Look, it's a Chinese buffet in a strip mall but don't let that scare you. The food is good, although the chicken dishes are overcooked sometimes but overall it's decent food for a decent price. I tend to go for the sweet and sour chicken and the peanut butter chicken. I'm not one to partake of the raw fish but they do have a raw bar available. The food here is excellent! Lots of the typical buffet options but everything was well seasoned, tasty and fresh. They have great options including sushi. My favorites were the seafood. Tons of shrimp options, including my favorite (coconut shrimp) among others. I also loved the fried crab and baked clams. The dessert section was also very nice and had an array of treats. Gross! The worst meal I've had in a very long time. I'll eat almost anything and it takes a lot for me to say food isn't good. I eat a lot of Asian food and I am shocked how bad this was. Better Americanized Chinese and Japanese food at the Smithaven Mall food court by far. I had to spit out my first bite of sushi as it had obviously turned, and it went downhill from there. This is a family favorite restaurant for us. The food is outstanding, with a wide variety of selection. The price is unbeatable, we come here like twice a month. My husband I visited this buffet for the first time in five or so years while visiting family for the holidays. This had been a frequent spot of ours when we lived here, and the quality was already decent with a large selection. I was so pleased to discover that with the passage of time, things have only improved! Keep in mind that this is indeed a huge buffet with dozens of options and not all of them will be to everyone's liking. However I made sure to sample a bit of all of my old favorites and found them either to be the same or even better than I remembered them to be. Especially the sushi selection was much better than I remember it being. It was really refreshing to come have such a good experience here! On the drive home after eating from this restaurant, my stomach began hurting as if a big jock just sucker punched me in the gut. The entire drive home was nothing but pure suffering. I do not know what happened, if the food was undercooked or my body was weak today. But I do not recommend. It is downright dangerous. I used to hit this spot up a lot growing up and was happy to be able to stop in on our recent visit back to NY for the Christmas break. I'm pleased to say they have gotten better since I was last there! They added fake planters which give off a pleasant vibe. Tried the General Tso's ""chicken"" for the third time. Each time it was ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. I don't even think that is really chicken they're serving anyway. All grizzle, fat, bone fragments, pieces of muscle. Two nights ago was the last straw . Pulled out hard pieces ( like a tiny pebble) from my mouth and LITERALLY spit out the rest and threw it in the trash. I'm almost 70 years old and been around !!!! When refilled later diners were hoarding them on their plates and leaving nothing for the next person on line! Clusters were small with little meat in the legs. Tried the ribs which were good and the best item was shrimp..both fried and in a shrimp and something sauce. Shell fish was not fresh! Clams were slimy and inedible. We were seated right away and headed directly to the buffet. One litmus test I use to judge a buffet is if the Crab legs are available frequently . No one wants to view a tragic scene of cloudy water with crab parts floating around. We scored crab legs so that was a plus. Now, my four star rating is for quantity more than quality. We pass by the place a few times and always see lots of people frequent this establishment. Last night, we tried it for the first time and this review is strictly based off this first visit. I have to say, we were quite impressed and exceeded our expectations for sure. Walking it around 7:45pm, we were seated right away and while there are a ton of tables and chairs, we never felt cramped at all and even the buffet selection area, the aisles were wide enough for people to pass with ease. Now onto the food selection, you have your typical fried rice, din sum selections, a variety of soups, fried shrimp, etc. So things you would commonly find in a typical Chinese buffet joint, you will find here. There are only just a few Chinese authentic dishes, mainly in the vegetable choices. Nonetheless, the food are temperature wise hot and the staffs do a great job of refilling without having to ask around. there are also a wide selection of sushi and rolls. I am always skeptical of eating sushi at Chinese buffet, but these sushi tasted okay and didn't felt fishy or rotten at all. Hygiene fo the most part in the restaurant and the bathroom are well kept and the staffs all wore mask. All the staffs are very nice and prompt to always take away the dirty plates. By the way, lunch price is $12.99 Mon thru Sat. So based on this one visit alone and at the dinner price of $18.99, I would come back for a second time for sure. read more

Used to frequent a great asian buffet place in Levittown when I lived closer to Nassau County. Recently moved further east on Long Island. Was very pleasantly surprised to find another asian buffet that measures up . . . to a degree. Food is very tasty, but I would like to see more diversity in selection than the usual chinese staples we all know and love. Sushi selection is also below average. Also, I would prefer if they had their own entrance from outside. Asked for paperwork no problem up until my last visit some guy I've never seen ever in all the years I've been going was incredibly nasty and yelled at me and my family about my service dog... So we have a tradition of having family get together's at this Golden Chinese Buffet. They have little areas for groups of 15-20 people and a large room in the back for 50 to 100. This year we only invited 15 close family to join us for Cami's birthday due to Covid and all. It was surprisingly crowded. I expected people to be timid about eating at a buffet, but no way. And they didn't hold back on the food-if something went empty it was quickly replenished. The old favorites- Great Grandma Anne's oysters ( she's 100 yrs old) were there, my son's crabslegs - they had 'em. I only eat chicken there- but fried chicken, sweet & sour chix- plenty... Everybody tanked up-no complaints. When the bill came like 19$ a person they added a 13% 'service charge'...we never could figure out how to tip in a Chinese Buffet since they don't really bring your food... maybe they screwed themselves? All in all everything was OK. Cleanliness? Seemed OK. I didn't check out the restroom- that's always a harrowing venture. Maybe next time. read more

Four stars for leaving satisfyingly full and not feeling like I overpaid and an extra star for taking extra precautionary measures so that I could enjoy my meal and not have to worry about the spread of the virus. The seating area is separated off far away from the buffet tables with significant spacing between each table, patrons were required to wear masks when leaving their table and staff obviously had masks on at all times. The customer seating capacity was also cut down dramatically. I have been wary about dining out since the pandemic, let alone a buffet but some friends of mine won't stop raving about this spot so I finally decided to give it a try. I absolutely love buffets and I've been to them all; from small mom and pops to extravagant Vegas ones. This one is pretty standard, more geared towards Asian cuisine but they do have something for everyone. I always go straight to the sushi bar first. I enjoyed the seafood medley with crab legs and the kids loved the lo mein, pizza and chicken nuggets. My meal ended nicely with some fresh fruits (mango and honeydew) from the dessert bar and a small serving of green tea ice cream. This place is a one hit wonder. After one time visiting you wonder what the hell was I thinking? I never go to buffets normally however was invited here so I was obligated to go. I do have to say they did offer quite a selection but a few bites of some of the selections and it was obvious this was low quality food being offered. When we arrived we were seated quickly and two options of soda were offered a watered down cola and orange soda. No other choices were offered. When I needed to use the bathroom I have to be honest the place smelled like somebody shit out a goat! Add to that a weak dryer leaving your hands wet with no other option to dry them. One whole section is non-Chinese food like pizza, chicken nuggets, tacos, etc. There is also a fruit and dessert section, and a big sushi selection along the wall. They have a small dish of steamed crab legs but when they came out I had the sense I would have had to throw a punch to get near it. People took a ton at once and were pushing to get near them so I didn't bother. Looked good though. The food was not hot and they don't reserve the food back once it's empty, overpriced even for the kids it's the same price as the adults poor quality in the restaurant and there where bugs on the floor and mosquitoes, the service was really bad they never came to tell us if we wanted more soda even though our seats were right next to them. There even a 2% fee when paying with credit/debit cards just for the restaurant itself my total was about $96.38 dollars so I paid 100 in cash no tip because of the service and they had this really annoyed/angry face on them. read more

If you know a better buffet establishment, my I suggest you go there. My philosophy is, all buffet places should be $30 a person, but the joints gotta be awesome, not mediocre or just alright. Bc let's face it, we love fresh, seasoned juicy seafood, which this place totally lacks, but makes up for in Ribs and fresh sushi. The desert was limited, and the crawfish was bland..
