Once again, Gold & Diamond Source did NOT disappoint. Thank you to Hala Tarrab for her patience, kindness and willingness to work with me in upgrading my diamond and wedding set. Followed by going the extra mile to have it ready for me BEFORE I left the store! I came in with a trade in mind, a vision and a budget and she did her very best to help me accomplish my goal! I will be back as we having been coming back since our first purchase back in 1990-91when my husband purchased my engagement ring followed by our wedding bands! It is a tradition! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Hala!! read more

Went to get a setting for a 2ct diamond I already owned, mistake. Ola was rude, plain rude. After being annoyed and short with me she then decided to lie. I asked about a particular setting as my diamond is round and the setting was for an oval. She told me she would have to ask the jeweler if it could be modified, then asked me if I was going to but it right now. I said no, I need to show my significant other. Then she lied and said that she was a jeweler and that it could be done but it would cost $300 and then $200 to set the diamond... She did not even measure my stone. I have some awful opinions about what could have been going on, I can't prove them so I will keep them to myself. What I do know is that she lied and she treated me badly. I suspect because all in was only going to spend 5-7k. She let me take pictures of the tags too bad you can't look the rings up on the website with the numbers she "let me picture" cause she was too lazy to write them down. Business are responsible for the people they employ and Gold and Diamond Source has at least one liar. ETA: Notice how Gold and Diamond Source will not admit that their employee is not a jeweler. Don't worry they told me and they have it posted on their website :). I would rather eat my hat than go in that store again. read more

Had to go back out to this location to drop off a piece of jewelry that my husband purchased for me to be altered. Tyler was his usual pleasant and helpful self. Lol... The business was taking a lot of precautions amid the Covid restrictions. I found that to be pretty awesome. I could tell that the owners truly care about the safety of both their customers and themselves. The gift bags with the gloves, masks and other anti-bacterial products that they were giving away at the door with a great added touch. I definitely wasn't expecting it to be that crowded on that day. We actually had the pleasure of meeting Julie. I guess I wasn't expecting her to be so kind and helpful. It was a very nice surprise. She was very kind and pleasant to talk to. She is very down to earth. Which I guess I was not expecting after seeing her on commercials and billboards and such. Thanks Julie! My husband surprised me with purchasing a Mother's Day great gift which Julie wrapped for me and I was very appreciative. I wasn't expecting it nor was I expecting her to be wrapping it for me. All in all it was yet another pleasant shopping experience. Tyler is always on top of his game. Other people who choose to stand around and look at you and not offer to help should take note of the way Tyler handles his business. Just saying..... I cannot stress enough how glad I am that we "DID" decide to listen to an associate of ours and check out this store. It is well worth the trip across the bay. We had seen the store in passing for years now. But had never checked it out. We had no idea what we were missing! Being the jewelry lover that I am, I know that they'll be seeing more of me in the future. Thanks again Tyler and Julie! You rock! read more

I highly recommend Olivia who is a rare find. She gave us a great experience as we were looking for a 34 th wedding anniversary gift. She listened and presented the jewelry in our range. Olivia followed thru on several pieces we had repaired in addition to our purchase. Just exceptional customer service. We have found a quality sales person. Will be back soon. read more

Great experience buying my new 4ct diamond!! The store is beautiful from the moment you pull into the parking lot. Walking up the red carpet you get a very inviting and important feeling. A big shout out to Elise and Mais! Great customer service, they both gave good advice & education to buying a new diamond. When I arrived for my appointment there were many different size and priced stones. I was shown 3.5 to over 5ct stones. All so beautiful! I was not pressured at all to buy. I purchased a diamond over 4ct, the jeweler replaced my stone while I waited. I was defiantly WOWed when I received my ring. BLING BLING!! I would definitely recommend this store when buying jewelry. read more

My husband and I went to look at rings and met Mais. She was beyond helpful! She was able to show us so many different options and was patient while I tried on so many different settings for the diamond we chose. There are so many different settings to choose from! You will definitely find the perfect ring! I ended up with the absolute ring of my dreams!!!! I highly recommend you go and request Mais!!!! This jewelry store is a very large free standing building with plenty of parking. Customers need to be buzzed in and there is an armed security guard present. Once you get past security the store is very inviting. The place is filled with numerous glass cases, each containing different jewelry. Watches, rings, necklaces, earrings, gold chains, engagement rings and wedding bands. They have it all and a large selection as well. If they do not have it, you will be hard pressed to find it elsewhere. The business also has a large online presence. There are numerous pictures and posters of the couple that own the store. They do a lot of TV advertisement. I also saw their adult children working behind the counters. The service was friendly and professional. We did not feel rushed or pressured to spend more than our budget allowed. Their prices ranged from reasonable to a down right bargain. I was very impressed to see such a well run family business. Steve founded this business after being on the jewelry manufacturing side. He, Julie and their family deserve all of their success. read more

I worked with Emily and Darrell to custom design a piece as a surprise Christmas present for my wife, who is not a big jewelry connoisseur. After meeting and talking with Emily, we decided to design a piece that signified where we were in our lives at the moment, giving added meaning. Darrell and his team were so patient with me in designing something that fit my preferences. They worked out an amazing deal for us, and had the piece specially shipped to our home in North Carolina, and so thoughtfully threw in an added gift (a box of chocolates) with the piece. Highest praise overall for the quality of the final product, top notch concierge level service, and most importantly the amazing team. Also so happy to work with those whose platform is making substantial contributions to the community. For that we are forever raving fans! Thanks Emily and Darrell, and thank you Julie and the crew for all the great work you do! read more

My husband and I went into Gold & Diamond source yesterday to upgrade my wedding ring and Diamond Dennis bracelet. Ola assisted us and from the beginning she was attentive, knowledgeable, and educated us along the way in an engaging manner. Things went very smoothly especially since I kind of already knew what styles I like and prefer. We ended up purchasing a new wedding band, engagement ring, 2ct center stone for the engagement ring, a tennis bracelet and another Diamond and gold ring for my right hand! They prepared my ring for me while we waited and sipped delicious red wine during the short wait. As I lay in bed this morning admiring my ring, I've decided that perhaps I DO want the Cathedral style band Ola initially showed me to go along with the engagement ring that I rejected (likely because I'm always conscious of our spending habits lol) but after 38 years of a happy marriage if this man insists on me being the happiest he can make me I am definitely going to call Ola today to make arrangements to go back in and swap UP on my band. Do yourself a favor and go to Gold and Diamond source and ask for Ola, you will not be disappointed! read more

This was my first time at this store. I don't usually purchase much jewelry due to having to watch finances (entire family is in law enforcement) so we're not very extravagant. I was excited to purchase the $500 gift card match as I've been wanting a nice ring. Come to find out, I would have had a much better deal without their gift card. The ring I wanted was $3700 with my gift card $3200(out of pocket). My friend went in the next day with me and was told since she didn't have the gift card, her price for the same ring was $2400! I wound up settling for a cheaper ring because of the gift card. Also, I wanted to trade in my diamond earrings. The first time I went in I was offered $400, 2 days later I was offered $150 for the same ring (they said because of gift card). I also had the feeling I was looked down upon since I wasn't spending much money (my friend also stated that she felt the same way). My sales lady was nice, it was the managers that made us feel that way. I was really disappointed since I have heard good things about this business in the past. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Darrell Cox, custom jewelry designer at the Gold and Diamond source. He created a beautiful custom piece to memorialize my father's wedding band into something that I can wear. We both loved to fish and were fishing buddies so he created custom fishing hooks shaped as a heart embellished with some loose stones that I had. Looks absolutely stunning! We're so glad we found him! His attention to detail was spot on and I would refer him to everyone that's looking for a custom piece to be made.Thank you Darrell!!! read more

Christy Wise is AMAZING!!! We purchased our wedding rings from her when she worked at jewelry store in Tampa that closed. When I found out she was working at Gold & Diamond I told my husband that he had to seek her assistance in picking out my Christmas present. My husband hates picking out gifts so I knew he would be in good hands with Christy! As always, Christy did not disappoint! On Christmas morning I woke up to find the most gorgeous diamond earrings under the tree. Christy had gift wrapped the earrings and added a card so my husband had to write a note to me. (I am a sucker for cards and love notes so brownie points for Christy!) horrible experience. my family and I have spent many thousands here over the year. they have received our last penny and hopefully yours. the customer service last time was unacceptable. we were looking at a $30,000 ring and was still disrespected. we spent 4 hours waiting for a price confirmation in that time we spent $1800 on other jewellery we were not expecting to buy. we left after that and after 48 hrs we still do not have a price on a ring we picked out almost a year ago. on a brighter side there is the INTERNATIONAL DIAMOND CENTER just up the street. not only was there customer service over the top they are getting everything made custom for thousands less. good luck gold and diamond source. I've seen their commercials for years now. Decided to make the trip from South Tampa to upgrade my wedding band. I'm so here for all the elaborate decorating let me tell you. Including a FABULOUS pair of gold shoes worn by one of the fashionable gentleman associates. Anyway. From the second I walked in, they rolled out the red carpet, and every customer thereafter they just provided stellar customer service. And well you might be thinking, yeah lady it's a jewelry store so they have to, to which i say not so fast. Customer service at most places, including another local jewellery store in the area, is quite lacking. I worked with Mr. Patrick Kelly, who's a G&D veteran, i learned. PK was fab, listened to exactly what i wanted and within ten minutes I was set. They sized it for me that day, and boxed my new ring up so beautifully. The quality of their products is so easily visible and they provided me with a lifetime warranty, including free cleanings and such. COVID: extra precautions all around, excellent job! Thanks PK and the G&D team!! Y'all work your butts off! Cheers! read more

Really not interested in helping you unless you want to sell them your jewelry. I was told they don't clean jewelry, they don't appraise jewelry, they don't give you any idea what it's worth yet they want to buy it from you. How do you know that what they're offering you is fair if they won't tell you what it's worth. Makes no sense. The girl who I was assigned to barely spoke above a whisper and did not want anything to do with me once I told her I wasn't sure about selling my jewelry. Very disappointed. Do yourself a favor and call first. I drove an hour for nothing. read more

I looked at jewelry they had on their website similar to what I was inquiring about selling. I knew the price would be low but when they offered me $300 for a diamond wedding band almost identical to ones they are selling for over $2,000--no thanks! The gentleman behind the counter was not friendly and overall from the moment I walked in the vibe was off. Maybe if I had brought my appraisal and insurance documents it would have turned out different but oh well. I won't be back. read more

We absolutely LOVE the Gold and Diamond Source! Debbie is by far the best in customer satisfaction and expertise. My husband bought my engagement ring and wedding band here about 6 years ago. We bring it every 6 months for service and cleaning....which of course has prompted us to buy other pieces of jewelry. They have the highest quality gold and diamonds with the best prices. And we have compared diligently and did our homework. They always honor their word with replacing and repairing anything that happens to any of our pieces because we are such loyal customers and bring our pieces in for service every 6 months minimum. I went to purchase a diamond ring, won't mention the name of the store, the sales person showed me a beautiful diamond that was almost perfect but had a huge flaw, it was very expensive for such a big flaw, then I was shown another diamond without the flow but the price had doubled, I think this is a sales technique used by sales people. A $4K purchase turned into $8K. I did not realize this until I got home and had a chance to collect my thoughts. If you're looking for a custom piece I definitely recommend G&DS. Darrell Cox is absolutely wonderful to work with. You won't be disappointed at any step in the process of designing a piece you'll love. My husband and I bought rings a while back from another jeweler as our engagement rings and used them again as our wedding rings. We agreed we'd find better rings later on. He found his ring in the store and I'm a lot more picky. I brought a design I liked to Darrell. He walked us through the process, what would work with the design I found and what wouldn't work for my wants and needs. We worked up an idea in the store, he showed me a wide variety of sapphire colors (I'm pretty sure he got sick of me at this point as I was very specific on the blue I wanted) and we came up with a rough idea. I got the renderings a couple days later and the idea was on track for what I wanted. I made some comments and some idea changes and Darrell delivered beyond what I was even looking for. We came to price and my husband and I agreed we needed to wait til next year (we just build our first house). I emailed Darrell and declined (in May) and promised to be back once we could swing it. Well I come to find out (last night) my husband had already contacted Darrell and told him I'd decline and to continue with making the ring. They'd both gone back and forth behind my back once I'd finalized a ring design that I loved and they both made it happen. My husband completely caught me off guard when he handed me the ring. It's even more beautiful in person and it definitely exceeded my expectations! I emailed Darrell and thanked him. I found out the first ring came back and it didn't meet Darrell's standards so he sent it back to make sure it was perfect. He even hand picked the sapphires himself because he's the only one who knew/had an idea of exactly what I wanted. If you want to have an awesome, fun experience (filled with lots of laughs) I 1000% recommend visiting Darrell at Gold & Diamond Source for your next custom piece. My best friend is ready to fly down and see him for a visit! Everyone there has been a pleasure to work with including Jules who helped us find my husband's ring. read more

Straightforward/ Honest review.... I went to many ring stores with my boyfriend to search for the perfect ring and buying experience. I will agree that the entrance of the store feels to have an extreme Fort Knox security type appeal & process to it. However, once you get past that and actually start looking around you will better understand why it is as such. They have some of the most beautiful and rare jewelry I have seen so you do have to be mindful to try not to take it personal when security pounces on you coming in the door. We worked with Tyler who was absolutely a pleasure to work with. He took time to show us as many rings as we wanted to see and made several suggestions that actually led to me finding the ring of my dreams! Tyler did not ask about a budget or make any assumptions he simply listened to my wishes and showed me what I asked for. Once we completed the purchase he explained in detail the paperwork, certificates and warranty information. We wound up making three total purchases and overall we had an excellent experience. We never felt rushed, or pressured in any way, we were offered drinks and treated well by our salesperson. read more

I went to the store by myself because my finace travels and I wanted to pick out a setting for my aquamarine stone for my wedding. At first everything seemed very normal and I was helped right away. I then started to feel like they felt I wasn't serious or I didn't have the money to pay for what I was looking at. Had a cop walking around ME the whole time. Gave my contact info to receive a text "in a few minutes" with the cost and breakdown of what I chose. Never got the text. So again, I feel like they felt I wasn't serious. I was very serious and willing to spend whatever as long as I loved it. I will take my business elsewhere, where the don't judge a book by it's cover.. P.S. What a fantastic jewelry store! Megan is amazing! She made my experience fun, personable and customized to my style. I will definitely be a loyal customer for years to come! I'm elated with the level of consideration that Megan took during my visit and truly appreciated her commitment and suggestions. The showroom has several options for the most cost efficient to extravagant budgets. Their customer service, level of care and attention to detail is extraordinary. Masks are required upon entry and hand Sanitizer will be provided before entering the showroom area. I loved that I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and assistance if needed upon arrival. These pros are truly gifted at helping you find the piece that is perfect for you while providing a remarkable and tailored appointment. I've been to several other jewelry stores that have made me feel like I was taken advantage of or felt immediate buyers remorse after the purchase. At this store they actually take extra care to ensure that you are comfortable with the price and actually "like" what you're buying.
