what you get. A game of food Russian roulette. read more

This place is a hot mess! We've been several times, mostly through drive through. Always an issue with our order.

Today I went to Golden chick and asked for the #3 combo, but I would like all white meat. However, I was refused and told that I could not order the # 3 because it was a mixed combo. I explained that I have always ordered the #3 for the last 2 years since I been in Midlothian, and I have never been refused that they usually charge me a sub charge for purchasing all white meat and that would be okay with me. However today I was told that I could not purchase an all-white combo because it's not on the menu. Due to that I will not be visiting Golden chick anymore. This is the first time in history that at any chicken location that I was refused service due to me wanting to make changes to my order that I was willing to pay for. read more

It's hit or miss for me with this Golden Chick location. I've had hot, crispy chicken and sides on most days but other days it seems to be the last of what they plan to sell for the day. The chicken is not the best but not the worst either. The service is always good but the lines can be extremely long. read more

This location needs serious attention. Customer service is not even bad it's awful. Golden chick is one of our favorites but this location just keeps disappointing. We decided to try again, hoping the service would be better this time and our order would be actually right. We stopped by this afternoon and waited so long that we turned off the car, we just decided to wait. We made sure not to drive off until we checked the bag, order was all there. But we ended up with a hair inside the bread, my daughter bit the bread and the long hair came out of inside as she pulled it out with her teeth. That did it for all of us, completely disgusted! We threw away our food. Called the restaurant but no answer. So disappointed with this place. read more

My friend loves the hot wings here. On a fast food whim, the hubs and I stopped by last night and ordered hot wings and the fried jalapeño poppers. They warned us it would take 13 minutes. (Hey, sure, why not? At least you know it's fresh fried.). It was less than 13 minutes and they were great. Plump juicy chicken, hot, crispy! And, that special sauce that they make is legit. Kudos! Great job during this post pandemic employee apocalypse. read more

Awesome! We read the reviews but we decided to give it a try, we really wanted fried chicken. So glad we did! We found our new local fried chicken joint! We ordered the 8 piece dinner with 2 sides and 4 rolls. The chicken was fresh from the fryer, so were the sides. The rolls were fresh as well. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We went inside to order. We got home to eat, chicken was great! Hot, crispy and moist. Thankful we have someplace local! read more

Worst golden chick I have ever been too! We have given them multiple tries and every time are order is wrong or something isn't in the box! The wait is forever and still they forget sides, rolls ect. Very disappointing! They charge extra for sides that chicken express doesn't and the food is pretty much the same! I guess we will stick with the other places in town in. I can't see paying anymore for food we don't get and I'm not driving all the way back when I get home. read more

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Honestly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered my food and was missing a whole meal (4 piece tender with corn nuggets so about a $15 meal) and called them and the lady accused me of lying and kept insisting she packed the order. Finally after she kept cutting me off she rudely asked me if I was going to pick it up.... I spent $50 for one meal and 2 breasts... absolutely ridiculous. I will never be returning to this location. read more

Came in to eat here. Clean, friendly, tap water or sparkling but no filtered water. ?? Weird. Also, on a Monday, they advertise 1/2 off but when we ordered what the sign says, we had to pay full price. Btw, we ordered the 18 pc chicken and rolls. read more

I've never had a good experience at this location. It seems like the workers there don't care and the food is always poorly made.

A new Golden Chick in town to compete with Chicken Express. Disappointed is the best way I can describe my feelings. I got the 3 piece catfish with coal slaw. As you can see in my pic, the catfish are not fillets. They are very small cut in half fillets. The coal slaw was ok. The rolls are good. Don't waist your time on this $9+ (after taxes) ripoff. Go to Chicken Express. Larger fillets as well as most of the time you get an extra fillet at no extra cost. read more

Finally after calling and getting corporate involved I finally got my money that was 5 months of service. Not sure I would of ever got it from them unless I got the corporate office involved. The owner needs a leason on how to run a business cause this is not how to run one.... The reviews speak very badly about food and service. I have built my business off service and treat others how you like to be treated. Best of luck I want be doing any more business there. read more

Just wanted to give a review because the last time I reviewed here it was not so good. This time however I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't been in a long time because they were always out of everything or other problems. Today I went and ordered four meals and they all were correct and really good. Not sure what changes happened but I was impressed. Hopefully they stay consistent and I can eat there more frequently. read more

If I could give them a Zero star I would, multiple times they have messed my order. Now I try again and they are "apparently" out of Zing Sauce, Gravy, Zing packets, and Honey Mustard. Also you can't get a extra roll for some dumb reason, then wanna also say catfish is a 10 minute wait after I waited 30 minutes in line. Still have yet to leave because i'm waiting on my food 45 minutes later. Will never go back to this location. They are dumb and don't have their stuff together. read more

Update: Golden Chik business, we've filled your contact form out twice and never received a message. I understand you'd like to appear as of you care (since you provide the same auto response to every bad review) but responding without the intent of remedying the situation only further pisses people off. Not a good move in a capitalistic environment. read more

If zero stars were an option, I'd give this place zero stars. I do not recommend this location. We ordered our meal through the mobile app and waited 40 minutes in the drive thru line to get our food. They also forgot one of our drinks. When we got out of the car to go inside to tell them about it, the doors were all locked! There was no way we were going to wait in that line again. There were about 5 cars in line. HORRIBLE! Never supporting this location, again. read more

Stopped in last night about 7:00pm (6/2/21) to pickup some catfish to take home. The inside area had all their lights off & I could tell quickly they were concentrating only on the drive through service. A woman walked in before I did & we stood there for a minute or two and only got a few looks from the crew, no one stepped up to take our order. Typical pathetic fast food service. I left and went to Taco Bell for more typical lousy fast food service. Guess I should have stayed put. Nah, skip both places next time.... read more

Awful. Forgot part of my order and when I realized I called I was told the manager would make it up to me the next day if I came by and would have my missing items. Great over the phone. Showed up today and waited forever in the drive thru for a response. Told to pull up to the window.. all to wait for 5 minutes for no one to ever come to it. Pulled around to side of building to go inside. Door was locked with worker outside on her phone saying she was the only one working. But there was a man inside sitting there staring at me that clearly worked there. Would not recommend. read more

This restaurant sucks and the customer service is HORRIBLE. Managers, if there's any have no concept of what their supposed too do? Crew members are rude and it took patience to deal with them. I expect to get a warm welcome and a thank you for coming into your restaurant not have to watch and listen to your employees argue with each other. When i finally got my food I really couldn't enjoy it due to the experience we had. With so many Chicken restaurants in the area, this restaurant will continue to get minimal ratings and continue to lose customers until the owner decides to take action. We will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

If you want to burn up your whole lunch break sitting in a drive thru line then this is the place for you. One problem I see is, as soon as you pull up to the speaker they ask you to hold every time without fail. They are collecting money during this time from the car in front of you I guess. If they would multitask like other fast food establishments and go ahead and take your order so the cook can start on it while they are taking money or even just before, then I think a lot of lag would be cut out. Make sure you remind them to give you a fork for your salad and napkins otherwise, you'll be eating it with your fingers and licking the rance off after...Other then that, the food is great! Needs improvement. read more

I understand being short staffed or not having enough people to work. But I came here at 10am because their doors say they open at 10am and so does google. I really enjoy chicken. It's my favorite food by far, so whenever I heard that Golden Chick was coming to town, I was understandably thrilled.. and wrongfully so.
