Best Golden Chick in DFW. Food is always fresh and staff is always friendly. The restaurant smells good and it is clean. I recommend ordering ahead, giving them time to prepare the food fresh for you. Has not disappointed me yet and I have been a regular for quite some time. read more

The fish serving sizes are ridiculous !!! I ordered a 3 piece fish dinner and they practice gave me 1 strip and 2 nuggets. For $14.00 the soda was flat and the fries were ok. The taste of the food was good. The lady at the drive through window as nice and accommodating, it's a new location so it seems clean and nice. read more

Extremely poor service messed my order up would not answer the phone and when I came the next day wouldn't replace my order.

Just ordered spicy tenders here. Lately they've been barely putting any spice on it so I asked for extra spice. Paid extra money for it, got my stuff, and it looks just as plain and bland as if I had never asked for extra spice. in some spots there were spice, but not like an impressive amount, and in many other places there was just zero spice. really annoyed I had to pay extra for no reason read more

I am so confused.... How does this place remain open. The drive through has to be the slowest ever and even with the extra time you spend there 9 out of 10 your order will still be wrong, read more

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the local golden chick the manager was very nice and gave me great customer service I ordered the 24 wings and 4 rolls with a funnel cake each wing was seasoned to perfection and the meal was very enjoyable for me and my family I didn't catch his name but he runs the place great guy! It's fine! It's fine, unlike what some of the recent review say. $9.73 for a filling 6 wing meal. The batter was well seasoned. The chicken tasted great. The fried okra was freshly fried and crisp despite not being super crispy as I prefer. The service was fine and my meal came out reasonably fast. For this visit, I have zero complaints: full five stars. read more

When to grab lunch for my family on 7/22/2025 around 2:45. My total was about 50 something dollars, wake up this morning checking my account like normal just to see this establishment charged me 61.00. Call to speak with a manager on duty to resolve the issue & his nonchalant attitude mad it as if my issue didn't matter. I wouldn't go to this establishment unless you want to be charged a completely different amount than they tell you at the window read more

I wouldn't do the drive-through and honestly the chicken does have potential but when I had the chicken was definitely old. I still ended up eating it because I pay for it but as I get to my third chicken strip, I noticed a big ass piece of hair on my chicken no BS. I took a sip of my Pepsi and a piece of fingernail came up. never again will I go to a golden chick I was appalled read more

Got 2 family size meals and the man at the window was acting like he hated his life and gave us 1 ranch and 1 honey mustard after we asked for it. Always disappointed when I get home to find out that what I ordered is not in the bag. I have complained to them on several occasions but to no avail. You don't get what you paid for because they forget to put it in the bag. You don't get what you specified (ie breast and you get a thigh). I now have to check the bag before I leave the store for completion. I now need to open the carton to look at the food to see if it's right. Not worth it. read more

The runner came out I ordered 2 tenders, okra, and 1 dinner roll for my kid. He said "a kids meal?" I said sure if it comes with all that. I pay, I get my bag. I check it. No dinner roll. I say hey I asked for a dinner roll. I fully expected him to say "'my bad and hand me one". He instead said "your meal doesn't come with one it will be 75 cents". Ok whatever man I don't have time to deal with this. I hand my card back to him. He says "I can't swipe for anything under a dollar". Ok man....listen y'all screwed this up not me. You are telling me I need to pay. I'm not arguing but now you won't take my method of payment. He says "it's all good because we didn't charge you for a roll and you didn't get one" You are missing the point sir we are not "all good". My kid wants a dinner roll. I ordered a dinner roll. We are now having a fallout over 75 cents. He says "you can buy 2 dinner rolls and I can swipe your card" I do it because I'm thinking about the 10 cars behind me and how unfair it is to them for me to have a long drawn out conversation at the window. Swipe my card and let me speak to the owner I see her back there. (I know she's the owner because I'm a semi-frequent customer at least twice a month). She comes over I quickly explain the scenario she stares at me blankly. So much for that.... You chose your hill to die on. Any other establishment hands me the dinner roll and trusts me that I ordered one. You chose to dig your heels in on 75 cents and then refuse my payment and in the end make me purchase two dinner rolls against my will. Now you get a 1 star review and no more twice a month revenue from me. It's your business and your choice but I would reevaluate your policies around a 75 cent dinner roll ‍ read more

Golden Chicken Customer Service. I went to Golden Chick on 380 and had the worst customer service experience ever. First the guy taking the order was playing in his hair, then after finally taking my order he was soooo slow on getting my order bc he was watching tv from behind the register. Yes they had a movie playing in the lobby that all the employees was watching instead of doing their job. The manager and owner should be embarrassed. I was so upset bc I love their food and normally I don't have any issues but they have to do better. read more

I played a two hour tennis match today and a Fletcher Corny Dog was to be my celebratory meal. I drove 20 minutes to this location. I waited another 1/2 hour in line! No "fast food" should ever take this long. One car ahead and two behind left. I'm the sucker that stayed, with only two cars ahead. Still it took a frickin' insane amount of time. I ordered the corn dog meal. The corn dog was burnt and bitter. The hot dog was also flavorless probably because it was overwhelmed by the burnt coating. The hot dog should be smoky and salty and the coating should be slightly sweet. The coating was also too thick. I drank my Dr. Pepper and had a few soggy fries. This meal cost over $8.50 and it went into the trash. Not only will I not visit here again, I am unmotivated to go to a Fletcher pop up if this is what they will be serving. I can get a better, faster corn dog from Sonic. read more

I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and the bun was not just a little stale, it was hard as a rock. Sorry but in this case two more wrongs don't make a right. Wanted something relatively quick and an easy place to get to with 380 traffic. This time they made my Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with a chicken thigh seasoned for the task. Although the flavor was good, this was not the juicy chicken breast I was looking for, and biting into bones was rather frustrating. However, this visit the catfish was simply wonderful, thick and perfectly cooked. The real disappointment was when I went to the counter to pickup a cone for the ice cream machine. It was like the staff was seeing a ghost: no one would make eye contact, employees just get walking left and right Infront of me, and the staff had clearly been put on-edge with me just standing there waiting. When finally an employee came from the back to speak to me, I was told the ice cream machine was broken. No sign was on display, and I could have sworn I saw ice cream accumulated at the nozzle. I don't know hot long this machine has been out of service or when it will be repaired. Inside seating at this location has a column of tables along the windows that are not at all centered under the lights. One of the TV screens was just showing an error. Some other game-type item in the corner near the entrance has a sign indicating it was out of order. No clue for how long, but I believe it may be out of service since my last visit months ago. Two trips and two orders that had serious mistakes. No real indication of any concern or pride by the staff or management in their service. I think we are done with location and will have to find an alternative. read more

Avoid this location at all cost. The entire staff there is rude, unprofessional, and ghetto. They're not approachable, takes a while to comprehend what your asking them and the food has taken an all time low in quality for me. Oily fries, over battered chicken, missing items. I will never order here again and that's saying something because I love chicken and it's just a mile away. This is how my wife's order came. Why are the fries out of the bag? read more

The best thing about the place is the employee's, dishonest ownership. would Only recommend the chicken tenders are good to eat.

So many restaurants now just have staffing issues, or people that don't care... came by for dinner- ordered 15 mixed pieces, said I'll have to wait 15-20 minutes. I said thanks I'll pass and left to go somewhere else. If your restaurant can't even prepare and cook your mainstay for dinner rush, just close..... just close. Dinner rush is there for a reason, people want to get their food, then leave. I like the chicken, but not ok with the apathy would rather eat at home. read more

Went through the drive through and they told me to drive around to the front because there was a 4 minute wait for the tenders. They forgot about me for 20 minutes. This place is out of our way but since my son bragged about it, I needed to try. Ordered dark chicken but had to wait 20 mins to cook. Also ordered catfish. We visited Golden Chick tonight a little before 9pm and the man came to our window to take our order. He then went inside to put the order in and we waited in line for about 20 minutes. We get to the window at 9:15 and the man working the window said "I don't think we will have roasted chicken" which was the main item we ordered. He then said "would you like fried? It'll take 10 minutes" we said no we do not want fried. He said "well we don't have roasted. It will take 21 minutes to cook it and that will be almost closing time" 9:15 plus 21 minutes would've been 9:36pm they close at We asked for 4 pieces of roasted chicken not just 1. So they should've went ahead and cooked it or at least came out and told us and not made us wait in line for almost 20 minutes after ordering! WELLL UPDATE- we went back to try again and 2 hrs before closing they charged us for our food we wait 20 minutes and THEENNNN they inform us that they only have 1 roasted chicken breast! This location was a big disappointment. We ordered a fish dinner. It was over cooked and there was a tiny piece of fish inside all the overcooked breading. They asked if we wanted sauce then didn't put any in the bag. We also had to park and wait for 20 minutes. We won't be back. read more

Two terrible experiences and I'm done. The first, I'm sitting in the drive thru in front of the menu, 1 person ahead of me at the window. For at least ten minutes no one says anything on the menu speaker. No one comes up to our car. When I get to the window the person working is surprised that I haven't ordered yet. Weird because it's his job to take the orders. Anyways while I'm telling him my order he's turning around not paying attention. Surprise surprise the order comes and one of the meals is a completely different than what we ordered. The second, based on the last time, we thought it would be a good idea to order online. So we get there when it's supposed to be ready. Go thru the drive thru. It isn't ready yet so pull around to the front and we'll bring it out. Ok no problem. 15 minutes later I conclude that they've simply forgotten about us, which they had. So I go inside. I tell the cashier I had an online order and I've been waiting outside for 15 minutes. No words. He just turns around and grabs the order, which was sitting in a heater where they keep food warm. He makes a drink, which we didn't order. Hands me the bag of food. Again no words. We ordered jalapeños and there was a bag of them on a table behind him. So when I get the bag I look thru it and ask, are the jalapeños in here? What does he say? Again, he says nothing. He just *shrugs*. This is the guy they chose to be up front talking to people. He's the best they had. That really says a lot. There wasn't a single employee there that looked remotely competent. I can't go back because I simply don't trust these people to make my food. read more

First time going here, ordered 16 piece with 2 sides, mashed potatoes and and fruit, also ordered 5 piece catfish with 2 sides, macaroni and cheese and fried okra, what I got was totally different, the sides I got with the chicken was 2 fried okras, the sides with the fish was ok, the mashed potatoes was a small dish about 2 tablespoons, I didn't get any fruit and the fish was very small pieces, I will never go here again, chicken express blows this place away read more

From the time I ordered in the drive thru to the time I received my food, the order was wrong. I trusted there accuracy and never had an issue. Well it was the wrong order. Went back into the drive thru and informed them this is not what I ordered. So they corrected my order. Then they forget my fries. Cold fries including the chicken. What the hell? You guys smoking dope? These local businesses are going down hill in quality service. From now on I'm not moving my car until I check my order. read more

Feeding a crowd of 6 on short notice is not easy. This store staff was very accommodating and "The Mixer" was just right to satisfy various tastes. Hard to believe, but some people have phobia about bones and will only eat tenders. So I needed something fast and spotted this fast food restaurant. The mixer came with 8 pieces of grilled, plenty of spicy and regular tenders, and three sides. I chose green beans, M&C, and mashed potatoes. It came with a pint of gravy which we really didn't need that much of. The choices of mixed chicken was helpful in accomplishing what I needed. The staff was also glad to supply cups, plates, cutlery without any attitude. Also gave us plenty of honey mustard and Ranch dipping sides. I forgot her name, but she double checked the bags to ensure everything was correctly included. Everyone loved the chicken and especially green beans. The only complaint was the small sides for 6. One teenager could eat the mac & cheese alone. Just wish the sides were a bit larger. Came with 8 butter rolls. Thanks G.C.! read more
