I have been going to this restuarant for over 10years. It is the same owners and they are very nice people. Im my opinion they are the best chinese food place in the East Yaphank, Shirley area. The food here is always delicious, nice serving size, and fresh. Some of my favorites are Roast Pork Lo- mein ( i asked for it in a box container) , general tso tofu, cheese wantons, egg rolls, and roast pork fried rice. Everything thing they make is really delicious. They are all ALWAYS friendly and polite. I like my LoMein in a box container and they always say no problem when I order it that way. read more

Really good takeout! Reasonable prices & generous portions. It's my go to when I'm at work. Come once a week. Sooooo good! They have a handful of tables if you want to eat there. Everytime i go for lunch, there's always people dining in. It's clean. Nothing to look at, just your typical walk in walk out take out joint. read more

Great food; reasonably priced. Parking lot easy to get in and out. Definitely a busy place but they are organized and have your food ready when promised. Note that credit card payment is only accepted on orders $15 and over. My favorite is their white meat general Tso chicken with a white rice substitution and an Eggroll. Yummy read more

By far the best Chinese I have eaten in years. Definitely recommend this place. Food is great and the people that work there are very friendly. read more

We come here when we don't have cash for another spot to deliver. It's not bad at all, it's just not our family's preference. I prefer their sesame chicken and veggie lo mein usually. read more

There food is delicious there general tos is so gucking delicious it's always my go to

Typical Chinese takeout. Not very many good places in Long Island. Not bad. I would get food again here when i crave Chinese, since it is the closest one to my home. Service is the usual brusque person at the counter, but that is also usual and ok. read more

This place is so good. No othet Chinese food can compare (at least for me). The food comes out super quick and the dumplings are so delicious. Their prices are reasonable as well!! read more

After reading a bunch of reviews about this place, and seeing this restaurant pop-up for a list I follow on Yelp, I decided to give them another try. This place has been around for a long time, and I never really liked them because their food was way too oily with puddles or oil on the plate. They also lacked flavor in the past, and their portions were small. So I decided tried them today after not having their food for a couple of years. We called in for a take-out order and they gave us our order number and told us it would be ready in 15mins. When we arrived our food was ready. They do not take Discover credit card, but they do accept other credit cards and cash. The good was very hot and looked good. I completely agree with some of the reviews. Their food has gotten so much better!!!! We got the General Tso Chicken, beef chow ho fun, fried dumplings, and Singapore Mei Fun. All the food was very good and flavorful, and they were not drowning in puddles of oil. We got the combo meal for the General Tso Chicken so it came with fried rice and an egg roll. There was much sauce, and the chicken was not dry. The beef chow ho fun was good, and the fried dumplings were amazing. They put more meat than other Chinese take-out places, and the dumpling skin was a good thickness. The Singapore Mei Fun was very flavorful and delicious. We will definalty order from them again. read more

We ate here about 9 months ago and filed the experience as worth revisiting. Last week we craved good Cantonese and NOK delivered that taste and preparation that exemplified Cantonese of yore! The LoMein and Beef with Brocolli were delish as were their perfectly laquered Spare Ribs...Mmmm! They are doing take out only, but the service is spot on and the order was totally correct! This place is now on the top of our Chinese rotation and we look forward to ordering again soon. read more

I used to very excited about this place about 6 months ago, even abandoning my other Chinese place I used to frequent. However lately for about 2 months the food and service have not been what it used to be. Not sure what has happened. read more

Bomb Chinese food . ! Fried rice is so good . Dumplings are good . Spare ribs are decent not my fav . Very good spot

Saw how many great reviews there were for this place so decided to give it a whirl -- and the hype is real people! I usually judge a Chinese place by its fried rice, and this is legit real fried rice and not that yellow junk you see at a lot of places these days. Dumplings were delicious, boneless spare ribs amazing, sweet and sour chicken awesome, great Lo Mein. Food was ready in 10 mins even as crazy busy as they were -- and prices were incredibly reasonable. I think we found our new go-to spot for great Chinese food! read more

Lady with the big mole on her eyebrow is an idiot, im guessing she's the owner because her customer service skills are horrendous. How do you lose a frequent customer just because you want me to buy something i don't want to meet a $15 minimum to pay with a card. Is that even legal? I don't want a dam drink lady, just let me pay for my food, it's only $1.50 off. She was willing to throw the food in the garbage for 1. Fking 50..How cheap can you be? Really? Never again read more

Pretty solid spot foods always good here and they are pretty quick with there turn around and deff always have Alton of people there so you know the food is always fresh. Customer service is pretty good there as well. The inside isn't the greatest looking like fine dining. It's more of just a great takeout spot. read more

I was really starting to give up on trying to find good Chinese takeout in the area. So glad I tried new oriental kitchen! I got it delivered via doordash and the food arrived very hot. Wonton soup is solid. I was craving it all morning and it's hitting the spot. I got the beef and broccoli combination platter. Other than the beef being a little too saucy, it's really good!! The sauce isn't too thick so I don't mind that. The fried rice is perfect. read more

This was my favorite Chinese take-out spot for the longest time. However, lately it just hasn't been up to par. Boneless spare ribs have been full of fat and super oily. It seems that they replaced duck sauce packets with a homemade duck sauce in a container that isn't as great (we were charged extra for packets?). Beware that there is a $15 minimum if you intend to pay with a card. read more

Typical Chinese food. Nothing special. Ribs are always burnt Dirty beyond belief. Filthy. I can not believe the health department has not shut this place down. read more

Good food, regular sized portions, reasonable pricing, and quick delivery. What more could I ask for?

The traditional Chinese food is okay. The chef is not skilled at making healthy steamed chicken and tends to dry it out. I would never order steamed food from them. read more

Best Chinese take out in the area. Eat at really good ones in the city all the time and I have to say, I think this is better than even any of those. Good quality meat, cooked great, flavors are great. read more

I was gaming and my stomach began to rumble. Checking my refrigerator I knew there was a problem, it was empty. So with that, I was eating out. I decided to call ahead and pick up my food from "New Oriental Kitchen." I spoke to a lady on the phone who was very pleasant. She told me it would be ready in ten minutes. Now you know that means twenty five minutes when you call in. But I wanted to get there and see some other stores it shares the parking lot with. When I arrived a decided to let them know I was there and how long till It would be ready. When you walk in, there's not much to the place. Just some tables and chairs, bad paint job and a soda machine. The nice lady was sitting there and greeted me. I told her my order and she said "it's ready, what sauce you want?" I thought there must be a mistake or she confused my order, my food is ready? Sure enjoy my name was on it with a great price for everything by the way. I had no time to walk around. I took out my card, which they accept, paid and went home. When I sat down to eat it, I was surprised with how good the crab ragoons were. They had a unique flavor to them. After I pulled out the chicken. Again there had to be a mistake. They gave me enough chicken for two people and for only ten dollars. I said to myself this can't be right. But I had it and possession is nine tenths of the law. So I ate it. Again I was taken back. The chicken and the sauce were perfect. It tasted better then I could have imagined. That two person plate quickly became one project only for me. I ate it all. I definitely was satisfied. I'm pretty sure I won't be hungry two hours later so I will definitely have this place as my new spot. If your in the area and need a break from any activities, then give them a try. read more

Placed a group order here while on shift at a nearby Volunteer Ambulance Company. First time trying NOK and I was definitely wowed! They practiced safe customer service with plexiglass windows at the counter and a bank drive thru style deposit box window. Service was friendly and they didn't mind ringing up separate orders. I ordered steamed dumplings and chicken lo mein. The dumplings were absolutely delicious and I must say that the lo me in was probably the best I have ever had. The other crew members mentioned how much they enjoyed their food as well. I'm only in NY for a little more than a month, moving to FL, so I will be sure to eat here at least once more before I go. Thank you for a great dinner! read more

First time getting Chinese food during my NY visit. Food was very good service was fast. Enough for 2 meals.

Best Chinese food in area.Tried all the local places around. Service is fast and food is always good

Love them, only Chinese place i go to!! Super cheap also. I recommend the wonton soup and shrimp lo mein

Good, fast, cheap chinese food... plain and simple. Portions are HUGE here... definitely enough for multiple meals, which is even more cost savings. Score! They cook everything perfectly... and in a wok... you can tell from the flavor. I like that the meat and veggies are never over or undercooked with just the perfect amount of sauce. Love their wonton soup - lots of meat and really tasty. One nice thing about this place is when you order for take out, I think they purposely prepare the food/soup hotter than when you dine it which is nice cus the food is still piping hot when you get home. I come here everytime we visit the boyfriend's family and we always leave happy. read more

First time ordering from here, we were very pleased with our food and the service was good as well. Just ordered some basic stuff, soup and rice etc. We'll be back again to give some other menu items a try. read more

It is rare that I would ever say anything is the absolute worst. This place has won that honor. I have tried the food here many times. Either they under-cook, over-cook, microwave or they just get the order wrong. The final straw was this weekend. Chicken and broccoli. A simple staple at any Chinese restaurant. The broccoli was so tough I could not even stick a fork in it. The chicken was stringy. Chicken is not supposed to be stringy. It made ma think of cat. Thinking of cat... there goes a whole meal in the trash. Thank you for that. read more

After reading the other reviews, I was anxious to try this place. I was disappointed in the food and consider it mediocre. With so many other excellent places around, I'll drive the extra few miles next time. I can only assume the other reviewers are hard up for Chinese food. read more

First off this is a real hidden gem.. I'm from a part of California where we pay 5x to get really good Chinese like this. Found out this place reopened after being closed due to the COVID-19. I was craving good Chinese for 2 months. The food here has always been good. But once they reopened the food was outstanding! I dont know who is doing the cooking now but the dishes have spices I never really tasted before. I love the flavors. The dumplings never tasted as good as they were today. The pork fried rice was not greasy. It was light and fluffy. The chicken with broccoli was saucy and also not too oily. The sweet n sour chicken actually started off sweet and finished sour. We never had it taste like that before. We loved it. Keep up the great work! read more
